"This is easy Rene. In the room and out the other side. You'll be done in no time."
"Room 101?"
"Well we -are- on the first floor..."
"...And you think I'm ******** illiterate. Fine. Let's get this done."
"After you."
Rene flicked the cigarette aside, walking into the obligatory dark hall. Numerous sharp turns, odd angles to the walls, it was tedious. She knew all the rules. Nothing like having gym class turned into urban assault training. She lazily walked through the middle of the hall, reaching a blind corner.
Please.
Rene took a deep breath, and without looking turned the corner. Yes, the lights went on. Yes the claxons blared, and yes, the soldiers started screaming, opening fire. Rue simply raised her hand, smiling as the swarm of bullets coming at her transformed into tennis balls.
Tennis balls moving at the speed of sound.
It wasn't so much painful as it was stunning. Rene was smashed against the back of the hall by fifty high velocity tennis balls. The idiots hadn't stopped firing. She tried to focus her powers, but now the -racquet- balls were bouncing her skull against the wall. She flailed panicking, her powers going wild.
"Clear!"
The soldiers lowered their weapons as doll entered the room. One of them pointed into the hall. Doll nodded, and began digging through the pile of salmon, mackerel, and gym socks to get to the layer of athletic gear. In time, she found a hand.
"Come on. out you go."
"They reloaded twice!"
"You were still a threat."
"Twice?!?"
"Okay. the third barrage was for the soldiers. I promised them a barbecue if they kept you in the hall, and you didn't start on fish until the second reload."
"I hate you."
"Keep it up. Rene. You're saving us a fortune in sports equipment."
Doll kept walking, her stride never changing as the tennis balls bounced off her shining form.

It is true to Rene's charactor. O: Well, from what I've seen of her. And Rowan's last barb was quite nice. It suggests the possibility for a closer relationship than what woul be taken at face value.
