Simia was stretched out moodily on the ground, sulking. The last target of her flirting had just gotten a little too... 'fresh' for her, and she'd had to let him know that she wasn't interested in going 'that far' in a relationship. She didn't want to get stuck with eggs. Even more than that, she wasn't sure she wanted to get stuck with him.
He hadn't taken it well.
Simia frowned, eyes narrowed at her paw, which had a large scrape on it that was slowly oozing blood, which mixed with her light blue fur. So not attractive. Funny how you could think a guy was perfectly sweet... or at least tolerable... and then he could turn out to be so violent...
Just because they'd spent a few days in each others company, it was no reason to leap to conclusions and assume that Simia was ready to start a family... Or at least start taking the steps that led to starting a family.
Luckily, after that one swipe on the paw, he'd gotten his agression out and left in a huff. Simia's paw stung a little, but she was sure his pride stung much worse...
Only now she was bored again.
And there didn't seem to be any cute guys in the area.
This was problematic.
"WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO?" Simia cried to the sky, not expecting to recieve an answer.

Lysander wasn't having any luck in his search for true love...infact he hadn't even found any female, let alone the female for him. Sighing, Lysander wasn't really watching his surrounding as he walked and so was very shocked when a yell sounded ahead of him.
It was a dragon!! and a female at that!
...an injured female.
Lysander was thrilled at seeing another dragon but all of Lysander's protective instincts were kicking in, screaming at him to help. Walking up slowly to the light blue dragon,not wanting to frighten her, " Is there anything I can help you with Miss?"

"Woah!" Simia must've jumped ten feet into the air. She then proceeded to whirl around and gape openly at the male dragon that had appeared out of nowhere. Oh. This works. She thought to herself quickly.
Acting like she had not just had the snot scared out of her, she quickly sat down gracefully and curled her tail around herself serenely.
"Oh, no, I-I'm fine," She stammered, pretending to be shy. She looked up at him hesitently and raised her injured paw, slowly. "Except for... Well... My paw..."
Hopefully this male wasn't the type to pass out at the first sign of blood. She'd tried one of these 'I'm injured, protect me things' on one dude? He'd fainted on the spot. Since she hadn't met any dragons for days before that, and didn't expect to see one anytime soon, she'd had to wait awkwardly for him to wake up.... the next morning. And the whole time they'd talked, he'd had to avert his eyes from her injury, which happened to be on her face. It was very hard to flirt with a guy when he couldn't even look at her without passing out. If Simia had felt like being totally vain, she could've thought to herself that he was fainting because of her beauty... But no, she wasn't that conceited.
And only the males that understood that were the ones that stood a chance with her in the 'mate' category.

Worriedly Lysander took a look at the injured paw and had to withhold a growl, but he wasn't completely successful. It looked like someone had used thier claws on this lovely femme's paw.
"Who hurt you? " Lysander tired to ask calmly but some of his anger leaked out in a growl at the end of his question. He hated seeing anyone hurt let alone a female.
Looking around, Lysander spotted just the plant he needed and a small stream would be a good place to clean the wound. Gathering the leaves, Lysander used a claw to scrap the center of one of the long leaves, causing a green substance to bead out. It was good as a antiseptic and would help the would to heal easier and without as many complications.
"Okay, we just need to clean it out and then I can treat it."

"Oh," Simia dropped her eyes, pretending to be anxious, "no one... Well... My ex-boyfriend... He seemed so nice, but then he turned out to be such a creep..." She sighed wistfully. "It's so hard to find a decent guy these days..."
The protective reaction was good; bonus points for him. But the last thing Simia needed was an over-protective boyfriend, who'd flip out when she flirted with another guy. Which she - inevitably - would do. She took away the bonus points until she could figure out the depths of his protective nature.
Her brows raised as she watched him go about gathering leaves and talking doctor-ey stuff. A man well-versed in the medical profession. That would come in handy... as long as he wasn't a geeky doctor goof who talked about festering wounds and the gross ways they were treated in the middle of dinner. She'd see when they got to lunch (because of course, she was going to be too injured to hunt, so he'd have to take care of her). But for the moment, the bonus points made a re-appearance.

Lysander nodded as he listened and worked to clean out the wound and used the leaves to treat and wrap it. "Well it sounds like he was a creap, Miss..."
Blushes slightly, "How dreadfully terrible of me, I haven't even introduced myself. Lysander at your service, my lady and I assure you that not all males are as dispicable as your ex seems to be."

Simia nodded sorrowfully, looking down at the ground. A small smile flicked onto her lips for a milisecond as the male began to blush. So he seemed interested... And he sounded pretty sophisticated too; a real gentleman, perhaps? Those were one in a million lately...
"Oh, I have no doubt of that, Lysander," a shy blush rose to her cheeks as she batted her eyes gently. She put a little extra emphasis on his name, "not where it comes to you, at least... But he seemed nice, too... Don't let me down, okay?" She looked up and beamed at him, pouring it on. It'd taken her ages to figure out how to make herself blush just the right amount, but now she was a master. Guys seemed to like the pathetic females that always needed a male to be happy; especially the gentlemen. They always wanted someone to protect.
Of course, I'm not REALLY that kind of girl, Simia thought to herself quickly, I don't NEED a guy to be happy... Do I?

Lysander shifted slightly as the female said his name, he wasn't used to it being said like that. "I will try not to, my lady...and would you be willing to part with a name, so that I may know what to call you?"
He wasn't trying to be overly flowery with his speech but that was how he had been raised. His mother wouldn't have let him get away with being anything less then respectful. She had been a complicated one, his mother. She didn't mind Lys father caring for her but she always made it a point to prove she could do it for herself as well and would sometimes leave for a few days at a time if Lys' father got too bad. They had a love of the ages and that was what Lysander wanted for himself. They weren't perfect, and sometimes they fought but they always came back to each other, still completely in love.

"Oh," Simia giggled sillily ((is that a word? o.o)) "My name's Simia. You can call me Meeya, if you want to." She smiled up at him shyly.
It killed her to act like such a ditz. But lots of guys liked ditzy girls, and... maybe it would work on this guy. But if it didn't, she'd just change her behavior. She did this occasionally, if a strategy wasn't working on a guy, or if - as in the case of Simia's last boyfriend - it worked a little too well. Sometimes the male involved had things switched on him so suddenly that it left him reeling. But any mate-worthy guy - in Simia's opinion - would need to be used to that in order to get along with her.

Lysander frowned slightly before the manners his mother instiled in him took over causing him to smile at Simia, "It is a pleasure to make your aquantance Simia. Is there anywhere you need to be? I do not mind to be an escort if you so need, infact some company would be a nice change for me."
Lysander really did want some company even if it was only for a short time. Although, he wasn't quite sure what to make of Simia. Her moods seemed to change rapidly but Lysander just figure he would understand her better as time went on, and if he didn't, then he wasn't meant to.

"Oh, I don't have anywhere I need to be," Simia replied simply, innocently dragging her un-injured paw in the dust, making a heart pattern idley, "I've just been roaming the past few weeks anyway..." A look of alarm rose to her face suddenly. "But- If my ex comes back... I'm not sure I want to be walking around alone, with that creep still around... It might be dangerous..." A small smile came onto her features. "Hey! Would you mind if I just tagged along with you for a while? Just until I feel safe again? I really don't care where we go, as long as you're there." She forced a blush to her face and giggled self-consciously. "T-To protect me, of course." She laughed shyly.
If only Simia could jump off a cliff or something; maybe that would make talking this way a little less painful.

"That would be acceptable, Simia. I really dont have a set path that I've been traveling on, I'm simply seeing what this world has to offer, but your more then welcomed to travel with me. Especially if that brute who hurt you is around, it's always better to travel in groups."
Looking around at the darkening sky, Lysander frowned, "Perhaps it would be best if we find a place to sleep for the night and we can head out tommorrow. That way we can give your paw a chance to heal some and start our travels fresh."

A small, irritated frown flashed onto Simia's face, then was instantly replaced by a calm look and a nod of agreement.
Acceptable? He's supposed to be falling all over himself. 'Th-That'd be great, Meeya!' and then maybe drool a little bit. That's usually how guys react. It was how the last guy reacted...
Simia then tuned back into Lysander's words. He was suggesting that they stop for the night. She scrutinized his behavior thoroughly before deciding that there wasn't even a hint of double meaning in his voice. Which was both good and bad. By no means was she ready to... 'Start a family' with this guy... But he should seem at least a little interested in her; he should reveal something when talking about going to sleep for the night... And yet he seemed totally innocent. Was it really possible that he wasn't interested in her?
...
No biggie. She'd just have to change her attitude a bit, and he'd be all over her... Well... Hopefully not All over her... But at least he'd act interested in her. Simia briefly debated making the transition now, but then decided that the morning would be best.
"Yes, I think a fresh start tomorrow would probably be best," Simia agreed simply, making hearts in the dirt once again. Then she remembered that she was supposed to be all worried about her 'big bad ex' coming back. "As long as it's somewhere SAFE, I mean," she covered quickly, a very real blush threatening to crawl up her neck. She forced it down quickly and made herself smile innocently again.

Finding the small cave had been fortunate, since Lysander hated sleeping out in the open. There was something unnerving about not having something between him and the night sky.
Streching, Lysander quietly got up, not surprised he was the first to get up. He was an early riser and it had given his parents fits when he was younger and they would wake up to find him gone. He never went far but he couldn't lay still after he was up and so would go outside to enjoy the morning.
Looking at his sleeping compainion, Lysander smiled slightly. She really was a beautiful dragon but Lysander wasn't looking for looks alone. There had to be a connection between him and who ever his mate to be was.
Not wanting to disturb her with his fidgeting, Lysander carefully made his way out the door to enjoy the morning sun, until Simia awoke.

Simia usually woke up pretty early - most of the time in order to creep away from whatever male she'd gotten tired of. A lot of the time they didn't want to let her leave; at least not until they'd... Mated. With her. So, she had gotten into quite a habit of getting up early and sneaking away before her current boyfriend woke up. Nowadays, even when she wasn't planning to sneak away, she still was usually the first to wake up when sleeping in the company of another dragon. This was why she was a bit surprised to wake up and already find Lysander gone.
Oh, shoot! Simia thought to herself. Did he get sick of me and decide to leave? It could take me months to find another guy... and this one had promise, too...
Sighing aggravatedly, she hauled herself to her feet and walked out of the cave. She just about turned to run back inside when she saw Lysander outside, standing in the sun.
Yes! He didn't leave! She thought to herself exultantly. Then- But wait. My fur! I didn't expect him to be here, so I didn't even TRY to smooth it out! And- I haven't figured out what personality I'm going to do yet!!
You'd never know that Simia had such panicked thoughts on the inside, for a pleasant smile was on her face...
