It was odd, really. The math couldn't be argued - there were as many Sith as there were Jedi younglings at the temple - but it sure didn't seem that way. Sure, there were a few around - Jacen, Maki - but it always seemed like the others slipped between cracks when there wasn't a lesson going on.

And so Poy'loyi'nercathi was on the sidelines once again. After the masters had dismissed them at the second lesson, she'd attempted to find other Sith. The three she'd talked to had already been paired. Now she wandered aimlessly around the courtyard and outdoor areas of the temple, just to fill the time. She'd seen several Jedi pairs, talking or sitting.

Giving her legs a rest, she sat down in the shade and glowered at a couple of the pairings. Frustration with them let her flicker bits of the force. At least she had that.

Ayanna had been having similar fortune--or lack thereof--in finding a partner, and it was getting on her nerves. The fact that said frustration caused the Force to glimmer at the edge of her senses was poor consolation. It was better than nothing, but only barely. It cast a cloud over her usually-cheerful demeanor, turning her light step into something similar to a stalking pace as she entered the courtyard.

Her eyes lit upon Poly'loyi, a fellow Sith student, and her expression brightened a little as her steps quickened. Her smile was still a little forced as she flopped down next to the Twi'lek, but not as much as it might have been. "Looking for anyone, or just enjoying the shade?"

It took Poy'loyi a moment to translate the words and get over the slight shock of another Sith finding her before she found them. It appeared as though one of those cracks in the walls so many of them scurried to was nearby. The human girl's name was Ayanna, she was pretty sure. It seemed rather short for a name; there was likely more that Poly'loyi hadn't heard. She'd have to find it out eventually.

She found the Basic words to say. "Shade, for now. It is much brighter than my home. Walking in such strong light... is strange to me, Ayanna." She was squinting all the time, here. Poly'loyi assumed this environment was closer to the human's home than her own.

Obviously the girl had come alone, but she went through the motions anyway. Looking past Ayanna, she scanned the vicinity. "You are without a partner?" At least she thought those were the right words.

Jaina was still worried, Alanna hadn't sent a real message to her, just a short one about meeting a Poly'loyi. She assumed the girl would be twi'lek by the name but then again names could be deceiving. She looked around the courtyard. She spotted who she assumed was Poly'loyi by the tree. "Poly'loyi?" Jaina called as she trotted towards the group of two. Hopefully one of them would acknowledge that as her name.

Apparently she had assumed too soon. Looking up, she Ayanna's partner now, jogging towar them. Surprisingly enough, though, the girl spoke Poy'loyi's name, not Ayanna's. What was going on here?

It was also irritating how similar they were. The two of them looked so much alike! If it wasn't for the brown or yellow head-fur, it would have been hard for her to say which was Ayanna and which wasn't. "I am Poy'loyi. Which is it that is your name?" If she was going to tell them apart, at least she could have more identification for them.

Jaina stopped short as the blue thing spoke. This was her partner? Jaina had a very rude look on her face and tried to figure out what Poy'lyoi was. Jaina was confused. She had heard the term twi'lek, but had yet to see a picture of one.

After she stared for a few seconds she smiled. "I'm Jaina! Ummm....nice to meet you, both." She finally nodded to the other girl. She looked human. "Are we all partners?"
