"Welcome..." You mutter as you read the sign that is mounted on a stake outside the cozy shack. There is a small chain loosely fixed on the bottom of the stake, making it look slight like a 'Beware the Dog' sign. You shrug and hurry to the door. The wind is blowing as you draw your jacket tighter.

Suddenly, the door swings open, and a girl of perhaps 16 years old, looking flustered, stands in the doorway. She brushes a strand of hair away from her face, her blue eyes shining as she lets out a mock sigh.
"Hi!" She exclaims cheerfully. "You must be cold. Come on in!" She nudges the door open farther with her slipper and stands aside. You sweep inside gratefully as she goes to tidy up the cottage. "It's a little messy in here, you'll have to forgive me. Oscar goes around deliberately wreaking havoc in here." She grins at you, rolling her eyes.
"Right. First of all, a few rules..."

"Oh, you might be here for a few days. I think a snowstorm's coming." The girl said. "I'm Moon, by the way. Pleased to meet you. I'll show you around!"

You follow Moon down the hall, look about curiosly. On one wall, there is a small piece of paper that looks like a certificate. You lean closer to read it - oh joy! It's a story! Well, more like an imagination by Moon. She doesn't seem to notice as you lag behind to read the framed paper.

KittysMoon/spottedleef
Oscar mainly sleeps on my Mama's bed. He is a twenty year old tabby with large, green eyes, a white muzzle, and strips on his tail. His "Mom" is our room-mate. He mainly stays on the bed, but gets up to go to the litterbox and for food many times a day, and goes for a morning stroll around the yard and around the house every once and while. He is very wise and intelligent, and perks up when you enter the room. He and my other cat, Jasmine (literally ... it's scary ...) are in love. She sleeps pressed against his fur, and cleans him often. He won't let another cat so close to him willingly. He likes distance, especially from Kitty, because they do not get along, and Redford, a little kitten scamp who sneaks up on him in his sleep, tags him, and runs away for the fun of it. That's when he becomes a grumpy old man. "You stink'n furball! Why, if I'd had the legs for it, you'd be mouse bait, you little ball of red devil fur! D:<" xD;; But he's a sweet cat, just not so much to Red. He forces Red to clean him. "Now you see here!" xD That's really the basic character ... you can build past, likes, more character, ect ... this is just how I imagine my cat (and some things are literal ... like the whole jasmine thing 0_0)

A door suddenly swings open, and a tabby cat comes trotting out. It shoots you an angry, grumpy glare as it stalks past, stopping to twine around Moon's ankles for a few seconds, and then running out to the living room again. Moon grins cheerfully again.
"That." She said. "Is Oscar. He can be a real grouch, so watch what you do. He normally sleeps in the guest room, so he won't thank you for kicking him out. But he won't hold a grudge." Moon smiles again and waves at the room. "Make yourself comfortable. I'll get you a change of clothes." She turns to go. "Oh, you might wanna know a little about Oscar..."

Name: Oscar
Type: Angelic Tabby
Age: Newborn Kitten
Personality: Being a very wise, intelligent, and curious cat, Oscar will perk up whenever Moon enters the room. Anyone else, and he will look up at them with sparkling eyes that suggest they might have been aliens, and he would not have known the difference. He does not enjoy the company of other cats, except perhaps Jasmine, willingly. He likes more distance between him and others of his species - especially Redford. He does not like being tagged in his sleep, and wake to see the kitten running away. It makes him grumpy and grouching. Needless to say, one encounter with Red will put him off for the whole morning. Overall, however, Oscar is a very sweet cat, but likes to make Oscar groom him thoroughly. Oscar is protective of those he loves. Although not a big guard dog, he has the courage to defend his owner to the last, and will do nothing less than that. He is, however, quite a cheeky cat. He likes to hide in the closet to have Moon look for him all morning, only to turn up at lunch. He likes to eat slippers, and will steal whatever unfortunate pair Moon happens to leave lying around. He will also hide his toys, forgetting about them, and then wrecking the house to find them again.
History: Having come from a very reputable couple, his original masters gave him away to Moon, and he has had no way to communicate with other cats wel, and no way to learn except from his adored master. She teaches him what she can about accepting others, and not being a grouch over his toys and food and home, but she can only teach him so much. Because of this, Oscar is reserved in his tidings, and keeps his distance with other cats. [See family]
Likes: Oscar is a cat very partial to fish - the right fish. Canned tuna and smoked salmon are his favorite, and most of the time, he will eat nothing else. His cat food flavors are very specific also, and he will eat nothing but lamb flavored kibbles, mixed with some soggy rice. He demands to drink one platter of very expensive milk everyday. He will eat nowhere but the space right beside the door in the kitchen, where he can still keep an eye on his home and 'defend' it. Apart from food, Oscar likes to sleep on the guest bed in the morning, when the sun is shining in through the windows so he can feel the warmth of the rays on his fur. He also enjoys playing outside in the garden, where he can romp through all the daisies and maul all the roses. As well, he enjoys digging. He digs up carrots, and onions, and potatoes that Moon grows for fun, and he jumps onto the window ledge to paw through the potted plants. He also likes to chase rats, but he will have nothing of the sort to do with mice. Mice, he almost deliberately drops crumbs onto the floor for, and he will guard them if Moon tries so much as to trap them. He also enjoys looking at passing dogs. He will sit in wait in the garden, and if a dog walks past he will sit and watch with big beady eyes until they pass, regardless of whether or not they are barking at him.
Dislikes: Despite his grouchy demeanor, Oscar does not dislike many things. He main thing on his list is Redford, although Moon is sure that there is a friendship somewhere between them, deep down, and that Oscar really does like Red. He also dislikes the park, prefering to mess up Moon's garden. He also dislikes the nighttime. Oscar is quite an adventurous and perky cat, and he loves a good adventure, exploring all manner of nooks and crannies for no apparent reason. He cannot see well in the dark, and it limits his explorings a great deal. He does not like the company of too many cats, and he will keep his distance thoughtfully.
Family: Oscar's father, Carome [kah-roe-may], is a sleek creme tabby, not very unlike how Oscar looks as a newborn. His coat is short and well-groomed. He is slightly high-strung, but is caring and sweet, despite a gruff and somewhat haughty demeanor around kittens. He is the prize of his litter, and the jewel of his master's eye. He lives in a mighty manor, rich and filled with priceless antiques. His master, in an attempt to continue Carome's high-bred line, sought out an old friend of his, who also happened to have a finely bred cat. Oscar's mother, Sashe [Sa-shay], is a petite champagne tabby, darker than both Oscar and Carome, but not so that her pelt is brown. Her coat, too, is short and glistens in the sunlight. Her angled features are quite attractive, and although having been the runt, she is a wonderful cat. She is sweet, caring, and intensely adoring and affectionate. Very loyal and responsive, she has a fine bond with her master. However, instead of having a normal litter of adorable kittens, the pair had a fine litter consisting of five beautiful eggs. All of them were winged, and one of them smaller than the rest. That one had, instead of fairy wings, tiny angellic wings. The masters, being very high-strung, particular about their pets, and superstitious, had made sure that the egg did not stay within their knowledge. They gave the egg away to a girl who happened to be passing by on the street - Moon. They were, at first, unnerved also by the rest of the eggs, but they grew to accept the finely bred cats that emerged from them. Oscar knows nothing abouthis four fine fairy siblings.

Moon taps at your door, opening it a crack as she hands you a bundle of warm clothes. You shoot her a curious look that she catches, and sighs happily.
"It's Oscar. He's got... friends..." She said shortly, as if she didn't want to deal with the topic. You smartly let it go, and thank her for the clothes and the cup of hot chocolate she brought before she leaves

Riff: Oscar knows Riff, but not too well. They go a long way back, but he is not sure when they first met.
Redford: Red has been bugging Oscar for as long as he can remember, and he has learned to growl and grumble whenever the kitten comes too close. He does, however, force Red to clean him.
Ragtag: Ragtag, the zombie stray that wandered up to Oscar's home one day. Bugged by the way the stray is treated, Oscar does not seem to enjoy the company of Ragtag much.

You are bored waiting for dinner, and wander over to the wall. There is a scroll with dates and font-like writing neatly printed on the paper. An updates log titled "The Life and Times of Oscar". You start to wonder just how much Moon cares for her kitten.

Oct. 3rd, 2005 - I received Oscar!
Oct. 21st, 2005- Oscar hatched!
Oct. 23rd, 2005 - Moon has done all this on the weekend! w00t!
Oct. 27th, 2005 - Moon has decided:
Oscar in the general RP, with all of Leefy's cosplay chars (such as Red, Jasmine, Riff), will be the ageless cat grouchie. Oscar in a private RP will be whatever stage he's at, and with a developing character. Such as right now, he'd be an infant kitty.
Dec. 14th, 2005 - First, Moon will be leaving on the 23rd, and wono't be back til January 5th. And also: HOMG I WROTE A STORY ON THE SPOT! eek

Hatched? You wonder, but you shrug and amble off to another side of the wall to observe.

"I don't want everyone bursting into my cottage, just because they glimpse a kitten with wings and a halo through my window," Moon explains patiently as she sits on the edge of the guest bed, sipping at a steaming bowl of soup. "So I put up some rules about that too."

"Many of my guests like to know about me. I mean, they think I'm a little young to be living all on my own, not going to school, and having a winged kitty." She said. "But it's not really like that. See..."

Full Name: Moonaira Sharmoon MactRazor
Age: 16
Origin/Birthplace: Undisclosed
Gender: Female
Personality: Very out-going and always cheerful, Moon will welcome any guest that needs her help, but will keep out any guest that comes just for the sake of looking at Oscar. She is very loyal and dependable, and will put the sake of her friends (mostly her pets) before her own. Oscar is her best friend, and she would do anything for him.
History: No one but her immediate family knows where Moon is really from. Her mother, Sharron Ansib, and her father, Alton MactRazor, were two wealthy noblepersons. They had a good life, until Moon's triplet brothers and sisters came along. The three were rowdy and would wreck the house everyday, until it drove both her parents insane. They were removed to an insane asylum, and her siblings put into a foster care home. Moon escaped, imagining the worst at a place with hundreds of orphaned children, and came upon this cottage. She bought it immediately, and has lived here ever since, tending to injured animals and all who come needing her help.
Likes: Moon likes a great deal of things. First on her list being, of course, Oscar. She loves her fluffy cat, and his fluttery wings and lopsided halo - the halo that many people mistaken for a sign of angellic-ness in her cat. Oscar is, in fact, a trouble-maker, and if he had horns instead of a halo, she is sure he would be even worse. She also loves all sorts of animals, and her house is often full of sick and recuperating creatures in the springtime. She tends to them as if they were her own brothers and sisters, and will stop and nothing to help them get better. She is also a wonderful artist, and loves to draw and paint landscapes in her room.
Dislikes: Moon does not dislike many things. First and foremost being guests who come to her house just to catch a glimpse at her angel-cat. She does not like it when people fawn over Oscar so he cannot rest and so they annoy her to no end. The next thing would be insects. Moon loathes insects, and they scare her as much as a giant hornet would scare an average person. She is even scared to kill an ant.
Family: Moon's immediate family consists of her mother, her father, two older brothers, and her triplet brothers and sisters (two boys, one girl). Her eldest brother is called Milton, while her second eldest brother is called Zachary. The triplet boys are called Edward and Sean, while the triplet girl is called Loka. Away from the immediate family, no one knows how far the entire Family branches. It seems that triplets run in Moon's family.
Pets: Whenever anyone mentions her pets, Oscar first springs to Moon's mind. But she does have pets other than the Tabby. Outside, in the barn, she has two horses, both stallions - Rhovan (dark bay with orange pinpricks of fur exploding and dotting the coat) and Touchie (very bright bay with a perfect white blaze). She has a huge Tibetan Mastiff called Josh, one of the last true pedigrees of the world. He is all black, save for his four tan paws. A huge mane rings his broad head. He is lovable and loyal, brave and well-trained (he never drools!). Apart from that, she has part-time pets that seem to show up every so often, and 'foster' pets (hurt creatures) that she takes care of until they have healed and are ready to return to the wild. In having so many animals around, she has taught Oscar to readily accept other animals, but he still keeps his distance by nature.

As Moon talks, you get a little bored, and turn to the desk next to the bed. There is a photo album there, and you pick it up just as she finishes talking. Moon takes a sip of her soup, and then shoots you a huge beam.
"That contains all the pictures of my pets!" She exclaims. You take the book and flip it open.

"There is nothing wrong with a little heart on a christmas tree!" Moon argued into the black portable phone clamped against her shoulder by her cheek as she put on a few finishing touches to her christmas tree. She was, in fact, in a heated argument with her second eldest brother, Zachary, about her christmas decorations. "Besides, I live all the way out here. If I don't do it, who else will?" She retorted, listening as her brother chuckled on the other end of the phone. He seemed to bite back a witty retort, and gave in with a mocking sigh. "Hey, when are you coming over, anyway? I couldn't stand to have christmas without my favorite brother!" She exclaimed. "Hey, I gotta go, Oscar's fish is cooking!"

She replaced the phone with a click, and padded into the kitchen. The smell of raw fish filled the room.
"Ozzy!" She called out to her angelic tabby kitten. "Ozzy!" She heard a mewl, but no claws came clicking agitatedly from the guest room. Moon ripped off her apron as she dished the fish onto Oscar's food bowl. "Oscar!" She yelled. The cat finally appeared, stretching and yawning fakely as he padded out. "Come eat your fish, baby, you're hungry!" Then she left him to it.

As she pulled out a stool and grabbed a magazine off the counter, flipping through to the center, a small golden pup toddled in. She had black paws, a black muzzle and black ear tips. She sat by the door, half yowling and half howling piteously. Moon stared down at her.
"What's gotten into you?" She accused, her gaze curious. "I know I let you live here full time, but Oscar's the boss, and you know it, Amber." The pup whined and stumbled over to the stool. Moon reached down, grasping Amber around her middle and lifting the fluffy pup into her lap. "But you can read my magzine with me, how's that?" She cooed, fuzzing the top of Amber's head. Instead, Amber hopped onto the counter, and lay down, promptly chewing on Moon's sleeve. She looked down, smiling. "Or that too." She sighed.

He was, to say the least the 'Local' stray. Every house knew him, every dog feard him, every cat listend when he spoke. Everyone knew his nam,e and to be on his good side was to be well spoken to, but fear ye whom upset the strange male, things happend to them, strange things.

He was very experienced in the matter of breakfast and he knew full well where he could get the best meals. There were soft touches these days, soft touches whom didn't see him for what he was. This house was a soft touch house. They had goodfood and no cats, at least they didn't have a cat the last timehe was there. His nose twitched and he hissed quietly, there was a cat here. Damnit, weell, who cared he would get his meal from here. When Ragtag visited, he got his meal. Sauntering up to the back door he scratched with his claws upon the door, giving a long low meow of protest that he wasn't able to get in. This always worked. He would spend a few days, being fed, geting plush, sitting infront of a ncie warm fire and relaxing, then he'd wander off again to the next house, for a change of pace maybe search out a female if it took his fancy. His odd coloured tail flickerd and he meowed again. Oh they better let him in, he was hungry and it was going to be a cold night. Despite his age and his time calling himself a stray, Ragtag hated the cold and with christmas nearing it was a time of plenty of food and presents with jumpers and socks in to sleep on while the days whiled themselves away in to the spring.

Oscar backed against the wall, and slipped into the kitchen, the fur on his back puffed, and his lips drawn back to emit hisses. His ears laid flat against his head, and his wings drooped slightly. His eyes turned, imploring Moon to get the door, to check that there was nothing there.

But Moon had heard the scratch too.
"That's weird," She said to both Amber and the kitten as she placed Oscar on the counter beside the puppy. "I'll get it, you guys." She hopped off her stool and went across to the door. She pulled the door open, and blinked in surprise. The cat in front of her.... She had seen before, and had been shocked to the core by its strange looks... "Ragtag!" She breathed finally, almost in relief. She didn't much mind Ragtag - he'd come here before, and she knew he wasn't really up to much harm. But what did Oscar think?

The kitten yowled in protest as he spotted the tattered looking cat at the door to his house. His house, not that cat's! He hissed with his fur standing up, stuck up on the countertop.
PostPosted: Mon Nov 14, 2005 2:16 am

Ragtag looked at the kitten for only a moment a smirk lighting his features "calm yourself kitty I'm just here for a meal" he malkes a puur winding around the womans legs and being 'affectionate' Ragtag could be affectionate if he wanted to, usually he was affectionate to get a meal. Today was no exception. The scent of freshly cooked fish filled his sences and he puurred quietly, his eyes occasionally opening to look at Oscar daring him to challange his right to be here. He looks up at Moon his deep red eyes not the least bit frightening, it was strange that humans never really saw what they were looking at. He was just some oddly coloured stray. "Muuuroww" he says loudly rubbubng against the womans legs again, he wanted some of that fish and a place by the fire at least for tonight.

"No duh." Oscar hissed, swiping his claws through the air. He wished he knew how to use his wings. Then he could propel himself from the daft countertop and scare Ragtag away! He whimpered as he caught the scent of his fish. "Stay away from my fish!"

"I'd call you a good boy, but I know you don't really like that kind of attention!" Moon laughed, and brought Oscar's fish over to the stray. "Ozzy hasn't even touched his fish. Serves him right, doesn't it?" She shot Oscar a teasing glance. "I'll go heat up some milk." She said cheerily, striding into the kitchen. She spotted Oscar's grimacing look.
"Don't get mad at me for you not eating, Ozzy! Besides, I'll cook you another one. Don't worry."
