French oral next week. Wtf this is crap I barely even know what I'm s'posed to do. Class of 6 people, and I'm the worst in the class, I shoulda dropped and taken a ******** math course! I don't want to study when the chances of me failing are so high.

The one french oral part, where we speak 3 to 4 minutes, I will memorize. I only have about one and a half minutes, but I'll add pauses I guess...then the paper says there is two other parts, with student-teacher interaction. Not looking forward to that. I can't understand french so this is bullshit. Why'd I take the class? Wtf I've wasted my time and I'm wasting it even more now by studying for the oral. Wtf s**t is crap ******** this.

Mon cher ami, N'ayez pas peur d'un petit essai oral. Vous savez que plus que vous pensez. Détendez et appréciez le plus romantique de toutes les langues.

(My dear friend,

Do not be afraid of a little oral test. You know more than you think. Relax and enjoy the most romantic of all languages.)

O_o
I got from that;

My dear friend.
Something about a bad oral essay. You know more than you think. Detest and appreciate the romantic-ness of the langage.

Without looking at the translation. xD
But that was just using my english & spanish skills.

Moi? Je parle français vraiment mauvais. Je peux écrire mieux que je peux parler.

D'ailleurs, je ne vais pas vous aider à tricher à un test.

Me? I speak french really bad. I can write better than I speak.

Moreover, I will not help you cheat on a test.

.... Also, when you put the definite article of "le" into the thread title that changed the whole sentence to "I hate the French."

Never-mind that missing accent aigu on the first "e" of déteste, and the missing cédille on the "c" in français...

An incorrect or missing accent is a spelling mistake just as an incorrect or missing letter would be.
Proper spelling and grammar is just as important as learning to speak it correctly. If not more so, think about it, how can anyone be expected to read something correctly when it's full of grammar and spelling mistakes.

That aside, just speaking French comes easier to some people than reading and writing. Just as others still find reading and writing it easier than speaking it.

Try listening to conversations in French or group with your classmates and force each other to only speak in French for 5-10 minutes, and then go over any mistakes that you catch yourself or others in the group making.

You may surprise yourself in how much you really know.

You know, you could just not fail. To achieve this, you will need to study hard. It is as easy as that.

Meh, knew that about the accents, but I don't like going to translators to be able to type them in. I didn't think that about the le though, but now that you say it it seems kinda obvious...

The only thing I'm good at in speaking is being able to say the words in a french-ish way, which, even though my other classmates work harder than me...I'm better than a few of them at that. o.o Only that...but that's to win me a few points on the oral at least. ^.^
