I watched it when they first started airing it on channel 13 in California. It was like around 1997-98 I don't remember exactly.
It was awesome watching it grow and unravel. I thought they did a much better job on the character play and story stuff in the early episodes.
Watching the new stuff, I feel they aren't trying as hard as the first stuff they had.

When I was extremely young.
I think it was my first anime. if not, then it was Sailor moon...
But it was good all the same. My mom rented the video for me ^^

Around when I was 3-5, so around 1995-1997, I remember listening to it in Chinese (my parents rented the video for me and my siblings)

when i was around Five i'd say.
but we didn't have cable so whenever we went to the store i'd always have to go check if there was a new VHS pokemon video.
lol i have so many now, it's not even funny i think i have every indigo league VHS volume ever. cept for 2 i think. i had to give away the johto vids, too little space in my room for those eek .

Holly karp. I was 14 and I didn't start till after indigo was half over! GAH!!! But then I got addicted. smile
hahaha and at 23 now I still love it.

I was 7 years old I believe.. if not earlier xd I was a pokemon finatic.. and have a bunch of pokemon cards too from when I used to get em~
