[[This is a rp meant to gather together the existing phyrie and phyreflies so that they may have the chance to all meet (finally), it is an open rp so all may join (by all I mean other species as well) just remember it's purpose!]]

The Burrow Inhabitants

In this corner of the grottoan countryside, time is not measured by days or weeks but by the number of Deku nuts thrown from the forests shade. One risked a violent assault from the numerous weedlings if they dared to walk too close. Not twenty paces from the gradually multiplying piles of nuts grew an opening in a wall of stone; inside an orchard of striking flora. Blue bells hung from the apex of the cave opening, wild flowers and green grasses overflowing onto the stone floors. Within were mixtures of orchids, irises, and calla lilies, wonderfully tended and blooming into bursts of color.

Amongst the interior gardens lay small yet elaborate towers of stone; in one corner a top heavy rock balanced on top of another in a way that seemed to defy gravity, in another, an involved tier of smooth river stones. On shelves made of long dead timber stood sculpture made of glass, colorful and delicately derived; the surprise result of melted sand cooled in a barrel of cool water. This hidden quarter of the natural world evoked a sense of harmony, an impression the current inhabitants care greatly about.

After a decade amongst those of the greater realm the twin phyreflies, Cies and Col, grew weary of the hostility shared amongst the majority. Col, tending to be a rather subdued character, took his sister away on a search for a residence they might finally feel more comfortable in. Cies missed interaction with the exterior world yet could never place that need above her love of tranquility.

In this place, affectionately named the Burrow, Col attempts to balance yet another pile of stones; an intent Naun content just to look on. He misplaces a stone and the whole pile goes down with it.

Cies bustles about with clusters of flowers; work slowed by the curious dodongo winding beneath her feet. She tripped, almost losing grip on her bouquet, yet somehow managed to keep her poise. Believing to have heard a noise unlike the standard clatter of Deku nuts, she turns to look, not sure of what she would find.

[[Since its ORP, I assume there is now order in who posts?]]

Joachim had rarely left the sanctuary of the graveyard. It was quite, and had few visitors. But...Looking around him at the lush, and seemingly devoid of human, garden, Joachim felt a sense of peace. To find such a well tended place, with no humans....oh...bliss! No one to try and run him off, to try and fight him...
Jumping along some of the rocks, the large phyri was perfectly balanced on the uneven stones. It was such a lovely place...

Looking down, at the tended garden, he noticed a small child of his race, with a dodongo of odd coloration. Slipping back into the shadows, he watched her pick her flowers....and trip. Looking down, he noticed he had let a rock fall down to the earth. He looked back at the child, making sure he was not going to be seen. Yet...
The small movement he had made sent another rock falling to the ground once more.

Samorn was always the adventuresome sort. She often wandered off on her own. But the never too far behind Dashiell always seemed to wisk away her drive to be independent. Not that she minded, she was wildly in love with the red Phyri.

Today was different. Samorn had managed to lose her soulmate and now she was on her own. Being so, the clumsy phyri became very curious of her surroundings. She needed to explore everything!

Samorn heard the sound of clacking stone and the rustling of tiny feet through tall grass in the distance. Her curiousity was perked. She needed to investigate. Maybe there were some darling fairies, or some wolfiebones, or maybe even her own species, Phyri are quite pretty and elogant and come in amazing different appearances. Oh, she would certainly enjoy to meet some new Phyri.

Samorn manuevered herself closer to the grotto. She peered over the top of a bush... just barely, she needed to stand on the tippy-tips of her feet. She could hardly make out the scene, but if her eyes were not playing tricks on her, she was watching the cutest two little phyreflies play with a Dodongo and Helmaroc.

Uh oh... her footing faulted and Samorn found herself heels over head through the bush and into the grass, just feet from the female phyrefly. She looked up sheepishly, her bright blue eyes brimming with embarrassed tears, or tears of laughter, as she was laughing nervously over the whole awkward soumersault into the clearing.

A series of rocks clattered in the distance moments before a tumble of purple emerged from the brush, catching the Burrow inhabitants wholly off guard.

“Oh!” Cies practically fell over herself in fright; the appearance of new phyrie left the poor phyrefly shell-shocked! This time her armful of irises scattered about the floor in a desperate mess but the pale-coated phyrefly thought twice about tidying up with an outsider about.

“Cies?” Col peered up from his muddle of river stones, serene yet inquisitive. He was used to Cies’s ungainliness, she was always dropping something! He raised himself off his knees to inspect the situation and soon found himself face to face with a pair of brilliantly blue eyes. He tilted his head to the side, a frown of confusion consuming his features. “Hello… Who may you be?”

Dashiellwas near frantic..well not quite yet so panicked that he would explode, but still near frantic. When he realized that his day dreaming, his slight wandering had led him off course and..in that way allowed him to loose track of her! He'd never felt so horrible before, loosing his dear samorn, how foolish was he! He had sat bewildered for quite some time, trying to figure out if he should go looking for her, he knew shed come back, and through their link, their love they always managed to find each other..and well of course she was entitled to some alone time to explore on her own!

Or whether he should go searching, he always felt a bit of a needy tug when she was away from him, and the further she went the stronger that tug became. Biting his nails, tail swishing as his ears sat nestled against his skull, eventually deciding that it would be best to simply go looking for her. At any rate it would lead to a bit of exploring of his own, he hadnt exactly seen much of this glade, and all this territory out side of death mountain and the deserts was completely new to him, so fresh and green and..well exciting. Taking a deep breath as he trotted off, admiring the leaves and the brush, the sound of a flowing river not too far off.."Samorn..now..where could you have gone" he mused quietly to himself, suddenly noticing a streak of color through a clump of dense grass, something moving behind there deep in the bushes. Maybe it was her, had he seen blue? Purple? Close enough to her right!

"Samorn!" he said excitedly, easily skipping over the rocks, as he got closer he could see more of the creature. Reaching out when he got close enough to tug on the dark blue and purple phyris tail lightly, realizing at the last moment that it was not in deed his samorn, but some other creature..Oh dear...No not his beautiful samorn at all but some strange other male phyri..But hed sworn he'd felt his samorns presence near by! Apparently hed made a bit of a ehm, mix up in direction..

Joachim hadn't expected someone to touch him...let along tug on his tail. Slowly, he turned his head around...and saw another male of his race. Well....this was...odd.
Flicking his tail from the phyri's grasp, Joachim trotted around to face him. He tried to keep a calm face, but, it looked like he was annoyed. Well, better to seem annoyed then livid...which is how he felt.
Trotting a few paces closer to the red male, Joachim glare and armor made him seem very threatening.
"I am sorry BOY." He hiss, fangs poking out from his lips. "I am NOT your Samorn." He said the name with a think accent, almost a Spanish one. "And also..." He moved past the other male.
"I do not like other men." Jumping down from the stone wall, he landing not to far from the small group of younger phyris. Brushing off his rump and tail, he simply trotted to the sides and looked at the flowers. It was mainly what he was hear for anyway.

((He's a bit anti-social and a jerk, just FYI))

Samorn continued to look nervous towards the two phyrefly. She uprighted herself and smoothed the twigs, leaves, and grass from her long mauve hair.

"S... Samorn." She whispered. "That's who I am..." Suddenly the ever so outgoing Phyri was struck shy, but it didn't last. She smiled warmly and waved her hand enthusiastically. "I am Samorn!" She said more comfidently.

Near as soon as she introduced herself, a dark blue male jumped into the grotto. He trotted towards the flower field in a huff. Wasn't he just the epitome of grumpy? Samorn waltzed over to him, might as well introduce herself to Joachim also.

She picked a pretty lavender flower from the ground, just a plain purple daisy, and held it out towards the new comer.

"Would you like this?" She smiled. "Im... " And before she could finish her greeting she caught a strange pang in her heart, her soulmate Dashiell was nearby.

"Uh oh..."

Cies watched the scene in a state of awe; it had been ages since she had seen so many new faces! The pale-coated phyrefly had never considered herself one of the timid sort yet years of seclusion had eroded much of her social etiquette. The female phyrie, of a color striking different from her own, introduced herself softly and then again more cordially. Cies tucked her chin to her chest and bent to clear the walkway of the fresh blooms, reassured momentarily by a tender nuzzle from Quaes.

Col, stood solidly in place; he had loosened slightly after Samorn gave her name, yet a name was not enough. Wary of the intentions of those who came from beyond the hill he remained in the doorway, peering after the lilac colored female as she familiarized herself with the azure newcomer. Cheering a bit as he watched Cies stumble in her attempt to straighten up their home for strangers, he fell in beside her to ease the burden.

Quaes was not one to wait for attention, as it seemed clear that the twins were. Dragging his kettle about he ventured away from the Burrow entrance towards a phyrie of striking coloration, burgundy coat and flaxen mane. With a wily look in his eye he offered the contents of the vessel.

Twitching, Joachim expected some form of harshness at his intrusion, but rather...he felt at ease when he saw the gentle females face.
"Samorn wasn't it? I could not help but overhear from before." He took the flower from he had an smelt it quite slowly, enjoying the lingering aroma.
"A pretty flower from a beautiful Phyri. No man may ask for more. I am called Joachim mi'lady." Bowing her was smiling. No harm in a light flirt.
"And is something wrong?" The sudden tone in her voice seemed to indicate that she was no longer going to be near him...ah well...such was his luck.

Dashiell couldn't help but twitch in surprise at the males hardly friendly tone.."Well then.." blinking, glaring as he watched the flippish male phyri turn his back and trot away! As if he were into boys! He had specifically been searching for his mate, his 'female' mate. Honestly he would have apologizesd, or at least have had the urge to had the other male not been so rude. Glowering even more fiercely as he swore he heard his samorns voice below..talking to that..that jerk of a phyri!

On any other occasion he would have taken a more cocky attitude and stormed after him, the sudden presence of something to his right stopped his following however. His heart nearly leaping into his throat as he turned to see a large floating kettle next to him, a great red fox like beast holding the thing as it looked him over. To say he was stunned silent would be an understatement, only able to utter out a mild squeak and take a few clumsy steps away from the creature, attempting to try and compose himself once more after slowly realizing the creature meant no harm. Even if it was..ah..large and fluffy..."Eeh, ahm..are you offering that to me?" tea, in a tea kettle. He could have smacked himself for having been surprised "Goodness this is too odd, first that irksome creature and now you. Though you seem a bit nicer" dashiell sighed at length giving the newt a true smile.

The newt offered the kettle again to the newcomer, trying to make his intentions clear. Upon realizing that he held the kettle and no cup the downy dodongo blinked and retreated towards the cave, his shape obscured by the volume of flowers within, and reappeared with an armful of delicately crafted glass cups. A glass sprang loose from his grip and, luckily, bounced about the grass unharmed.

With her bundle of irises safe within her arms once again, Cies approached the two conversing phyrie with caution. The lilac female seemed gracious enough, smile untouched while the azure male inhaled the flowers scent and flirted with her shamelessly. Cies’s dusky hooves touched the ground timorously, almost afraid to disturb her visitors with her presence. Yet, when she reached the two she temporarily trounced this notion and introduced herself. “How do you do, my name is Cies. My brother Col and I have made this place our home for several years… Um, that’s him over there working on another stone tower. He’s a little quiet but he’s very sweet I promise you.” Cies gave a slight curtsy and gave an embarrassed nod. “We have not had company for several years, nor are we prepared for such.”

"O-oh, I see!" dashiell watched as the dodongo whisked off as if hed forgotten something, watching him curiously vanish into the flower covered den. It was hard to believe that this one place could be so covered in so many different kinds of blossoms. Waiting patiently, his slight smile widening as he watched the creature return, finally understanding his meaning..

"This is beautiful glass ware! Are you sure you don't mind sharing?" the phyri chuckled scooping up the fallen glass in his hands and brushing it clean of the bits of grass. "Very intricate to.." feet shuffling beneath him slightly as he held out his little cup for tea. "I suppose, I would love some tea, since your offering" really he wasnt a tea type, but it was only hospitable. That and it took his mind off that other phyri, distracting him a bit from his worry over samorn..

Samorn smiled at Joachim, he liked her flower!
"I am Samorn. Glad I could find you the flower." She smiled softly. She looked back and forth a few times in search of Dashiell. But she didn't see him... not that she was looking too hard. One could challenge her on which was more important at the moment, making new friends or Dashiell, and for her, she was all too enthralled in meeting Cies and Joachim. You just couldn't have to many friends.

Cies came over and introduced herself next. Samorn watched her intently. She was adorable and also liked flowers! This little phyriefly was just as friendly as herself. And she had a brother! It was almost like Cies and Col were smaller replicas of her and Dashiell, minus the romantic intent, but being twins and soulmates were not too different, at least not in Samorn's brilliant blue eyes.

"I have a friend too." The purple Phyri said matter of factly. "His name is Dashiell. We are soulmates!" She giggled sweetly, craning her head again to search for her crimson companion. She saw a rusty Dodongo far over in the clearing.
"And he is?" Samorn signaled towards the newt.

Ah such was his luck. To meet a pretty phyri only to find she has another. Shrugging, he sniffed the flower once more. It did not smell as sweet as it once did. Looking down, he smiled at the younger phyri....well....more just a child to him. "Forgive my intrusion then Miss Cies. I was unaware that this was your home. I did not mean to impose. I merely thought this to be a garden. A beautiful one at that." It was true, compared to his home in the graveyard, this was a paradise. He gave a small bow. "If I mat be of any assistance, do let me know." Loooking back at Samorn, he gave her a small nod. "How do you know this...Dashiell is your soul mate? Forgive me but, I have not really understood such things."

Cies bowed her head to the phyri before her with a gentle smile, dipping gracefully into another curtsy.

“He?” She peered in the direction Samorn was pointing, Quaes’s eager form present yet another phyrie with a kettle full of who-knows-what. “Ah he, yes that is Quaes, our companion kettle newt! He’s an affectionate one, he is.”

Cies returned her attention to her visitors and tilted her head slightly to the side.

“May I as where you two have come from? We’ve seen the deku nut piles rise and fall many times during our stay here and never a guest!”

The appearance of new people put quite a strain on the more antisocial phyrefly, with a polite nod he retreated back within the confines of the cave.

Quaes stood by eagerly, practically pushing his kettles contents onto the newcomer. He started to pour before the phyri was ready, spilling the liquid all over before actually landing any inside the cup.

”Quaes. Leave him alone.” The disembodied voice carried Col’s authoritative tone.
