Okay, here's a question I'm sure every Lolita has to ask at LEAST once in their life:

Where can I find well made and good quality petticoats and bloomers?

These are the staple items of lolita, I believe. It was because of the removal of these items that the Victorian style began to slowly fade and it is the addition of it that makes our skirts and dresses extra special.

And when I'm asking where to find good ones, I want to know all the ones you can think of! Don't leave a single detail out, because other people are looking at this thread too for suggestions, I'm sure!

If you know where to find the best princess and a-line petti, awesome!
The best poofy/bell-shaped?
The best caged?

THE SOFTEST BLOOMERS IN THE WORLD?!...okay, getting a little crazy here. But I want to know all your suggestions for petticoats and bloomers of every type!

Thank you, mon cher!

In the Starlight - Great Petticoats [both a-line and fluffy], cheap bloomers
Bodyline - Super cute, decorative bloomers

A petticoat is a staple, bloomers are optional. They're more for modesty than any actual decorative purpose, and you can just as easily wear a pair of bike shorts underneath for the sake of keeping your undies safe from unwanted viewers.

You can also check the FAQ and Link list for other sites that have items. Most of the major Japanese brands produce bloomers and petticoats, but they are considerably more costly. Metamorphose bloomers are very popular, and their organdy petticoats hold up very well. Their more elaborate bloomers [such as the pairs with attached pettiskirts] are expensive, but a good place to start looking for ideas.

I had a feeling that In the Starlight's petti's would be a great place to start. I'm a bit surprised by your recommendation of Bodyline, though. But I'll look there too.

Thank you!

Bodyline's petticoats are atrocious, but their bloomers [and many of their new skirts, JSKs, coats and blouses] are great. I own three pairs from them as well as a pair from Angelic Pretty and several handmade pairs. I have to say that the ones from Bodyline are my favorites because they're a bit thicker [which means they aren't see-through], have nice, cotton lace, and didn't cost me so much that I'd be worried about getting them sweaty or washing them repeatedly.

In the Starlight is very well known for their poof petticoats. (:
Back before they revamped and started making new designs, that was actually the reason most people bought from them. Their petticoats are comfortable, durable, and give very good poof.

I also use an ITS petti, I love them, they are comfortable, and very well made.

ITS was always said to be reliable. There's really nothing to worry about.
(Yes, I have a petti from them too.)

Yeah, we do sometimes know what we're talking about. ;D

If you have any other questions about ITS, check out the FAQ at the top of the guild forum. There's a small section about In the Starlight's products. If you have further questions about any of them, go right ahead and ask on that thread, and we'll get you an answer and post in the FAQ for others to use later.
