The G.F.R.S.: The Galactic Federation Ranking System
The G.F.R.S. is the order in which promotions occur amongst our fighting men and women as well as those not in a combat assignment. Starting from Recruit, you eventually go up the ranks and who knows? You may become a general or a fleet admiral some day!
Money:
The Federation uses Galactic Credits ( Or credits for short). They are the universal currency of all planets in Federation Space. You get paid weekly, and get bonuses upon promotion as well as paycheck increases.
Rank One:
Recruits: Also called rookies, greenhorns, and newbies, these people are at the bottom rung of military order. Rough around the edges, the spend a good time in basic training before given their first assignment. They get paid around 100 credits every week. You are given the viral immunity vaccine at this rank.
Trainee: You are given your first non-combat assignment. There is no paycheck increase here, though you will begin to learn some advances combat techniques as well as get a bonus of 50 credits
Rank Two:
Private Third Class: Rookies that have been given their first combat assignment, they are capable of doing good damage through luck, but lack much experience. Upon promotion to PTC, you get a bonus of 50 credits and a paycheck increase to 150 credits
Private Second Class: Rookies who have gone on a few missions. They have learned through experience and can be effective with some co-ordination. Upon promotion to PSC, you get a 100 bonus and your paycheck increases to 200
Private First Class: Elite Rookies who have gone on several basic missions and have a grasp of things. At this rank they get their first non simulated combat assignment. You are also given the chance to learn to use the missile launcher at this rank. Upon promotion they get a 100 bonus and your paycheck increases to 250 credits.
Rank Three:
Rank threes are authorized to use the new S.O.A.R. prototype weapon as well as use the S.A.F.E.
Sergeant Third Class: After several live combat missions, you get promoted to STC, in which you now have some authority over lower recruits. You will accompany them on their minor missions as a squad leader as well get combat roles and guard duty. Upon promotion to this, you get a 150 credit bonus and your paycheck increases to 300 credits. You learn to drive combat vehicles at this rank.
Sergeant Second Class: You are giving escort missions to foreign planets as well as the other duties above. With this promotion you also will sometimes be assigned office duty, which often times involves the dreaded enemy that is: Paperwork. At this promotion you receive a 150 credit bonus and your paycheck increases to 350 credits.
Sergeant First Class: You are given authority to lead squads of Privates and trainees on their missions, and are given the option to learn to fly the basic fighter or cargo spacecraft. When Phazon was still around, you'd be allowed to test the PED units. Upon promotion you receive a 200 credit bonus and your paycheck increases to 400 credits.
Gunnery Sergeant: You are given the authority to use the "G.A.L.E." "Hand cannon' and the "S.O.A.R." but you must pass the required tests to use them. You are also then be given training in operating the weaponry on larger ships, as well as less chances of getting office duty, unless injured. You receive a bonus of 200 credits, and your paycheck increases to 450 credits.
Rank Four:
Commandant: For a more passive role in active duty, Your given command over a group of sergeants, are capable of running prison camps, and sometimes capable of running bases on your own. No paycheck increase but you get a nice bonus of 300 credits. This rank can be taken instead of Captain
Captain: For a more active combat role, your brought into a special combat team and sometimes are to guard the demolition troopers when they need to break through something. No paycheck increase, but a nice bonus of 300. This can be taken instead of Commandant.
Rank Five:
Commander: Often oversee the training of new recruits and trainees, often times your the guy they contact should they need some assistance in a mission, and are allowed to pilot larger, non combat ships, such as a patrol/carrier spacecraft, such as the spacecraft used in task forces. You get a decent bonus of 300 credits, but your paycheck only rises to 475 credits.
Rank Six:
Your given the ability to learn to use missile/grenade combos.
Colonel: Your given your First mission involving flying a fighter or cargo spacecraft, assuming you decided to learn to fly. If you did not learn to fly, you take your first mission involving Special Operations, which are more specific and risky than a normal combat mission. Upon promotion you recieve a bonus of 250 credits and your paycheck increases to 500 credits. At this rank your also allowed to learn how to fly a bomber spacecraft. Your also given a more extensive training sequence for commanding troops.
Rank Seven:
Special Ops: A rank bestowed upon someone who decides to specialize in special ground operations. Your authorized to use the 'Big Daddy' as well as any other new experimental weaponry that comes out. You are often given special missions in enemy territory, are often on the site of negotiations, and are sometimes sent on assassination missions should the need arise. Upon promotion you get a nice 350 credit bonus and your paycheck increases to 600 credits. ( same as Lieutenant, but this is if you prefer special missions on the ground. they have the same authority level). You learn to use high tier ( 5 or 6) vehicles and Mechs.
Flag Captain: If you choose to Fly on special Missions, you are bestowed this rank. Your allowed to be a squad leader on bombing raids, and are an expert in dogfights, often escorting cargo spacecraft. Your allowed to learn to use and use high tier ( 5 or 6 ) spacecraft. you also know how to pilot foreign aircraft should the need arise. Upon promotion you gain a nice bonus of 400 as well as a paycheck increase to 600. ( Same as Special Ops, but this is if your a spacecraft specialist)
Rank Eight:
Covert Ops: If you prefer special ops missions, you will be promoted to this instead of first lieutenant. You are given training for covert operations, and are given a test mission before you begin going on real missions. You get a generous bonus of 600 credits, and your paycheck increases to an amazing 750 credits. Your also authorized to be one of the few to test the new B.F.G...what is it you ask? We cannot say in a public article.
Vice Admiral: You gain more authority in terms of ship commanding, and you get your orders directly from an admiral. your bonus is a very generous 600 credits, and your paycheck increases to a whopping 750 credits.
Rank Nine:
Black Ops: Some missions are too messy to officially exist...this is where you come in. A master of stealth and brute force, you are a one man army. sent on the most dangerous of missions, your chance of survival is always slim, but as long as your armed with the most potent weaponry and state of the art armor, your chances level out. Your given a breathtaking bonus of 900 credits, and your paycheck increases to 1000 credits.
Admiral: You command a small fleet under the supervision of a Fleet Admiral, upon receiving your orders, you will follow lead your fleet to victory against the enemies of the federation. You receive and amazing bonus of 900 credits, and your paycheck increase to 1000 credits!
Rank Ten:
General: A Commander of all ground forces and operations, you take your orders directly from the Supreme Council. Only the best of the best can become a General, and just because they get a nice paycheck and all doesn't make them a pushover either. Their were Black Ops originally, you know...they get a promotion bonus of 1200 credits, and have a paycheck of 2000 credits!
Fleet Admiral: The commander of a large fleet of ships, you take your orders directly from the Supreme Council. Only the Best of the Best can become a Fleet Admiral. Master commanders of Ships and the best when it comes to dogfights, you are a force to be reckoned with should you face the Fleet Admiral's Flagship! You get a nice promotion bonus of 1200 credits, and a paycheck increase to a whooping 2000 credits!

A seat in the Supreme Council: That's right. Your in charge. You decide what happens in the Federation, but be wary: Corruption is everywhere. will you succumb to is and be greedy, or will you lead your people into a golden age of prosperity? A Promotion bonus of 1500 credits and an amazing 3500 Credits. This is a near impossible place to get. ( AKA Only Knight-Kun can promote you this high)
