 IMing Zero last night, and she did the "><" face. She's been typing such to me for weeks now, without reason, so I "?" her.
According to her, those little eyes are just like the ones in the "xD" face. So to her, "><" means she's laughing. Or grinning.
I, like many others, use "><" when frustrated or pissed.
Apparently her fiance has the same mindset as 'er.
So uh. WTF? What do you make of the emoticon?
And apparently my boyfriend really did make up the "vampire" face we use! ---> ^,...,^
We checked. O:<"If your stomach feels weak my work here is DONE."

To mw the "><", ">.<", or ">_<" faces are the grinning or laughing mostly because i hardly ever get angry....when i'm irritated it's either a "..." by it's self or a "-.-"

I agree with Thanos. I take >_< as a sort of squinty laugh. More of a "teehee" than a "ha ha." Or I'll occasionally use it as a sign of embarassment or when I can't think of anything else to say sort of as an "oi."
