There was a low growl that defiantely couldn't be ignored. It was...strange...a ball gk placed in his mouth securely so that he couldn't bite was in place. So he was snarling, his nostrils flaring as they were restraining him. The techs were whispering harshly to each other about why Vampy's sudden interest in Pepper had returned. The boss had completely ignored the existance of the 'failed experiment' up until the previous night.
The death at the facility...lead to some wild speculations and accusations...though none were voiced outloud. Their fear ran cold like ice through their veins when their boss calmly explained the inccident. how J'her had somehow been free'd and unfortunately got her hands on one of the lead scientists. No one believed him, but they dared not voice that opinion...else they could join Hunter's fate.
Pepper accusing glare didn't gain them any respite...those..gold eyes...every scientist shuddered when he glared at them. Too much like the bosses...
Still there was a bed beside him as he was strapped down slowly. Apparantly they didn't feel the need to have a seperate room made out for their newest client coming to see them. Adhara was a spawn created from the labs...and besseched by her gaurdian an appointment was created to figure out why the girl...a mixture of lust and diligence had suddenly slowed down in energy levels.
At least her bed wasn't full of straps and cuffs like Peppers.... The technicians were too busy with their handful of Pepper trying to explain to him that if he behaved this would all be over much more quickly. They wouldn't notice anyone entering the room immediately.

Adhara grumbled to herself a bit, playing with the ends of a ponytail that Noah had pulled her hair into that morning, as she recently hadn't been taking the best care of it, and ponytails were simple and easy. She was frowning at the floor when her foster father kissed her on the forehead and then left back to make sure that Haleriun and Aludra hadn't destroyed the apartment in his absence, though he was almost sure that they would have. In fact, Adhara was pretty sure that they did, as well.
That feeling didn't at all diminish the fact that she really would have been more comfortable if he had come with her. True, she'd been here on her own before, but usually when it was something important -meeting one of her donors or, in this case, going to a pre-arranged doctor's appointment- Noah had come with her. Given he'd ended up with two more kids at the same age who he'd received at almost the same time without prior notice, she supposed that maybe that was what was to blame. She owed it to him to at least be semi-responsible and independent, so that was what she was going to do.
She walked down the halls, amber eyes drifting across the corridor, looking for the room that she was supposed to be seeing some kind of tech at, backpack full of random little things in one of her hands. It took a few moments of doubling back and turning around and other things before she finally found the room she was looking for, blinking a few times at the little boy who was strapped to the bed. She checked the door number again, before nodding a few times to herself and taking a step into the room. "Am... I in the right place?"

The technicians didn't pause as one instructd another to hold Pepper still whilst he attempted to find a weak spot in his rocklike armor to give him a needle. Suddenly the room fell silent as they heard Adhara's voice. The murmur of maybe this could wait filled the air. As if they didn't want witnesses. Suddenly the abandoned Pepper and a couple of the technicians filed out of the room.
That left a woman and a man, one was keeping on eye on Pepper the other moved to Adhara removing her glasses as she peered at the girl.
"Ah yes Adhara is it? Thank you for coming." SHe motioned to the empty bed. "If you would please sit down and explain just what the problem was." She inquired as the male was checking Pepper over, measuring and joting down notes. Pepper's eyes were wild with rage.

The girl wasn't even going to think about asking what they'd been doing to... was that boy still only a toddler? Ugh, the horrors of this stupid place still gave her the chills. Adhara pressed her glasses up her nose and walked toward the bed she'd been directed to, Reena going back to the over-protectiveness she'd had back at Adhara's first home, while Niita made a brief attempt to grope at the female scientist, though it wasn't trying very hard. The girl dropped her stuff to the ground beside the bed and took a seat, ruffling her wings a bit before settling them back against her back, glancing around the place and frowning softly, before letting her eyes settle on the woman once again.
"Well, my dad's the one who sent the letter, I don't really know what he said in it," she said, shrugging a bit and wincing as her stomach growled at her angrily, before Reena wrapped around her waist, patting her belly as though it was a loyal canine. She blinked slowly over at the tech, irritation obvious as it grew rather quickly in her eyes and her mind. "Dad says I haven't been acting like myself. He says I'm moody, I tell him I'm a preteen. He tells me that getting sick every morning isn't normal, I tell him that I think I'm sick," she noted, peering at the tech.
"I'm always tired because I'm sick, right? That's how it works with anybody, why am I some kinda exception? So I'm just a sick preteen, it explains everything," she stated easily, leaning back on her arms and letting her gaze wander between the male and female techs boredly. "You're going to poke and prod at me, aren't you?" she asked finally with a raised eyebrow at the girl. This place was still uncomfortable...

The woman nodded her head slowly and noticed the girls attention on Pepper, hmm maybe she could kill two birds with one stone.
"Well if you don't mind I can do a little blood work and I can see if there is anything strange going on." She replied smiling faintly. "And while you wait...maybe you can help us...that one.." She pointed to the one strapped to the bed as still growling behind the gag and struggling against his bonds.
"You see we need to make sure he is growing healthy...but he was....very...uh hostile at the mentionings of needles..." She murmured...hostile was not the best way to describe him. Downright feralit felt like.

"That's fine," Adhara stated simply at the mention of the blood work; getting pricked by needles wasn't all that bad, after all. She frowned a bit at the tech when she mentioned helping them with the little one; honestly, she didn't want to help these people with anything- she wanted to know what was wrong with her, and then get back to her life. But, apparently that wasn't going to happen. She shrugged a bit, stepping off of her perch and walking over to the bed with the boy who was acting like a feral dog. She gave an attempted smile toward him, though she wasn't sure that was going to make him feel any more comfortable.
"What's his name?" she asked, glancing back and waiting for an answer a moment before frowning a bit and looking down at the small one. "Hey, Pepper? Needles aren't so bad, you know," she said with a slight nod, though she was sure that this kid wasn't going to listen to her. Well, mostly sure. Whatever; her brothers didn't listen to her, but she still talked at them on occasion. "Actually, if you make it harder and make the waiting time last longer, that makes it seem a lot worse, 'cause you get all anxious and scared and stuff, and if they miss, then you'll have to get poked even more."
She gestured for the woman who'd been talking to her to come over, trying to be as nice as she could stand being, despite wanting nothing more than to sleep, or lay down at the very least. Which was why if this didn't work, she didn't plan on trying any harder. "They just want to make sure that you're okay. See this woman here? She's going to take some of my blood so that they can look at it really close, 'cause I've been real sick. If they do that, then they know why I'm sick and can help me to get better." Her stomach churned slightly, telling her to find the nearest bathroom within the next few minutes, but she just forced a smile, swallowing thickly and glancing toward the tech with a very 'well, I tried' expression on her face, before going to sit down, flopping on her back with her wings stretched to avoid being fallen on. And... she really didn't want to move now. Maybe to find a bathroom. That would be about it.

Pepper watched her approach warily, and he growled from behind his gag when she mentioned being scared of the needles. It looked like he wanted to speak and snarled at annoyance of being gagged. The tech noticing this went to remove the gag barely missing the sharp teeth that snapped at his fingers. He withdrew his hand quickly. Nostrils flaring he glared at the man before returning his gaze to look at Adhara. Sick? She didnt look sick.
..."you...first." He breathed looking annoyed that he was compromising.
The tech moved towards Adhara she already had the gear together, the needle was prepper and ready, she also had the alchohal swap and a rubber band to wrap around her arm.
"Ready when you are dear. Once we have the blood it will only be a couple minutes while we run it through some tests." She murmured but looked like she was awaiting an okay from the girl to proceed. For techs...these two seemed....not as bad as the others. At least they weren't treating her like some test subject,

Adhara blinked a couple times, as though she was surprised to hear anything come from the boy sitting across from her. She sat up, and gave him a sort of half smile, looking up at the woman curiously. "'Course," she said easily in reply to the little boy's comment, holding out her arm to the tech with the needle and other such supplies. Reena slipped from her waist to wrap around her wrist and wriggle into her hand, where the tentacle held on tight like a concerned parent, making Adhara give the ligament a squeeze in return, at least so that it would stop moving around so much.
Niita seemed much more interested in the tech herself, tapping at the sides of the needle curiously until Adhara hissed at it to stop being such a pest. Reluctantly, the appendage pulled back, looping itself sleepily around Adhara's wrist and flopping against the bed tiredly. She watched as the band was tied around her arm, and a patch of skin was disinfected, and she held her breath when the needle came close, wincing softly at the feel of it piercing her skin. She blinked a few times at the slightly dizzy feeling that the blood loss had caused, but still managed to smile casually toward Pepper. "See? It's nothing to worry about. Jus' a little p***k," she said with a nod, pressing her glasses back up once again.

Pepper watched with still untrusting eyes but when it was all said and done the techs moved aside and appearing to be getting ready to leave. The women smiled apologectically, "If..you dont mind watching him? we will be only a couple of minutes...with us both it won't take as long." she flashed a actual heart warming smile before she excited.
Pepper who had remained still for the moment was suddenly thrashing aain trying to get free as soon as the room as free of techs. He growled and whined much like a trapped wild animal.

Adhara smiled back faintly, though looking a bit pitiful at the fact that she would have to watch the boy. She would just have to ignore- RIGHT. She opened up her backpack and pulled out the ginger ale her dad had bought her that morning, taking a bit of a sip of that in the hopes that it would settle her stomach. It did, but only just. She looked over at the boy sadly when he started struggling again, getting up to lean against the wall beside his bed, not wanting to stand up at the moment. In fact, she didn't even want to lean on something, but she didn't really have a choice, it felt.
"Do you want some?" she asked, offering the drink. She'd help him to sip it, given his arms were bound, but whatever. She was severely tempted to let him out, though. Only if she knew what they were doing. She glanced around for anyone else before speaking again. "What exactly are they doing to you in here...?"

Pepper squinted at her incrediously wondering if she was trying to trick him. He showed his teeth to her and then thought again. He was thirsty. Dammit . He nodded his head weakly. Tired and thirsty and greatly annoyed.
He snorted at her other question. "Poke stuff, annoying...no like them. Bite them I do." He stated twisting his hand again as if he was flexing and seeing if he could try and break it. He couldn't currently.
"You say you sick? You no look sick.." he continued looking dubiously at her claim.

Adhara smiled a bit despite the child's anger. Geez, he was worse than her brother. The older of the younger ones- Hale just threw fits about the fact that he couldn't hear. Aludra had a habit of attacking people when they gave him attention, especially recently. She took a step off the wall and pressed the rim of the bottle to Pepper's lips, tipping it up slightly so he could get a little more than a sip, before taking it back and retreating to her place against the wall.
"Ah. The needles," she commented, nodding a bit. "My brother doesn't like them much either," she added with a weak smile. This kid was reminding her of that little toddler a bit too much, and she almost wondered if the kid had actually known Aludra when he was still at the Facility. It was always possible, but she wasn't completely sure.
She shrugged at the question on her sickness. "Mostly Noah saying that he thinks something's really wrong," she said; no other people, she didn't care about whether or not she called Noah 'father', 'dad', or just 'Noah' if no one was going to freak out about it like Ginny would. "He thinks that 'cause I'm part Diligence and part Lust, so I'm supposed to be all hyper and want to be all cuddly all the time, but recently my tentacles have just been overprotective and I've been sleeping a lot. And throwing up every morning. And having mood swings," she looked down at Pepper.
"Noah says the sleeping thing's what he's mostly worried 'bout. I can stay awake for three to five days. Now I'm asleep every night anyways." She frowned softly. "You know, if you just let them poke you a couple times it won't be so bad. Then they won't do it as many times later, and they won't strap you down like that," she said, gesturing to his bonds a bit sadly.

Pepper frowned and then shook his head then looked at her again and then to his bound hands. "Let..go?" He asked a bit hopeful. He wanted to be free before the technicians came back so he could restart on his assault on them.
He knew she wasn't a technician, just by looking at her he could guess. Still though...he wanted to be free and he was about ready to do anything to attain it.
"Please?" He added hasitly remembering how Almas wanted him to be polite if he wanted things.

Adhara bit her lip a bit, watching the little boy and sighing a bit. Okay, so she still did want to let him go, but at the same time she didn't want to get in trouble for it. He looked pretty strong, though, so couldn't she always claim that he'd gnawed through the bonds and then gotten away before she could catch him? The preteen glanced to the side a bit, her stomach growling and earning pets from Reena, while Niita...
"Niita, don't- Oh... fine. Just don't tell them that I let you out, alright?" she whispered to the other boy, rolling her eyes at the fact that Niita had already gotten one of the boy's hands out of the bonds. He looked healthy enough, and some of the techs could use more exercise anyway. She smiled a bit at the little one when she was finished, chuckling weakly. "Our little secret. Nice to meet you, Pepper," she said calmly, offering him the rest of the ginger ale bottle, as she had far too much at home as it was- she could spare some without any regrets, what with her dad and his shameless flaunting of his money. Especially involving his kids.

Pepper bolted upright so he was sitting he rubbed his wrists he looked to Niita curiously and then reached out to touch it. "What is?" He asked curiously cut he jerked his head up quickly as he heard something with the tilt of his ear. He quickly reached out for Adhara he didn't want those techs to touch her. He wanted up.
The technicians were quiet when they re-entered the room. They both looked drawn and pale both looked at each other before a moment before to to Adhara.
"Um...Adhara.....we got the results of your blood work." The woman started, she gestured for the girl to sit down.
"Now...how long have you been feeling...or acting different?" She inquired.
