Switch was about to give up for good. It had been a good month since she opened the shop, and she had been cleaning it for an average of eight hours a day since the day she had the store reopened. A MONTH. The place looked as dusty and as abandoned as it had when she first opened the doors! Apparently the shop had a mind of its own, and that mind had a decree that read 'Thy and Thine cleaning utensils shall not work'. Or something like that.
The blue haired woman threw down a filthy dust rag in frustration, stepping on it and twisting it into the creaking hardwood floor for good measure. Damn thing betrayed her! Damn Mr. Clean, Damn Swiffer, Damn Dust-be-gone, Damn them all!
"'They can clean all surfaces' my a**." Switch grumbled, moving to sit down on the hardwood floor, ignoring the whining creaks it gave in protest. "You're not allowed to talk until you let me clean you." The woman hissed to the creaking floor, and though it didn't surprise her, the creaking stopped. Her green gaze looked at the messy building, just now noticing how many stuffed animals the place had.

Jiang was looking around at everything with huge eyes, having never seen so many people in one place before... then again it was debatable if he'd seen this amount of people all together in his life time. The rainbow haired kirin was quite sheltered to say the least. The noise was something else to, so many conversations going on all at once that they blurred together into a din of indistinct noise, cars moving on the streets helped only to add to it and for someone like him it was all quite dizzying to try to take in all at once.
He tightened his grasp on the shoulders of the one who was currently carrying, helping him to keep from getting lost, hurt, stolen, or from getting his the pretty robes that he was wearing dirty, "This place is so crowded." He murmured, his long ears twitching before laying back. It was all so overwhelming and he could feel himself starting to shake a little bit... so he set to looking back and forth looking for a shop that they could go into, some place quiet so he could regain his nerves.
One stood out to him, it looked as though it wouldn't be to terribly crowded and had some cute things in the windows, "R-Reu...? Can we go there?" He murmured, lifting a small hand to point at the shop.

The wolf man carefully reached up and began to reassuringly pet his husband. This was generally why he didn't take Jiang out places - the poor kirin just didn't take well to so much activity and noise.
"Shh, it's all right, dear." he assured the littler male, "Of course we can." And with that, the pair entered the Curio shop.

The floors started to creak again, and Switch cast a sharp glare at the old floor. "That is QUITE enough out of you!" She told the hardwood; apparently being alone in this shop for so long had made her go somewhat loopy. Seriously, talking to the floor? The creaks continued, and then she realized that they were from footsteps, unusually heavy ones. Blinking, the blue-haired woman looked over her shoulder, then stood up quickly.
"Oh! Um, Welcome to Balcombe Curiosities. My name is Switch..." She rambled out, hoping they hadn't heard her mouthing off to the shop's floor. "Feel free to look around! If you need anything, just let me know." Her gaze was unphased as she looked at the odd pair; she's seen strange things and learned to get used to it.
She picked up the dust rag she had so angrily dealt with earlier, instead going to busy herself to give their pair their privacy, but not so far as to leave their view.

Jiang blinked a couple times as he heard the voice of a woman, finding her having a rather heated argument with the hardwood floors of the shop. His dual colored eyes got a bit wide at that and he looked to Reu in a confused manner. The conversation with the floor was traded for words with them, a welcome to her shop and an introduction, "Hello." He murmured to her with a little, shy smile.
He turned back to Reu then, "If I can get down?" He murmured, finding the place to be empty enough that he didn't mind walking on his own two hooves. He would have to be careful not to scuff up the floor though or it might spark another argument between it and the woman.

The man nodded and reluctantly let his little lover down. "All right, just be careful. I don't want you falling and getting hurt." Reu intoned quietly.

Jiang flushed before giving a little smile. He gathered the robes to lift them up, walking along carefully so as not to step on anything, not to trip, and not risk scuff the floor with his hooves, "There are lots of cute things here." He murmured as he walked along, looking over everything on all the different shelves. What a cute little shop!

Jiang looked over his shoulder at Reu, feeling a bit bad for him... he didn't exactly see him as the sort that would like to hang out all day in a shop full of cute knick-nacks. All of the little odds and ends were quite fascinating to someone like Jiang though who had been far to sheltered for all of his life. He paused every step for so to inspect one item or another, giving little smiles, clapping for a few things, then took a couple of steps only to be drawn to another item.
It was a slow going process in which he inspected most everything in the store when something caught his eyes causing him to freeze in place, head tilting to the side. He was suddenly in a starring contest with a bright pink bear, "Ahhh! Look Reu!" He said pointing at it then gave a soft giggle, "Its just like you." He said, not explaining before he trotted over to it.

"Um.......okay." the dark haired man said with a shrug, following his kooky little husband towards the bear in question. What he had in common with a bright pink bear, he wasn't entirely sure about but this was Jiang so it was anyone's guess.

"Awww! Little Reu, the bear likes to read." He said when he got close enough to see what it was exactly that the bear was holding. A little book... that was so adorable! He'd never seen a stuffed animal with a book before, it seemed to be holding onto it so tightly, "Must be an interesting book." There was no other reason why the bear would hold onto it so tightly.
Jiang lifted a small hand up to touch the bear, running it over the soft pink first, "Soft." He murmured, starting to believe more and more that the bear was just like Reu in all ways... aside from maybe the color. He looked over at Reu for a long moment then giggled, no... he couldn't quite see the wolf man running around in pink.

Reu staaaaaaaaaaared at the red eyed bear for a long moment, extending out a long finger to poke at it. It was cute and for SOME reason, he had a feeling they'd be taking it home - both because Jiang seemed to find it cute and because he felt the need to buy the thing.

Jiang looked over and gave a giggle as he saw the way that Reu was first starring at the bear and then poking at it, "Cute, huh?" He gave an excited sound, "We should get it for you!" He said, reaching over to pick it up then as he did found himself starring at the book the bear was holding.
His dual colored eyes blinked a couple times, Pho... bias? Wasn't that the name of a someone in Greek Mythos? Or... was that Phobos? He couldn't recall off hand.

Switch was pretending to sweep while the other two walked around. If she were actually sweeping, she wouldn't ever pay attention to those around her, which would have been bad if the pair needed her attention. When the plush bear and its book of Phobias was touched, a pulse-like sensation shuddered through her body. While this happened to her everytime an item clung onto an unknowing Guardian, but this time...this time was different. This time, it felt like two items clung at the same time; it was stronger and more forceful than anything she'd felt before.
Her broom fell to the ground in her surprise.
Looking over her shoulder, she stared down the aisle that the pair disappeared into. Huh. Two items at the same time...strange. It had only ever been one at a time, even if there were two people in the shop, the items always attached at different times. Curiousity over the items in questions urged her on, and the woman moved to pay her customers a visit.
"Umm..." She started, more to announce her arrival into the aisle than to ponder what to say. Green eyes moved, catching a glimpse of a bright pink plushie holding onto a book. Oh, so...it was a twinset? That would explain it. "I-If you like it, you can have it." She said, absently lumping the two items together as one.
"As a gift." A smile crept onto her lips and her hands innocently clasped behind her back.
