Come one, come all, to the friendly assembly of our dog pack!
MargeXX and I are starting it, and we invite you to come take a look. Here in this thread, we'll be brainstorming up ranks, the name and history of our pack, and much more!
We would love it if you'd offer your interest, suggestions, advice, or whatever else!

Current Culture
The _____ pack is comprised of only dogs. Most pack members will currently be strays born into the pack, but owned pets and city strays are allowed to join. Sometimes, trips to the city will result in new pack members in the form of city strays or even pets.

Ranks and Jobs
The Council
The Council is made up of three dogs of either gender. These dogs are normally very efficient leaders who keep the best interest of the pack in mind at all times. They make the rules that the pack lives by and enforces these rules. When a rule is broken, the Council members convene to hold trial and decide the punishment of the rule breaker. Can be any dog breed.
Midwife
Midwives are the nannies of the pack and are in charge of taking care of the pups and helping out any pregnant members of the pride through pregnancy and birth. They are also in charge of basic education of the pups. Midwives are typically female and very rarely male. Can be any dog breed. (about 1 Midwife for every _____ puppies?)
Sage
The Sages are the doctors of the pack. They treat anyone who becomes ill or injured and are often well educated with herbal remedies and other medical things. Dogs of either gender can be Sages. Can be any dog breed.
Hunter
The Hunters are exactly what they sound like. They gather food for the other members of the pack and when needed to, are the main defenders in the event of an attack. The Hunters are led by a single dog of either gender who is second only to the members of the Council. Normally the large and medium dog breeds but can be any.
Swift
Swifts are the scouts and messengers of the pack. They are very fast and good at traveling over long distances. Dogs of either gender can be Swifts, but only breeds with longer legs are allowed to fill this position.
Youth
The puppies and teens of the pack, normally offspring of other members. The Youth are generally aspiring to fill a certain role by the time they are teens, and oftentimes they are invited to go along to watch a hunt, or witness a birth. Some teens may become apprentices to Midwifes or Sages, but Hunting is considered too dangerous to participate in until adulthood.
