Seth walked into the bar, holding the door for Vlaityn. He signaled the elderly Madam Rosmerta for a drink and plunked down in a table near the back. Rosmerta brought him a butterbeer and a shot glass. He popped the cap on the butterbeer automatically and was about to pour some into the smaller glass when he halted, realization hitting him like a frying pan to the head. He pushed the shot glass away quickly, then took a large gulp of butterbeer, squeezing his eyes shut.

Although Vlaityn's lips wanted to flicker up into a ghost of a smile at the evidence of Seth's usual choice of drink, she forced it away and looked out of the dusty window in the back of the room. It wasn't such a bad day, weather wise. Who would have guessed it would have turned out such?

Heaving a small, personal sigh, Vlaityn found her thoughts vaguely wander to Sezer. He would know how to act in such a situation. The right things to say. Heck, he probably had the brains and breeding to fix it best he could. Vlaityn shook herself slightly, admonishing herself for letting her thoughts wander away from grieving at a time like this. Glancing at Seth subtly, Vlaityn had a terrible feeling it would be a long, long time if the boy would ever smile joyfully again. If ever.

Resting her head in her hand, Vlaityn gave herself time to ponder the day and the events and the people. And to ignore the butterbeer she knew she wouldn't even try.

Sezer meandered in lifelessly, forcing a smile that somehow did not give the incentive that like he'd rather eat his Transfiguration essay than smile. As he gazed at the elderly Madame Rosmerta, he found it became slightly less difficult to keep up. "You've done a wonderful job with the place," he complimented her, silently keeping back the after thought 'considering your age'. She smiled at him and thanked him and told him to sit where he wished. He turned his back on her in order to find a seat, when abruptly he was overcome with the sensation of a knife being stabbed through his abdomen.

There she was. The lovely young witch whom he believed to be his girlfriend who had only recently tacked on the vile 'ex-' to the title. All his decrepit journey over here from Hogwarts, he'd been attempting to muster up the courage to be angry with her, but it was a failed attempt from the beginning. Every time an angry thought would begin to form in his head, he would feel immensely guilty. After all, she really didn't do anything to him. She was just following her heart. And, well, obviously Seth was able to give her something he wasn't. And he'd just have to accept that and move on. 'After all, if you love someone you must set her free.'

With another forced smile, he waved at them both, moving his legs forward with a will he could only assume came from the fact that he still wanted very vehemently so to remain friends with her. "Hello Seth, Vlaityn." Even to his own ears, the latter name sounded terribly strangled.

At the mention of his name, Seth looked up at Sezer, seeing the anguish apparent in his body as he looked at Vlaityn. Something evil smiled out of Seth's dead eyes, and something evil felt a deep, angry pleasure within him. His luminous blue eyes flashed venom-green as they cut Sezer to the core. And then the moment was over, and Seth's listless eyes returned to what would have been Esrath's diminutive glass. He raised his hand mechanically and gave a small wave, returning it quickly to the bottle. He drank the last of his second butterbeer, his eyes going unfocused. Madam Rosmerta evidently had brought out the stronger vintage today. The long, awkward silence that followed was abruptly ended as Seth tactlessly asked, "So, what happened between you two, Sez?" With the influence of the drink, his lilting Scottish accent was overpowered by a horrid, flat American one. "Ya look like you've seen a basilisk."

As if on cue, the one and only Sezer had shown up. It almost seemed like a trait of his, appearing whenever anybody's thoughts seemed to wander in his direction. Then again, maybe that was just because he was on Vlaityn's mind quite a lot.

But he didn't appear in the manor Vlaityn was most accustomed to. Sezer always seemed tall, proud, proper, and nearly heroic in her eyes. If he showed up, things were (usually) about to get better. He just held that aura.

Yet the mighty Sezer seemed dejected. Defeated. Slow and sad. Vlaityn furrowed her brow in confusion. She had had breakfast with him this morning, many hours earlier, and he had been quite fine.

'Perhaps he's ill.'

Although she would have naturally inquired immediately upon him, Vlaityn was still too perplexed to say anything at first. And then Seth swung his view over to Sezer, in an apparent state of indifference, and began inquiring upon him before Vlaityn could comment.

"You....do not seem well." Vlaityn murmured slowly and nervously, afraid something bad had happened to him as well. But part of her mind was stuck on Seth's strange questioning.

Sezer snorted softly in a very Sezer-like fashion at Seth's question, raising a subtle eyebrow, as well. "Sez?" He echoed, doing his best to keep his voice neutral and indifferent. "I can honestly tell you, Seth, a basilisk would be heaven compared to what I've seen." His eyes glassed over, against his better judgement, and he fought for control again. He cleared his throat once more, feeling it impolite not to answer his question. However, just then, it actually dawned on Sezer just what his question was. He raised his eyebrow again, and this time he did not have to fake the suspicion and inquiry in his voice. "You don't know?"

This was certainly a new development. He would've thought Vlaityn would've told her new boyfriend about her ex-boyfriend... After all, he thought Joel made it very public that he and Vlaityn were dating the day the new term began. And since then gossip had surely spread, so he obviously new. Maybe he didn't care? Sezer frowned in thought. That didn't make sense. What if Vlaityn was dating the two of them at the same time and had managed to keep them away from one another until now, and that was why she looked so passive. Another thought struck him. Her words had been intended for him, and he heard her, and was about to respond to them, too, but they also applied to her, as well. She didn't look well. He automatically reached out for her hand, as he'd acquired a sneaking suspicion that such an intimate action always helped her feel a bit better, when he abruptly snatched it back with the bitter realization that he wasn't allowed to anymore. The entire process looked odd and did nothing to help his mood.

Once again, the knife in his abdomen twisted. He fought a grimace against the discomfort and cleared his throat again; then he fumbled with his glasses, if only for something to keep his hands busy. "Mind if I join you two?" The words were out before he could stop them. He began to stammer slightly. "That is, if you two wouldn't mind company-- If it's of a private nature--" He smacked himself on the forehead with his palm. "I'll just leave then, shall I?" He murmured defeatedly, a bit of humor present in the air from his recent obvious audible fumbling.

Seth, now quite intoxicated, said off-handedly, "The more the miserable. Pull up a chair and we'll be the conversational equivalent of a threesome." He popped the cap on a third bottle and drained half of it with one gulp, looking off somewhere into space. The glow in his eyes flickered, flared brightly, then went out completely, leaving his arctic blue eyes as normal as anyone else's, but absent any cunning or intelligence.

Vlaityn nodded in agreement to Seth's invitation. Of course she wanted Sezer there! But he was acting so odd and uncertain. Maybe there was something terribly wrong. Was it her fault? Vlaityn clenched up at the thought.

'What?' Vlaityn mouthed silently over Seth's shoulder at Sezer, praying that nobody else had died. What a day it was turning out to be. And it didn't help that Seth was drinking too much butterbeer, a substance usually harmless, if their wasn't too much consumed. Reaching over fluidly, Vlaityn snatched up the fourth bottle from Seth's reach.

"You've had enough, dear."

A bit of life returned to Seth's eyes. "I very much doubt that. At least, until I've reached a certain level of alcohol poisoning." He smiled humorlessly and scratched idly at the tabletop. When he looked at his hands, he saw he had drawn a snake. He quickly scratched it out and looked instead to Sezer and Vlaityn for some non-Seth-generated drama. Catharsis, he thought. Something that isn't my fault for a change. He leaned carefully back in his chair, expecting to feel scaly coils shift to avoid getting pinched, but of course nothing happened. Seth bit the inside of his mouth ferociously, pretending to dig an eyelash from his eyes.

Sezer nodded politely and pulled up a chair on Vlaityn's left side, trying and succeeding mostly not to flinch at the terrible screeching sound the chair made when it clashed against the tile. Sezer again raised an eyebrow at Seth's remark. He was a sixth year, he shouldn't be drinking. Granted, the Ravenclaw didn't know when his birthday was, and he really had no right to tell him what he could and could not drink, but he still wrinkled his nose privately at it. It was just the way he'd been raised. Alcohol killed wizards. He then noticed Vlaityn's mouthed inquiry and smiled at her sadly. Eventually, when it didn't hurt so much, he'd talk to her about it.

Though he wisely kept his opinion to himself about Seth's growing intoxication, another opinion was formulating in his mind. One he very much wished he didn't keep pointing out every time he saw her. 'Vlaityn really is rather lovely. I can't believe she doesn't see it.' He opened his mouth to tell her when he snapped it shut. 'Oh, yes, that's right. She doesn't like compliments. She can't handle them very well. ... And besides that, not only would she not appreciate being told in a public manner, but it's not my place to tell her those things anymore.' And cue the twisting knife.

It was in that moment that he noticed Seth looked rather pained. Subsequently, the guilt washed through him. Here he was caught up in his bird drama when this bloke who was a year below him, and, obviously, Vlaityn's friend, was in serious pain. "You alright, there, Seth?" Sezer asked amiably. With a ferocious effort, he pushed his own pain to the side. It could wait.

What was she supposed to do? Stand and face the mob? No, that would be just foolish. Pretend that it never happened? No, that wouldn't work, they saw me do it. Blame someone else? Same reason. No, Raina had to run, no, sprint, three blocks, through the alleyway's, jumping over crates, avoiding strange animals in carriers, and even running into the younger children at Hogsmeade with their parents. It was insane, however, it was a good thing that she was in good shape. Those ten miles a week really help. If I didn't, I would probably have either tripped, or tired out. Like Cella would have by this time at least. Fireworks. Raina had gotten the idea a long time ago, and that was what happened when Raina was left alone with money for too long. However, it was her own damn fault because of her temptation. Why on earth couldn't I have waited until I was outside of the fireworks shop to test the fireworks? Because of that little lapse of judgment, the entire shop set aflame.

Good thing there were enough wizards to contain and fix the problem, but there are still people after me...Dammit. As Raina continued through the little shopping village, Raina stormed through the area, even managing to be relatively graceful as she ran, she came to the first building that probably had next to no one in it.
The Three Broomsticks.

Rather quickly, Raina opened the door to the small little cafe-like building and quickly shut the door behind her. Quickly running her fingers through her hair, the long black curls up in a really tight pony tail, and the like an explosion coming out of the hair tie. In her blue and red Bermuda shorts, and a t-shirt, Raina looked casual for once, considering that she was always wore her uniform, even usually on days she didn't have to. So, the uniform was definitely something that was almost never seen.
Her breathing was just a little faster than normal, and her back was against the door, the very few areas that could not be seen from the window. Leaning forward, Raina looked out the window to see a small group of people yelling, and then running past the small place. With a sigh, Raina finally looked around her surroundings, noticing some of her friends, and some guy she never cared to meet. Sauntering over to their little table, Raina regulated her breath, trying to make it look like the fiasco from the last ten, twenty minutes didn't happen.

“Good day Seth, Vlai...And....I really don't care to find out your name, but I assume that you're going to tell me anyways.” With a nod towards Seth and Vlaityn, Raina took it upon herself to be seated on the opposite side of Sezer, between Seth and Vlaityn at the table. Hurm, Seth looks....Holy s**t. His cheeks are rosy..Is that...I think it is..Butter beer, sounds great right now. I'm not going to lie.

His mind growing ever foggier, Seth answered Sezer wryly, words still clear but beginning to run together. "Just dandy," his American accent twanged. "Just absolutely-delicioso-Rick James-dandy." He cast Sezer a distainful look and rolled his eyes. "I got the two people I cared most about in the world killed over Easter holiday." He raised his hand to his lips and realized Vlaityn had taken his fourth bottle of butterbeer. As the saucy Slytherin stormed in with an angry mob running past in the background, Seth looked up blearily at Raina. "Wow," he slurred. "You're cute without the uniform." And then he gracefully passed out with his head on the table.

Her cheeks were slightly pink as she watched his head collide with the wood of the table. A compliment. And of course, it only comes out of him when he is drunk. With a sigh, Raina really wasn't all that worried over the ravenclaw boy.
“Anyone have any hot sauce?” Oh, right, I have some in my pocket. Wait. Why the ******** do I have hot sauce in my pocket? No matter, it works wonders. Or, at least it does on Ascella.
With her teeth, Raina pulled the lid off of the bottle, however, as she did so she began to rethink her decision.
Maybe I should just let him sit there. He didn't look to good, and...Well, Maybe this will let Vlaityn escape with...What's his name. With a sigh, Raina put the hot sauce back in her pocket, even though she knew it would wake him up, she didn't really need to do so.
“Oh...Seth...Wake up.” Her voice was painfully sarcastic with a tone of uninterest, considering that he was just passed out, and she could see his back moving up and down as oxygen passed through his lungs.
Hot sauce was only used when she knew that they had to move. THe firey pepper concatenation would wake anyone out of their slumber with the smell, let alone the taste of it. However, considering that they were not in a hurry, Raina did not feel the need to be in a hurry at all.

“Can I please?” “No.” “Pretty, pretty, pretty please?” "No!" "bu-but-but pleaaaaase!"“Alright, alright already.” “Thanks sir.”
It was just a sucker! You'd think that he wouldn't be mad if I brought in something form another shop that he didn't even sell.
Joel had been arguing with the man at the counter, who only moments before had stopped Joel from entering because of a giant rainbow sucker. It was a tasty sucker, give him that, and it was adorable along with being delicious.
However, that damn sucker was the reason that Sezer was forced to go into the Three Broomsticks without any form of backup. With a rather sexy saunter, for a guy that is, Joel walked over, and looked rather coolly at Sezer.
“I was supposed to come in with you wasn't I? Sorry...But it was rainbow..” With a smile, Joel pointed to his sucker, almost offering Sezer some, but then remembering that it was a sucker, and it was his sucker.
After a moment of just not paying attention to anyone else, Joel noticed his buddy Vlaityn and...Seth..And that Raina girl.
However, Raina was kind of being surly, and Seth was...Holy- he's on the table..Is he drunken? Yes..I'd think so.
OH MY GOSH! The red stripes are cherry flavored!

Trying to lighten up the obvious tight mood, Joel put on a smile, obviously not caring that Seth was just there on the table, and Raina had just pulled out a bottle of hot sauce.
“See Sezer, I told you that your lectures could put people to sleep.” With a sweet little smile, Joel looked over at Vlaityn, sure that she would see, but not so convinced that she would respond to him after Seth is just laying there on the table.
