G.F.A.F.D. - Galactic Federation Alt-Form Department

Alt-forms
An Alt-Form is defined as a alternate form of movement that is smaller and capable of navigating small areas and for combat. Here at the G.F.A.F.D. , we keep a close record of all the alt-forms seen in the world.

Lockjaw: Of Human and Galactic Federation Technology, the Lockjaw works the same way the morph ball does in terms of how the transformation occurs, transforming the user into two interlocking ( hence the name) tetracarbon ceramic-alloy blades joined together by an energy thread. The energy sphere in the middle contains the user’s life energy, similar to the Morph Ball. The Lockjaw is a fast manueverable alt-form capable of engaging it enemies through use of trip mine bombs, and can lock an adversary in a triangle for a devastating result. It can also move across wide gaps by rapidly exploding trip mines until it cannot generate any more. In low gravity environments, it is capable of ‘flight’. Originally stolen by Bounty Hunter Sylux, it has since been modified, created, and available only to Federation Marines at the rank of Commanding Officer, the same rank they would be bestowed an Energy Sword.

Half turret: Design of universal origin, though has seen more successes from the space pirates. If one has to be rebuilt with technology after a horrible accident, they are usually outfitted with the ability to split from their lower half, which auto targets enemies and fires on them with either a weaker version of the power beam (for mercenaries and G.F.s) or battlehammer ( space pirates). The upper half is then capable of traveling around on its own and through small passageways. It’s equipped with an energy sword that can only be used in this mode to slice enemies or obstacles.

Triskelion: The Triskelion is of Kriken origin and therefore the alternate form of Kriken warriors, brought about by sophisticated military biotechnology. It allows the Kriken to transform into a three-legged war machine. Since the Triskelion form is smaller than that of an ordinary Kriken, it can be used to navigate narrow passages in order to discover otherwise unreachable areas. In combat the Triskelion makes use of a powerful lunging attack to deter foes, and if it remains stationary a cloaking field will activate, rendering it nearly invisible. It should be noted that Kriken Civilians cannot turn invisible or use the Triskelion due to it being military BIOtechnology.

Vhoscythe: The Vhoscythe is an evolutionary adaptation of the Vhozon race. The Vhozon tuck their arms and legs in tightly, allowing themselves to spin quickly in a top-like manner. This alternate form arose as a way for the Vhozon to keep warm on their frigid home world, Vho. A long scythe-like appendage can also be extended when spinning, allowing the Vhoscythe to fend off enemies.

Dialanche: An Evolutionary adaptation of the all but extinct Diamont race. The Dialanche is a hypercondensed Furrous orb capable of rolling at high speeds and scaling walls. The Dialanche is capable of extending two titanium limbs in order to batter adversaries.

Flight Mode: Essentially the use of a jet pack or other back or foot mounted flight device, instead of being able to move through small passageways, the user is capable of flying through open areas and capable of firing their weapons in combat, making it a more powerful alt-form than other kinds. Available to anyone, they typically use fuel gel as it’s main source.

Crawling: Only available in Tier 1 armor ( such as Samus’ Zero Suit, however the Zero Suit is classified as a Tier two in terms of protection, though has the appearance of a tier one), the user is capable of crawling into a narrow area such as small tunnel or air vent, and then move about inside easier. It can be rather tricky to do so, but being armed with smaller sort of weapon, your able to defend yourself a bit better than some alt forms. Usable by anyone in Tier 1 Armor, or when not in their tier 2 or above armor.
