Ah yes, it was one of those days. Books alone couldn't satisfy Meirou's intent to learn, and neither could the first warm day in Gaia. She had arrived in the cooler season, and wasn't at all used to the warmth of the sun and the greener grass. No snow? Ah well...Perfect time to study the entirity of this 'Gaia'.
Meirou left the symphony to let Kanna practice, seeing herself fit to walk around without any trouble. After all, the park was only across the street. The porcelain girl walked over into the grass, looking up at the trees. Did trees here have leaves too?
She projected a slight concern for the naked plants, knowing the weather here was slightly unpredictable. She sat down under one of them, looking up at the blue sky, contemplating her readings of this 'Physics'.
Refracted light?

Pleased to see that it was starting to warm up a little, Chourou headed outside for a bit of fresh air. Much as most of her had wished to avoid home during the Gaian love holiday, she had spent it with her family anyway just because it was too cold to go out wandering. Perhaps the change in weather meant that spring would come soon, though, and the Knight would have more opportunities to get out.
She sighed a little, holding Ako to her chest as she walked towards the nearest park. Her new home was a nice enough place, but Chourou found herself pining away for her estate back in Bukoku - funny how being misplaced in another plane could change how she felt about the place. If nothing else, it was warmer there. And the place in Jasmine Road was one that Reiga had built just for them both, and not just part of a convenient arrangement with a human merchant.
Chourou found a nice open space when she got to the park, and set Ako down on her feet in the grass. The mother settled herself down on the ground, then, and rubbed her eyes before smiling at her daughter. Ako has Mommy's permission to run around and be rambunctious for a while if she wishes. Get all that energy out after being cooped up inside the small apartment.
Ako peered at her mother for a few moments, holding onto Chourou's fingers. Then she thought she caught the projections of another Porcelain.
Sky?
The girl's pigtail bobbed a little as she looked around, then up.
Who's there?

He wasn't supposed to be wandering around outside, least of all alone, but when Kinji had awoken to find himself in a strange and new place . . .his heart was troubled. There was nothing here that he recalled - no, nothing he had ever seen before at all, and as he took a few uneasy steps through the trees it became more and clear that he was not...home. This was not the island, this was not the area...
Where...am....I?
His words were hard pressed in his mind, and suddenly it seemed as if he were not alone. There others, he could feel someone like him thinking about the sky, but he had been alone before! What was going on, who else was here?!
Where?! Who?!

Meirou blinked at the familiar feelings of the projections, one curious, the other horribly...jumpy as it seemed. Deciding the first to be just a tad more welcoming, though she sent a bit of concern for the other one hoping that the other would fallow, she stood and walked over in the direction of Ako.
Hello little one! Are you alone like Meirou or did someone bring you here? Meirou smiled gently at the little girl. Had she come to play on this lovely day when the tempurature had risen to above 40?
Then, seeing Chourou, Meirou sent another greeting. Oh good! Little one wasn't all alone! Was Miss her mother? Did they get dropped here by the Prince like Meirou?

Ako gave a shy little giggle, waving to the unfamiliar girl with one hand, and sticking the fingers of her other hand into her mouth. Yes, she sure was out here to play! And she was here with Mommy, not alone. She stepped back to grasp at the sleeve of her mother's tunic.
Still sucking on her fingers, the younger girl radiated curiosity towards the older. Her brow furrowed as she picked up nervousness, too, though; was the stranger nervous? Or was it coming from somewhere else?
Yes, Dame is the little one's mother, Chourou corrected gently, as she straightened a lock of Ako's hair with two fingers.
And they walked here to the park, and arrived just a moment ago. ... The knight's brow furrows for a moment. Unless the young lady has just appeared here in Gaia, by means of some "Prince"? Chourou keeps her thoughts on the circumstances of her own arrival walled off, though she gave off a feeling of soft concern at the thought of a child being left here in this strange world alone.
Speaking of worry, there was someone else somewhere nearby. Taking Ako's hand in her own so the girl would let go of her clothing, the Knight of Bukoku rose to her feet, projecting a general question as to who it might be.
"Hello?" the woman called out, glancing around for signs of another Porcelain

Two? No, three. He could feel three...and then he heard someone. It wasn't the thought, the feelings that were normally shared, but a loud call. Kinji knew it would be in his best interest to respond - these were other Porcelain! - but a deep fear kept him from moving all at once, or at least quickly.
He took a few uneasy steps towards where the others were, or at least towards were he felt they were, and as he cleared past several trees that were keeping them all apart he stopped to take in the view of three female Porcelain. Three healthy females.
. . . . . .
A clear projection of hesitation was sent out as he knew that just as much of them was visible to him, he was to them as well. They could see the marks on his face, the red laces on his hands. They would know he could not approach them . . .right?

Meirou smiles at Ako, happy to hear that she enjoyed playing as well. Does little one come from the Golden World as well?
Meirou is most sorry, Dame! gonk Meirou has forgotten so much since the Prince of the Silver World took her to Gaia. Meirou was minding her own business on the Far Shoals and this wave just--!
Meirou stops, turning to look at Kinji in the distance, her eyes catching the sight of the red material.
... ... Illness?
Is the boy ok? Did he arrive in Gaia by the Prince like Meirou? Meirou won't hurt him!
She desperately wants to get closer to ask questions, but also doesn't want to get sick. D8 Kanna would be most unhappy! Instead, she projects concern at him, worrying about the poor boy. Did he have any family? Or a home? Does he know Dame and the little one? What's his relationship to the world?

Chourou heard a rustling of branches and leaves, and held up one hand to shade her eyes as she turned towards the sound.
As the boy stepped into view, Ako got quiet and held onto her mother's leg, then projected a faint feeling like something was wrong with the stranger. She stared at him, but her projections became sympathetic, too - he looked very hurt, and it made Ako sad.
Torn between an instinct to avoid his obvious signs of illness and desire to make sure he was alright, the Knight of Bukoku took a few steps closer but still maintained some distance.
The Knight worried suddenly that he had caught whatever illness he since coming here to Gaia. Chourou had traveled enough to know that the unfamiliar details of a new place could make one ill - a slight difference in the taste of the water, rain coming at different times of the year, and such - and it struck her that Gaia, so far removed from the entire Golden World, might bring even more serious travelers' sicknesses.
What misfortune had the little boy suffered?
"Did you just come here?" she asked him, projecting her question as well. "Are you alright?" Chourou dearly hoped his illness was not catching.

Kinji panicked as he was assaulted twice with questions and with a feeling of something he knew - sympathy perhaps - and he took a few steps back but was stopped as he came into contact with a tree. There was no where for him to go, and all of his instincts commanded that he try and tell these people to stay away from him.
He was unsure if he was still contagious, having been the only one left on the island after everything had come to pass, but since he had awoke in this strange place instead of the Silver World . . . he felt none of the pain that his illness naturally would cause.
He assured them he was fine, there was no need to worry, but they shouldn't approach him. He would take the steps to come to where they were instead, since it seemed for the better.
So slowly Kinji took a few steps forward, his body feeling so weak but still able enough to move, and as he walked he tried to answer what they had asked of him.
No, he knew not of a Prince - he had been sleeping before he came here. Yes, he was sick, but . . .
He trailed off in his thoughts there.

Meirou stayed a little behind, not wanting to scare the boy anymore, seeing as her questions caused him to panic. She felt bad, sending a quiet apology over to him. Meirou just wanted to help...
Kanna told Meirou about these 'Hospitals' that help people get better...Maybe he could get to one if he needed to?
The girl patted Ako's head gently. Meirou will protect Ako as Shuuken protects Meirou. Meirou promises!
Meirou looked over at the symphony's building, but saw no one. Kanna was still working....

Well, if he was sick, then he would not be attacking anyone, so Ako did not really think she needed protection. Besides, Mommy is there, and that is all the protection Ako will ever need.
But, um, the tiny girl thanked Meirou anyway?
Chourou gave off a feeling of gentle encouragement to the boy in hopes of assuring him that they were not here to do him harm-
-Wait, only one left on what island? What was going on in the Golden World where young sir was before he went to sleep and awakened to find himself here? The Knight finished the question with a note that he need not give her an exhaustive answer now, of course, but where he was from, at least, was quite important.
Is there anything the young one required? Medicine or water, or a healer for the remnants of the wounds on his face and hands?
There are other Porcelain here besides Ako and Mommy and their new friend, so, uh Mister Stranger doesn't need to be afraid.

Kinji wasn't afraid, more like anxious and hesitant then anything else, and he took a few more steps towards the trio of women until he was close enough that if one would reach out he could be touched. He still kept his mindful distance, knowing how the disease spread, but he was almost unnerved at how he found himself so eager for this contact.
He'd been all alone, thanks to the disease Kin'u called 'Bloody Lacing', he let the others know. It had been on an island where he was the only left alive, or so he thought, but perhaps he was still on that island? He did not know where he was.
And towards the offer of a healer, he shook his head. Only he and Kin'u seemed to know how to care for this disease, so anything here would be of no use. He bowed his head politely to indicate his gratefulness for the concern of the elder woman, whom he addressed with the noble world for Lady, and of the two younger women, whom he addressed in a very similar manner.
He wondered, if it were rude of him to know, if he could have their names, as well as where he was? Kinji was not one to waste time should information be available to him.

Meirou sent a quiet projection of sympathy, keeping herself restrained as to not spook the boy. He would reach out if he wanted to be touched, right?
Everyone here is in 'Gaia'. It's a nice big...place. Meirou is sure she hasn't seen all of it, due to its massive size. But Kanna takes care of Meirou so she doesn't have to worry.
"Kanna..is my...caretaker!" She slowly said aloud, practicing still in case one day she could take her ceremony. Even if she never saw her parents again, which was sad..., she wanted to make them proud! "And..Meirou is Meirou!" She spoke a bit more confidently, seeing as she had already got one sentence correct.

Chourou echoed the older girl in naming their location - the Knight admitted that she did not know terribly much about this new place called Gaia, except that it was removed entirely from the Golden World, and populated primarily by humans, it seemed. She assured him that, at least as far as she had seen, it was a peaceful place for the most part, though, and that there were a number of other Porcelain who had also arrived here... somehow... from the Golden World, so that the four of them were by no means alone here.
Her brow furrowed in concern a bit at the boy's story, but she gave off a bit of a feeling of being more at ease after hearing it. If the threat of whatever disease the boy had seen was confined to just one island in the Golden World, then perhaps the rest of the Empire remained largely unharmed in the absence of its Knights. She kept that last thought hidden, though, in consideration of the boy's feelings, since he had likely suffered great loss in the plague.
The Knight bowed then, introducing herself as, "Chourou" and her little daughter as "Ako".
The tiny girl mimicked her mother's gesture of greeting, and clumsily projected her own best polite hello.
... If he was sick, maybe some soup or something would help? Mommy always got soup for Ako when she was sick.
She then stuck a finger in her mouth to suck on, and clung at her mother's tunic with her other hand while giving off a little shy feeling.
Glancing over at Meirou, the Knight of Bukoku then inquired if Kanna was one of the humans of Gaia? Her own family had a human benefactor as well, a man by the name of Akram. She was not really sure if Meirou would recognize the name, though.

So even to those who had been here longer than he this place was a mystery, this knowledge doing nothing to settle Kinji's heart, and the young Porcelain sighed inwardly as he nodded towards the trio in an effort to show his gratefulness for even the slightest bit of information.
He was called Kinji, he finally introduced himself, and he folded his hands together in the front of his body as he bowed to show his own respects. It may have been a while since he had last had to act on manners, the people of the island dying and not in want of courtesy over life, so the motions were stiff but full of good intentions.
There was no need for soup, he was actually feeling fine despite how he looked, but Kinji nevertheless thanked the little girl holding onto the proud woman who made the young boy's heart pound. She seemed beautiful, but not in a way of lust or want. More or less the child was feeling admiration, feelings he kept under close guard.
What...what were humans? He had heard both women say that word now, caretaker at least in Meirou's terms, but the name was strange and foreign to him.
