Once you buy a fishing rod, its yours forever! I'll never break, and can be used as many times as you like!

Whenever a fishing event is held, all of the involved Pokemon are assigned a certain number. The Pokemon's number is determined by its rarity.

Common Pokemon will have a number between 1 and 10.
Uncommon Pokemon will have a number between 11 and 20.
Rare Pokemon will have a number between 21 and 30.

ALL evolved Pokemon are considered rare, regardless of what their pre-evolution is.

At the start of the event, nothing is known about the Pokemon being fished for except its rarity (via the number assigned to it). Once posted, all eligible fisherman must then Random Number Generate their Rod's assigned number (1-10, 1-20, 1-30). The person who hits the Pokemon's number first wins!

However, before your line can be cast, you must first purchase Lure Balls!
Seeing as how lures and hooks can harm the Pokemon, we only allow these special Lure Balls to be used in our contests.

Each time you attempt to capture a Pokemon (IE, every time you generate a number), you use up a Lure Ball. More balls can be purchased at any time during the event, however, you must wait for the order to be processed before you can start using them.

Because the Apricorns required to make these special balls are so hard to grow, we are forced to charge for them.

A bucket of 10 balls costs 200g. The amount of buckets you can buy is unlimited, and all unused balls may be kept for use in later events.
