I found out from my cousin that there is an archive in NYC where you might be able to find a recording of one of the musicals that is not ALWs.

I know there is an Italian musical, "Il Fantasma Dell'Opera", directed by the coreographer André De La Roche, that mix some original music with music written by Mozart, Beethoven, Bach, Liszt, Gounod and Prokofiev.

From what I know, there are many dancing moments, but I don't know if it's a good musical or not.

The original musical that ALW bought the rights to in order to bring us POTO was called 'Phantom' by Maury Yeston I believe, or else he was a composer...

That is a musical, but the rights to the story were out of copyright, so I'm pretty sure Lloyd Webber didn't have to buy any rights. Yeston is also the composer of "Titanic: a New Broadway Musical"... which actually isn't new anymore, and isn't even on Broadway. Anyway... the soundtrack for "Phantom" can be found here...

Phantom - Maury Yeston
It stars Richard White (the voice of Gaston in Disney's Beauty and the Beast) as the Phantom and Glory Crampton as Christine. It is based on a made-for-TV-movie released in two parts, found on DVD here:

The Phantom of the Opera - TV Miniseries
It stars Charles Dance as the Phantom, Teri Polo as Christine, and Burt Lancaster in a surprise part.
