I have some chopsticks, a bowl for rice, and some traditional Japanese art framed to put on my wall. I just haven't got around to putting nails in my walls yet.
Hammers and I don't get along well.

I remember once upon a time I looked up the flight of stairs that we have at my home and I realized that the landing still hadn't been decorated yet. I grabbed my mom and was talking to her about how we could make it look nice. See, in my house, there is a big window right at the landing, and it overlooks the entire property. It's actually pretty nice. Well, what we ended up doing was going to Target and having a good time picking thru their Asian market section. It only comes for 1 season a year, but we could see all of the little figurines, paintings, vases, etc. It was really pretty cool. I love going and home decorating during that time. In the end, we settled for two watercolor paintings and a floor vase.

But, I don't really count those as Japanese items. I don't really have a ton of Japanese things in my house. It's kind of the way it's set up I guess. It doesn't have a very eastern feel. It's very western. But, it's western in a cold way. x.x Sometimes you can mix things like that. The only really unique Japanese things I've had have been brought back to me from Japan from my friends. One example is this figurine set that my friend bought me from a Cat Store.

Because apparently, they have specific stores for specific things there. It's I think a 5 piece set, and it's a glass cat in a red kimono with an obi, a postmail box, a purse, letter, and stand. It's really kind of nifty and cute. smile

I guess if you want to count it is a post card I got from a friend who was sationed in Okinawa and maybe my cell cover. It's a koi fish, other than that, no. I wouldn't mind having more though.

I have a yukata that was a gift from our exchange student and a few ball joint dolls (but they're really Korean so I guess they don't count.)

I had a Japanese soda pop. It was AWESOME!!! Because in it was a marble that was blocking the opening shut, and you had to "pop" it open with the weird-looking lid. It was kinda hard...heh sweatdrop
