In the Bible who is your favorite hero or who would you like to be?
As for me I think my favorite bible hero would be Esther (cuz i'm a girl) can you imagine being a queen and having to defend her people from the wickedness of those that were against her kind.

I was thinking about this thread again and the other day actually yesterday at church we had a visiting missionary and he was talking about Heroes, and how we ought to have heroes from the bible and in real life...He said that in real life that the missionaries that go out to foreign land to bring the gospel to those there should be heroes in our eyes for they given up so much to do what the Lord has laid on their hearts do to. especially those in the lands that are against christians and God for they have to completely rely on the Lord to protect them from those that would love to see them leave or even dead..So if you think about it maybe we ought to pray for those in the foreign fields also, for they too are Heroes

Missionaries in foreign fields make Athletic stars seem so fake... ;] Funny how little kids look up to those Athletes and movie stars... when the real heroes are over seas telling others of Christ.

The Bible is filled with heroes, heroes who are quietly tucked away like Jabez, or more known heroes like Moses. A hero is a person who does great deeds, is courageous, or inspires. To me I couldn't chose one from the hundreds that are in the Bible. Each and every person has a unique personality that no one else had or will have. Which is what makes reading the Bible so much fun! If I had to anwser though without a doubt I'd say my hero is God!

david and jesus....jesus because he was sinless and he died for our sin.....and david bacause if you read though 1st samuel it said that when king solomon was angry and david he got his men to look of him and kill david....so as david hid in very back of the tunnel....solomon went inside to use the batroom (not jokeing read it) and davids men said lets kill solomon for the lord said this day will come....david said no and went to cut off a piece of what solomon was wearing....then when solomon was finished and left david came out with the piece of solomons cloth.....and 7 chapters later solomon kills himself...

Josiah, the humble king, is my hero. He left everything just in complete faith...he tore down the idols because the Word told him to. He's the faithful and the meek...the true hero.

My three favorite Biblical people:
1) Jabez. His prayer is inspiring.
2) Gideon. I'm realling into military stuff, and 300 vs. 3000 is amazing. God pulled it off through him.
3) David. My name is David.

Oh, I'd like to add something...Um, in 2 Kings 23:25, the Bible says, "And like unto him was there no king before him , that turned to the LORD with all his heart, and with all his soul, and with all his might, according to all the law of Moses; neither after him arose there [any] like him."
The scary thing is, I'd never before heard stories of Josiah, until my pastor did a sermon on him...I've only heard stories of David, and Saul, and so many others, yet never Josiah. David sinned a lot and that's shown in the Bible...yet Josiah, it isn't mentioned of any sins that he committed...I don't understand why they wouldn't teach young kids about this young kid that did so much just because he knew the truth.
I mean there were so many who suffered horribly for the Lord...Josiah didn't, but he changed everything for the Lord. That's someone to admire, I believe.
