Taking a closer look : Bliss slowly opened her pale violet orbs to what seemed light a brightening room, but in fact it was only her alarm clock, enchanted to shine a faux sunbeam in her eyes when it came time to wake up. She had charmed it herself sometime during her third year, it pleased her to know that it still worked even if it didn't always stay on schedule. It was always a pity when it shined late, as it had done today.
Slowly, but surely she pushed herself up into a sitting position, her covers falling off the front of her as she did so into a soft pile. A yawn escaped from her pink lips as she swung her feet over the edge of her bed and onto the ground, the cold stone sending a shiver along her spine. The girls dormitory room was always a bit chilly, due to the fact that it was up in a drafty old tower. After five years one got used to it, hopefully.
After about fifteen minutes Bliss finished with washing up and shrugged on her uniform, walking towards the mirror to fix her tie. Her slim fingers fished her wand out of her robes pocket and she turned it towards the thin piece of material dangling around her neck, she watched with a smile as it tied itself. With a small nod at her reflection she grabbed the few books, parchment and quills she needed for her classes and returned her wand to the pocket from whence it came. She wouldn't have time for breakfast this morning, since her wake up light had been a few minutes off. It didn't matter though, if she was late let it be so. Her marks were so good that none of the professors minded. Especially Flitwick, her first professor of the day, since she excelled in charms the most.
By the time she made it out of the tower and into the maze of hallways she knew she was late, since most of the first year stragglers had already found their was to their classes. Her eyes only caught a few wandering the halls, their noses buried in their class lists and their faces hot with frustration. Such antics brought a grin to her face, the corners of her lips turning up ever so slightly.
Sighing, she shook the feeling off, quickening her pace towards charms. She stopped in front of the door, taking a moment to brush down the front of her skirt before she pushed it open. Flitwick was already atop his mound of books, rattling on about the newest lesson, so she tried to be quiet, taking the nearest available seat, she was eager to hear about the latest lesson.
