-Physical Training- Fulfills requirement for Offensive [Soldier-General] and Defensive [Guardian-Advisor]
Instructor: Gen. Greg Larine Quote: Located in the Gym, the class offers extensive exercise to all students. Different kinds of sports are offered each month, and the workout machines are always open to students. Prompt When you take physical training every day, it can get tedious quickly if you aren’t careful. How do you keep yourself motivated and interested? Write down your weekly schedule and your plan and take us through a class or two. Cane was in the gym again, stretching his muscles that were still warm from the jog he'd done around the school. In a tight darkblue knit and some well-fitting black shorts with tennis shoes, it was obvious that he had extensive training plans for the day. Unlike most of his classes, which he did alone unless he ran into another student, he knew he had a partner for this one.
Scyeth. They'd been working out together a lot. Even though Scy was a demon, Cane could keep up with him until the end of the day, when the native was tired and Scyeth was only winded. Still, it seemed he wasn't too far behind the blonde. Cane didn't mind, it pushed him to work harder each day.

Scyeth was late. But Scyeth was always late, so it was more like being on time in Standard Scyeth Time. The demon was dress in board shorts, boots, and a simple tee. Scyeth, as much as he enjoyed looking at himself in the mirror, liked to be a little more modest when it came to dressed. He wore the boots because he felt like they made him work harder.
The blond made a beeline for his friend and waved. "So, what are we up to today, Cane?" he asked, never really fazed by much. "M'kinda in the mood to change it up, myself."

Cane grinned as his comrade showed up, reaching out a hand to clasp the other boy's forearm, a greeting which had, by now, become familiar. "Well met, Scyeth." The native himself was fine with routine, liked it even, as it charted his progress, however, he was a fan of change, adaption. A large finger point toward the southern end of the gym, indicating something outside, and he nodded. Scyeth's need for entertainment provided Cane with an outlet for his own creativity, and so they often took turns setting something up for the other for this class. It had been Cane's turn today.
"Something fun." He knew the other boy liked to show off and be challenged. "A course of obstacles." Another large smile. "We will time it, and attempt to be our best record for today next week."
It was actually a rather difficult one, similar to the type that might be used to train upper-level army recruits.

Scyeth grunted, looking to the obstacles his partner had mentioned. Today was obviously not the right choice for boots. Alas. The blond shuffled in place and rolled his shoulders. "Sure, why not." It was a change of pace, just like he had asked. The obstacle course must have been what the gym had set up for the 'sport of the month' gig they had going on. "You have a watch or something? Not something I usually carry," the blond mentioned.
With a grunt, Scyeth leaned over to start a stretch. A stretch was in order if they were going to run a challenging course. Hurting himself would be absolutely pointless.

A thick finger pointed at the wall, where a timer on a necklace hung from a hook, along with other work-out supplies. Finishing a leg stretch, Cane moved across the room to pluck it from its resting place and began heading for the obstacle course. Scyeth would catch up, and the native wanted to get a good look at what they were tackling, anyway.
After all, Scy had a natural advantage. "I will go first, if you like."

"If you want," Scyeth shrugged, pausing in his warm up ritual to look up at Canaan. He had no preference about order. Besides, if the other student went first, it would give Scyeth a chance to see how the course was running. Couldn't argue with that! "Yeah, go on ahead," Scyeth confirmed. "Just let me get the watch so I can actually, like, time you."
The blond stood and stretched until his back popped before strolling over to the native. He snatched the watch from Cane and give it a few trial clicks, making sure he actually knew how to work the device before looking at Cane. "Ready whenever you are, man."

Cane did one last stretch, nodding at Scy, before setting into a runner's stance. "Ready, start time." He took off, and hit the first ramp with surprising speed, charging up it and leaping off fearlessly to hit the ground in a crouch. Letting himself fall forward slightly so he rested on one hand, he used it to push himself back up, running 3/4s speed to the tires, where he moved quickly through them.
Full speed, and without reservation, he dived into the pads underneath the crawling course, letting them skid him about a fourth of his way through on pure momentum before crawling hard.
Scrabbling to his feet a little awkwardly, Cane did a 180, running back to the start of the obstacle course to begin the second half. He was glad for the strong calluses on his hands as he pulled himself up the rope ladder, smacking the bell on top hard before letting his body drop, hitting the ground hard.
The monkeybars were done with ease, and the last ramp as well, in a quick, almost leisurely fashion, and as Cane slid down the pool and jogged back to Scy, he grinned. He'd done extremely well - for a human.
"Your turn. Write my time down here." A point to a clipboard nearby.

[file was forbidden. D: so bare with me here.]
Scyeth clicked the little green button when Cane said go, blue eyes flicking between the time and his work-out partner as he dashed around the course. Not bad, not bad. If Scyeth was not Scyeth Akazar, he might have been impressed, but as the case may be, the blond's ego was entirely too monstrous to really appreciate the hard work of others.
"Not bad, not bad," he muttered, scribbling down the native's time before tossing him the little yellow stopwatch. "Now, I will show you how it is done," he preened, stretching back twice more before jogging to the starting position. "Ready? GO!" he shouted, his face splitting into a grin as he barreled up the first ramp, barely slowed down by his unwieldy boots. He hit the ground running, clearly almost losing his balance as he raced towards the tires. It was lucky Scyeth had no fear of falling, because the tires nearly ate him a couple times, his boots getting in the way again.
Scyeth was not pleased with how long that took (not long, but probably slower than Canaan, he figured), so the youth took off as soon as he was free, leaping into the crawl course without abandon. He wiggled through like any good soldier would and pushed himself to his feet with inhuman ease, sprinting to the second half of the course. He sprung up into the air, quite sure he would make up time by starting the rope higher than Cane. The rope burned his hands, but he really didn't think he had time for the as he pulled himself up, his face fixed in a determined grin. Scyeth hit the bell before sliding down, letting go about halfway through.
s**t, his hands really stung. The blond carried on, shaking his hands until he reached the monkey bars. Why where monkey bars even on an army course? Up the last ramp and down the pool, he loped back over to Cane, shaking his head.
"I could have done better. I bet I was still faster than you, though."
Nothing like a little friendly competition.

However, a large grin split Cane's face as he handed the stopwatch to Scyeth, the blonde's time still on it as he scribbled it down on the clipboard.
"Not by much, demon." A few seconds, which Cane reveled in, as he couldn't hope to beat Scyeth, unless the boy had an injury of some sort, or wasn't paying any attention. Still, he was friendly as he clapped Scy's shoulder. "You will do far better, next round." It wasn't a compliment, or consolement, it was a fact.
Thumbing over to his gym bag, Cane had no qualms about his need for a rest. "I'm going to have a drink and snack before I go again. You?" Scyeth's hands looked very red, much more than Canaan's.

"Again? Today?" He might not have tried so hard during the first round if he knew he was expected to preform again. And better, nonetheless. "I need to do something about my hands," he said, grimacing as he closed them into a fist. The stung terribly, he had taken off a lot of skin sliding half-way down that rope. "Do we have a first aid kit in the place?" he asked, inspecting his hands. "I probably just need to wrap them up, and they'll be fine."
It would be best, actually, if they wrapped them less then well. If Scyeth could garner a little extra attention from RuiZhi through an injury, well...the pain was definitely worth it.

A smooth shrug and reckless grin from Canaan and the broad-shouldered teen nodded, heading over to the equipment wall and pulling a box labeled First Aid off of a shelf. He was familiar with the name, as well as symbol, as they kept a few in the car garage back home. He'd also needed a few bandaids since he'd joined the school.
"Perhaps not today, then, friend." An easy laugh and Cane opened the kit up, letting Scy get a good look. He didn't know modern medicine well, nor did he know what worked on a demon and what did not. Bset to let the blonde tend to his hands, himself.
"Your... boyfriend," Cane was still becoming familiar with the term, "he is studying healing arts, no? I am sure he will tend to you." A big smile.

Scyeth threw his head back and laughed as he followed after Canaan, heartily amused. He shook his head and flashed the native his most winning smile, blue eyes a-twinkle as he chuckled again. "Yes. Yes he will," the Australian agreed, offering his hands up for inspection. "Incredibly convenient, considering the number of accidents I've had," he continued. Not to mention he just adored being doted on.
"I think if we just put something on it to stop the stinging, and we wrap it up to keep it clean, I'll be fine until RuiZhi can tell me otherwise." Scyeth knew that much about injuries, anyways, that keeping them clean was vital. And it hurt. As much as he got himself into his little predicaments, he didn't actually enjoy pain.

"Yes. I am not too familiar with the antibiotics they use here, or what will work for you, but..." A bottle of hydrogen peroxide was held out. "Try this? Then we will put a bandage on it."
Watching Scyeth, he found himself grinning. The blonde was an enjoyable companion [despite his snark], and they generally had good workouts. "Let us stop for the day and reattempt the obstacle course tomorrow, mmn?"
Micajah would be happy that Cane was done early, at the very least.
