hey all you players, i'm starting the first campaign that i'll will be DM'ing for, and i'm stuck for ideas of where to start the campaign within the forgotton realms setting, so any help or advice ould be greatly appreceated.

Well what you want to do first, is just decide what kind of campaign you want. Then just look around for interesting organizations and/or people that you would like to incorperate in your campaign. After that, just come up with an interesting story involving that oranization and/or person. It's not all that difficult to get started, and then you can ask the people that are playing with you and ask what they want to do, and tailor it to them. An easy place to start is Waterdeep since so much goes on there.
