This quest has been going on longer than this thread has existed. It just wasn't until now that I was able to gather up the resources to create a solid thread in this guild.
This quest, Tenko had a little Pokemon..., a quest for an evolving Mareep, is part of a much larger quest, Android Dreams, which is a quest for Flaaffy pets, in general. The more the merrier, after all! (^_^)
So, why Flaaffy? I could've gone with Trunks or Vincent or Kero or Rock Lee or Balmung or any of the other fictional characters I love so much, but I went with Flaaffy. Why?
It's because, when I was a much younger artist, I was into realism and all I did was draw cute, realistic things. Then, one year, thanks to my younger cousin gifting me a Seel plush, I got into Pokemon. That didn't change my art any, though. I just did really awful Pokemon fan fiction filled with lame crossovers and Mary Sues galore! xd So, what happened?
Well, later on, when I discovered Pokemon Gold and Silver were out in Japan, me, like the dork rofl I am decided to research it. When I did, I discovered some new electric types, Mareep, Mokoko, and Terinryu - their English names are Mareep, Flaaffy, and Ampharos BTW - and I thought the design of Mokoko, which I originally thought was a girl Terinryu xd , were so cool that I just had to draw it. And I did, with glitter glue and all, heheh!
After this, I experienced a bit of an art shift. I strayed away from realism and now, it's to the point where I doubt anyone would be able to guess that I ever was a practitioner of it.
Since art and science are my passions, anything that affects them in any way changes my world. So, here's to Flaaffy! A little thing that help to make a big change in me. (^_^)

Tenko's (Nonexistant) Healer Journey Log
2/15/09___ It seems like yesterday when I graduated from the Pokemon veterinary college in Kanto. Then, I had a residence at a Pokemon Center in a small Johto town, Florian, near Mt. Silver. Today, I got an offer to go to Zatao and travel around, healing Pokemon. It sounded like it would be a great learning experience, so I couldn't refuse.
Zatao seems good, so far. I'm really scared, though. I miss my grandfather, fiance, and friends and the wild Pokemon of this region seem really vicious. I've been attacked by wild Pokemon in the past, but most of them were provoked beforehand or were behaving defensively due to their injuries. These Pokemon seem like...they just don't like me! *doodles stick figure with a sad face on it in the margins* Still, no matter how they feel about me, it's my duty to help them out. Who knows? Maybe I'll grow on them?
I have my Mareep, Mocha, with me, and she's follows me around and can take hits well, so she keeps me from being beat up too badly. Since it's just the two of us, we have to rest a lot. While I worry about her getting knocked out - luckily, its easy enough to get salts to concoct something to revive her around here - it's nice having her around. She's so warm and fluffy. Sometimes, when I pet her I get shocked. This is to be expected. *doodles shocked stick figure with a smiley face on*
I heard there're more healers around in Zatao. I'd like to meet up with them. Perhaps we could learn from eachother?

2/18/09___ I have been staying at the Pokemon Center in Katarina. I'm surprised by how large the facility is. It's even bigger than the one I worked at back in Johto. Actually, this city is bigger than that entire town too! When I was told about Zatao, I thought it was going to be a no man's land. I guess I was wrong.
Mocha is like a big, fluffy pillow. A big, fluffy pillow that shocks you and tries to gum your head while you're sleeping. *doodles herself with a smile on, surrounded by hearts* I'm used to being treated like that.
Anyway, I'm sleeping a lot better now and I'm not as homesick. I want to go explore the city someday. Healing Pokemon in the forest and staying cooped up in a Pokemon Center can really wear a girl out. Not to mention it's boring.
I might do so later on today.

3/19/09___ It has been nearly a month since I last updated my log. Things have been uneventful.
I'm becoming more accustomed to Zatao. Mocha seems to be growing stronger. I haven't gotten into as many tussles with wild Pokemon as before.
I've also discovered a treasure trove for berries. If you mix Pecha berries with bitter herbs, it'll make the medicine more palatable to Pokemon. Pecha berries are especially good for drawing out poison. I plan to experiment with more berry and herb mixtures in the future.

3/15/10___ It has almost been a year since I last updated my log. A lot of things have happened.
Zatao seems like another home now. I missed it dearly while I was gone.
Tonny called me from Kanto and asked if I could visit. I said I could and that has been where I've been all these months. I've had a lot of fun. My time spent with him feels like a dream.
I don't think Mocha likes traveling much. Or maybe Tonny's Pokemon - he has an Electrode and Ditto, both gifts from his parents, his father and mother, respectively - intimidate her? I have trouble figuring out if she's mad or afraid. I can make out her other emotions just fine. It's just those two that I mix up. Anyway, I think it's nice for her to socialize with other Pokemon. Besides, his Pokemon are very friendly. Perhaps even too friendly? I think they'd wander right into a hooligan's arms just to say hello!
I'm back in Zatao. Oh, I missed you! I'm sure Mocha has too.
