 Euterpe was out wandering around. She hadn't been able to go anywhere due to the floods further in the south. She was heading down that way to see what the damage is. She was humming to herself and was wagging her tail in time. She paused at a rather large tree and looked around. It had been ages since she had seen another. Perhaps that should be her goal of the day, to find someone else. She grinned and nodded to herself. "That's what I'll do. I'll find someone to talk to and go see about what the floods have done." She said in a singsong.

"Woah... what's that noise?"
Celebrian had been minding her own business--well, spying on one of her pack mates, so she guessed it was another's business--when she had heard the strangest sound. Or maybe not that strange, for her mother used that tone of voice when singing her to sleep. But this voice was that of a young Helix, and it was high. But it sounded so strange... because it sounded so good.
"Wow... I don't know anyone around here with that voice!" She spun, facing the direction in which the singsong voice came from. She began to trot that way, then broke into a run in her impatient curiousity. "I'm gonna find you, singer gal!" she shouted, giggling as she pumped her little legs.

Euterpe started walking again this time singing softly to herself. She was singing a song she was making up as she went. "I'm looking for the flood. To see the damage done!" She sang completely missing another pup's voice, "I'm hoping to see someone new while I enjoy this view."
She had to stop when she reached a fallen tree. She stared at it for a minute debating on going over or under. "What shall I do when I reach the fallen tree? Shall I go over or under?" She sang swishing her tail, "Over is the way to go. For it shall show how much I've grown." She crouched down and leaped up only to come short at reaching the top. She fell to the ground in a heap. "Well that didn't work." She muttered as she stood.

Celebrian skidded to a halt as she neared the voice, and smiled when she spotted a white pup in the woods before her. Curious, this one was... why did she sing her questions? Actually, it was kind of weird. Yes, definitely weird. Celebrian had never seen someone who liked to sing as much as this , and especially one who not only talked to themselves, but SANG to themselves. Strange, it was.
She remained in the shadows, her eyes slowly following the other female's movements, then her eyes widened as she tried to jump the fallen tree. Almost instantly, and definitely unintentionally, Celebrian began to giggle, then broke out in uncontrollable laughter. She fell onto her back because she was laughing so hard, her paws waving in the air.
Then she remembered the other, and abruptly stopped the laughing. Rolling to her side, she called out, "Erm... are you alright?"

Euterpe jumped around as she heard someone giggling then laughing. "Who's there?!" She asked quite startled, "Um..... I'm alright. Nothing broken." She looked around for the other before spotting her in the shadows. "Hello there. Who are you?" She asked grinning all of a sudden, "I'm Euterpe." She bounded over to the other pup and wagged her tail.
"Oh I'm so happy! My goal of the day has been completed!" She said in a singsong. She stopped as she realized that she was starting to sing everything she said and bowed her head as a blush crept up her face. "Sorry about all of the singing. I love to sing and when I get really happy I start singing everything."

"Yeah, I can tell!" Celebrian said, almost rudely. She stood back up, looking the other pup over, and noticing the strange music-note marks. "Wow... you're the weirdest creature I've ever seen..." she murmured, almost to herself, then gasped. "Wait--wait! I didn't mean it! I mean... sorry. Really, I am. I just... speak the truth, that's all." She sighed, then wagged her colorful tail in greeting.
"My name's Celebrian, but everyone calls me Cele. 'Cept for my mama, of course. She's always prim and proper, ya know?" Celebrian gave another giggle, then tilted her head. "So, what's a singing little pup like you doing out here? Do you have a pack nearby too?"

Euterpe stared at Cele in shock and lowered her ears and tail. "I'm sorry." She said sounding sad, "I can't help it though. I love music and singing so much that I just end up singing or humming without realizing it."
She perked up a little when Cele introduced herself. "Hello Cele. Yeah mom's can be prim and proper." She said shaking her head, "No I don't have a pack. I do hang out with Naoki sometimes. As for what I was doing..... I wanted to go see the flood or at least the damage it caused." She swished her tail lightly before smiling. "Do you want to join me? It'll be much more fun if there's the two of us."

Celebrian tilted her head a bit in thought, remebering the harsh beatings her momma had given her when she had wandered off before. But exploring was just so fun! And adventure was in her heart. There was just nothing she could do about it. She had to go, and that was final.
"Well, Euterpe, seeing as you don't have anybody else to go with... Of course I'll go!" she exclaimed joyously, swishing her tail in excitement. "But ya gotta promise me that you won't tell my momma. I'm gonna try to sneak home when we get back, and maybe spare myself the punishment." She said this as if it were no big deal, and with the voice of a sly genius. Of course, sneaking home never worked--but she was willing to try it again, just so she could have some fun.
"Alright, Euterpe! Lead the way!" Cele stated playfully, stepping out from behind her tree.

Euterpe tilted her head at Cele's odd request. "Sure I won't tell but why?" She said confused. She never really had parents since she had wandered away from her own and thus didn't know about punishments for wandering off.
She wagged her tail and turned to the fallen tree. "Looks like we're going under! Tis easier that way." She said with a giggle. She crouched down and wiggled her way under the tree to the other side. Once out she stood and shook herself off. However one dead leaf clung to her head right between her ears.
