 I bought 2 systems, 1 set of wires 2 controllers, a zapper, super mario bros 3, and super mario bros/duck hunt for $8.25!The bad thing is both NES's dont work. Discuss

I still have an NES in my basement. I don't think it still works, it's covered and dust. My brother still has LttP though. Speaking of which I also have a Genesis down there but I want to stay on topic.
I might dig up the NES just to see.

Well, that's very sad, but they can probably be fixed pretty easily. Usually when an NES seems broken, it's just a minor problem that can easily be resolved (sometimes it's not even broken, just set up wrong).
The only person I've ever known who's NES was just completely gone was my roommate (he had two extras, no big deal).

I still have an NES that I boot up every once in a while. Don't have many cartriges for it, though one has 63 games on it, including the first Super Mario Bros. It came with some off-brand company's console, the only cartridge compatible with it. My family was living in Asia at the time, only reason I have it.
Oh, it also has Devil World on it. 3nodding

I still have one....but I'm not sure if it works so I just play the games on Wii...but I should at least see it it works....
