Well, how did he ask?
But, among other things, I think it's scary enough to ask someone out that just the relief of a "yes" is probably enough!

Is it a friend? do they like food? what's their favorite kind? I ask because one of my friends answered by giving the guy a jar of m&ms, saying that if it was even, it was yes. Odd meant no. Fun stuff. Exactly where is your prom gonna be at? Mine was at a science center (and I went stag) you could use the were as a way to say yes.

Okay this is how he asked; its kind of hard to explain: I went to my locker and found a typed piece of paper with the words Book of Mormon at the top with the number 16. Underneath that was a collection of numbers, three numbers per line. I had no idea what it meant. Being the day before Valentine's, the school sponsers a fund raiser where people can send carnations to their friends and significant other. A white carnation signifies friendship, pink is crush, and red is love. I went to my third period class and was given a white carnation with 1 Nephi 16 written as the message. It took all day, but I (along with a ton of friends) was able to crack the code. The first number in the group represented the verse in Nephi 16, the second the line in the verse, the third number the letter in the line. The message then said, "Will you go to the prom with me?"
(Did you get any of that? I hope so . . . ) biggrin
Yes, he is a very good friend. Like all seventeen year-old young men, he likes food . . . Our prom is going to be at our high school . . .
He spent so much time on the question, I've just been thinking of a way to something equally unique. The M&M idea is intriguing . . .
(Sorry 'bout the wall of text . . . redface )

LOL!! Clever! Okay, do something similar. There actually two verses in the BoM that said "and he said, yea". There also one near one of them that said "adn he answered, nay". If your name's biblical, sign it with a verse with your name in it. That's my idea. how you deliver it's up to you. ;D
