Maybe you should take this with a grain of salt... remember AvP:Extinction? Sure it may not have been BAD, but it certainly didn't excel. Then there was Predator:Concrete Jungle and the AvP:Requiem PSP game...

Not to be too terribly pessimistic about it... But Vinessa's right. This is being made by the same people who did the first Aliens vs Predator FPS for the PC, but that only means they've got some vague experience. The storyline with the most plot to it belonged to the aliens. Not that that's bad in itself, but considering the simplicity of that one... Still, here's to hoping.

I for one am a fan of AVP:Extinction and Predator:Concrete jungle but as for taking with a grain of salt...
...the Videos out already show how wicked the games going to be and we have only seen the Pred in action.
(BTW ive copiled information on the game in a thread already is it worth linking that info here or is my Sig link ok?)

the 1st move had plot but not enough violence avpr was the opposite they need to combine the elements to make it good

From what I've seen/read it looks like they're drawing heavily from the old games without just re-hashing the same stuff. The sheer brutality I've heard about in the Predator trophy taking animations is actually worrying people about an AO rating which would push this game off of shelves in major retailers. One of the lead designers is worried he may have to tone down the scope of certain moments. I've also heard they're making Xeno's more sneaky and slower when on the walls to make it a little more fair. But I also heard they're gonna go the same speed they used to if you choose that option. I'm excited. In other news I may finally get my own copy of AvP 2 to play so if anyone here wants to multiplayer it up Drop me a line in about a week or so.

Haven't the AvP 2 Severs (the downloadable ones... yes I know Sierra shut the real ones down...) all but died from lack of activity? or am I totally off for just saying that?

The game looks kick a**, but i've known about it since June. This should piss everyone here off, the canceled Aliens: Colonel Marines!!! And the game shouldn't be considered AVP 3, you got me all stoked for a new movie, and its just the game. Btw does anyone know if the AVP movies are done or is there anything out there on a third movie?

As well as Predators coming out in 2010, and a prequel to Alien at some point.

That helps. Thanks for confirming the AVP movie and the others. Yea, it has taken them forever to make the AVP game. But i guess that with the long wait the graphics should be amazing.
