Other physical traits: Somewhat short, and if you can catch her not cosplaying (which is a rarity in itself), she wears thick glasses.
Clothes: Have you ever heard of Pokemon Cosplay? Lapis has! She wears a dress that looks very similar to that of a Lapras, complete with baggy sleeves to mock the big fins of the Lapras. She wears a backpack that she sewed up herself to look like the shell of a Lapras. Her socks are cut just under the knees and have the Lapras splotches on them as well. Her shoes are the only things that don't fit, for they have little Staryu replicas on the straps. It is a rarity to see her in anything but her cosplay outfits, but when she goes casual, she goes EXTREMELY casual.

Personality: Don't let the cute exterior fool you. Lapis is a nerd, through and through. She is well-schooled in Pokemon, and usually can recite any Pokedex entry by memory. This girl is the type of person who can get really annoying really quickly, due to the fact she is constantly drowning you in the useless information you really never wanted to know. She just doesn't realize that not everyone cares about how many Magikarp can fit in the stomach of a Wailord. Sometimes she might come across as creepy, but who can't help but love nerdy Lapras PokeManiac?

Life before Zatao: Born in the city of Sootopolis, Lapis was raised with a great respect for water type Pokemon due to her city's Gym. She was part of a relatively affluent family, though most of the wealth of her family came from her aunt who was all business and had no family other than that of her younger sister (Lapis' Mom). Due to such easily accessible funds, Lapis was given the best education possible for any young Pokemon trainer. Lapis was a quick learner, and in fact, enjoyed learning a bit too much. During her studies, she learned even more about the rare Pokemon, and many aquatic Pokemon, and came across her favorite Pokemon, Lapras. It was during this time she discovered what her passions were. At the age of 10, when children set off to become a Pokemon trainer, her aunt sent her a Dratini she had caught from the Safari Zone in Fuchsia City. Using this as her only Pokemon, she trained day in and out with the Pokemon, in hopes of becoming a member of the Sootopolis Gym. At the age of 15 years, she applied to become a member, but was turned down due to her general lack of Pokemon (as well as her creepy personality). It was at that time she decided to move in with her Aunt to possibly see more of the world. Lapis stayed with her Aunt for 5 years, traveling with her to the different regions and learning many things about the world, including cosplay and this new land called Zatao.

Pokedex Entry: It loves crossing the sea with people and Pokemon on its back. It understands human speech.
Marking: Sapphire is quite different from the standard Lapras. He has a slightly darker and cooler colored blue for his base color. He is lacking in spots over most of his body. However, around the tips of the fins and around his eyes, he has darker blue markings with spots accenting the regions. The markings around the eyes seem more like a simple mask. Shell is a paler color, and seems to have more of a sparkling quality that you'd find in crystal. Eyes are of an unusual color of bright blue, where as the standard Lapras has darker brown eyes. Named based off eye color.
Specialty: Collected Pokemon

Personality: Compared to Aquamarine, Sapphire is a much calmer soul. He doesn't let things get him upset, even if another Pokemon or person is purposely trying to get him angry. Nearly everything will roll off his shell, which makes him a very good companion for Aquamarine (who is quite high strung in comparison). He will take the blame for things that are not his fault, for such trivial things aren't all that important.

Story: Sapphire was once a part of a large clan of Lapras with crystalline shells. They were native to Snowpoint City because their shells matched the ice shards in the coastal areas. He was a young adult that was nearing the age of finding a mate and starting their own clan. However, before he could arrange anything of the sort, he was captured by Lapis' aunt while she was on a business trip while he was resting on the shore. Once Lapis' aunt returned from her business trip, the Lapras was given to her niece. Sapphire was a going-away gift, so he was soon going to be going on a new adventure.
