I don't have a Grottoan yet, so would any OC be interested in exchanging blows with me? wink (Me being, uh.... Vance, except Zelda-ized! Lol. *needs to do a sketch for easy reference*)
Vance (or Roderick as they call him in this world) is a wanderer, a former artisan and jack-of-all-trades who's been on the road for years now. He fights mainly with his fists, though toss him anything sharp and pointy and he could probably make use of it. razz

(Lawls I'll battle you vance! As my zelda self! If anyones read or played majoras mask then this will make more sense -my char based off there cool zoras..Majoras mask zoras!!- )
Shini-aka Mars (Odd name right?) A Zora fighter, originally a traveling musician, roaming the seas and the rivers with her troup of zora bandmates. Until one day while traveling by ship they were attacked by a group of pirate gerudo.
Since then she vowed revenge and traded in her beautiful voice for a more deadly set of skills(she hates all gerudo btw). She is swift, cocky, and yet has a bubbly personality. Often very sarcastic, she has learned to love fighting. Her weapons are always staff based..Scythe..Boa..spear..etc.
She likes to keep her opponents at some distance because shes not very big.(Height wise)

"Well, well, well.... what do we have here?"
The golden-haired man grinned, slowly rising to his feet, as a shadow fell upon his crackling campfire. Night had fallen upon the forest, bathing everything in darkness; it was impossible to tell whether friend or foe had entered his little circle of warmth.
The man drew his ragged cloak about his shoulders, eyes searching the darkness. The good-natured smile never left his face, though his gaze flickered briefly to two cloth bundles lying by the fire-- long, sharp bundles.
"What business do you have here, stranger? Come and show yourself."

The light glinted off of her armory blue scales, her shimmery fishlike skin, red eyes scanning through the field of dark trees landing on the golden haired human..A human, quite a rarity. Tilting her head slightly and giving a sharp toothed smile as she approached, his senses seemed keen despite his lineage.
"What business have I? What's wrong human, so territorial you cant share a bit of your fire" mars taunted softly, her voice sweet and bright as she stepped into view of the warm campfires light. "Here, I am shown" drawing her weapon from her back, the large scythes blade glinting a steely color stained a dull crimson along the edge from years of use.
Covered from head to toe in traditional zora armor, a short red cape hooked about her sholders by golden clasps billowing softly against the eerie breeze that began to blow through the dark woods.
'Despite having the initiative roll mars will give her opponent the first strike'-lawls cant attack someone who's unarmed-

 Listen! The dungeon has awakened!  « [ C L O U D I N G F O G ] »
Blitz Description Without warning, cloudy tendrils of mist discreetly unfurl from the bottom edges of the dungeon walls. You don't notice the sudden invasion until the heavy ground mist is lapping at your ankles. A thick curtain of fog quickly slides down the walls, adding to the already rising mist from the ground. Your waist is consumed, elbows, chest, then neck, until the fog, like a gooey hand, folds and creeps over the top of your head. The mist around you swirls, alive, as if secret predators lurk beneath the muddy fog, waiting for the perfect moment to strike.
Roll a [ 11, 13, 14, 17, or 20 ] and you think the shadow in front of you is your opponent, but you strike nothing but air and fog!

"Whoa, whoa!" The man gave a short laugh, holding his hands up as the intimidating Zora drew her blade. "It's not often I cross weapons with a fellow traveler... over a bit of warmth. I would have gladly obliged to share if you had asked!" His voice was light and pleasant, though the fire reflected in his eyes told a different story.
"But if this is what you want..." Reaching behind him, swiftly undoing the bindings of a large bundle, the man slid out a hefty broadsword. Hoisting it to one hand and testing its weight, his lips quirked. A bit rusty... just like me. But it'll do. I'm sure the old merchant wouldn't mind if I, er, borrowed this for a night...
Fog settled into the forest, heavy and concealing. His eyes rose to meet the Zora's, taking in her armor, her strange skin reflecting the blues of night-- and the reds of firelight.
A scythe? What an unusual weapon, something he had never faced before. Everything about her was unusual. Smiling again, the man dropped his sword arm, the weapon's tip pointed at the ground.
"Well, then. Let's let our blades do the talking."
100/100 HP

Mars couldnt help but giggle at his answer, this man human or no was so charming. He had a sweetness to him, but also experience, despite that disarming smile mars was sure he would be a wonderful opponent.
"It would have been no fun if Id simply asked" mars responder cheerily, grin only widening as the fog rolled in and the man drew his weapon, a broad sword, a heavy well built blade, the man must be strong. It would be so fun! "Lets, it will be a beautiful fight my friend!" friend, fellow traveler.
Instead of the fog making her uneasy it only bolstered her confidence, she had no fear of any adverse conditions, even if the thick muck did make it more difficult to see her opponent.
Letting her scythe drag through the dirt for a moment before slashing out with it in a wide arc, stepping forwards as she did. It would be a distance to judge..and with the thickening fog, it simply made things a bit harder.

He heard it before he saw it-- the dangerous hum of metal through air. "Whoa!" Reacting on instinct, the man flung himself aside... and just in time, as steel sliced through the fog where he stood.
Whirling about to meet his opponent, he paused; though the Zora looked fierce as ever, he was surprised to see her grinning cheerfully. In spite of himself, he laughed-- sure, she had just tried to split him in half, but he couldn't resist an opponent who had as much fun as he did!
Sidestepping her scythe and shaking off his cloak, the man swung forwards-- and winced faintly. The sword's weight made his muscles scream; it had been far too long since he trained. But he hid his discomfort behind an easy smile, as he slashed at the Zora. "---So whom-- do I have the pleasure of trading blows with tonight?"

"Tonight my dear human you shall have the pleasure of facing the red goddess Mars! Its so very nice to share this moment with you.." she chuckled gleefully, listening to the blade swish through air, the slight grunt of the man wielding it as he stepped forwards to swing out at her.
Hissing softly skipping back and to the right of the blade, turning so she could face him with a sideways glance. Oh yes..truly the man seemed skilled in his art. "Now tell me good sir, heh fellow traveler. Who is it I have the honor of fighting this fine night?" a hint of curiosity in her voice, mixed beneath the playful tone.
Tucking the scythe in close to her body, dragging it along, marking out a straight line in the dirt right in front of her toes before twirling the weapon above her head, lashing out with a downward strike at the man. She loved making noise when she fought, even if it gave her away, she didnt feel the need to be stealthy tonight. No tonight was just for the fun of it..ahh and if the man died. Well at least shed have a pretty corpse to look at.

Metal skimmed across his arm, tearing a gash in the fabric; the man drew a sharp breath, jolting backwards. That scythe moved faster than it looked-- or rather, the Zora was more skilled than he had expected.
Redness bloomed upon his cotton sleeve; he gave his sword a twirl, eyebrow quirking. "Mars, the goddess of war, draws first blood... how very appropriate." But there was respect in his gaze as he moved, coming up swiftly by her side, angling for an attack through the heavy fog.
"The name's-- Roderick. No fancy titles here, unfortunately. I ain't no god, just a simple man on the road..." The downward flash of his blade reflected a wry smile.

"My dear, saying such things you'll make me blush!" the zora warrior smiled softly, the man was quick enough to have saved his arm. She would surely be given a good battle tonight...
A soft hiss as she felt his blade against her flesh, cold steel slicing across her forearm, across scales as he had found a spot where she wore no armor plating. Drawing away pivoting on her heels as she backed off, thick dark blood dripping slowly to the ground staining the soil with its drops. Both blades had now been whetted their thirst awakened as each was stained with its opponents life, and mars felt a hunger for more herself.
"Roderic, nothing fancy, and yet you don't seem so simple to me 'Oh man of the road'" she smiled at the plainness that veiled a much skilled person, the soft confident tone. Twirling the scythe slowly at her side before switching the heavily bladed weapon to her left hand, twisting the weapon in her grip so that the curved sickle now faced the sky instead of the ground as it was meant to, looking rather awkward in her grasp until she stepped forwards with it. A glint in her eyes and a grin on her face as she slashed upwards at the man.
