well in my school, when we are forming up we usually say cheers for our drumline like:
one says (ususally section leader) : '' i got your drum!'' every one else responds ''i got your drum!!'' we got it of the football team, we usually say it twice or trice.
the other one is:
Section leader says: ''Drum what?'' every one else responds : ''Drumline'' and again we usually repeat it.
does your drumline have any cheers?

We're too 'cool' to do regular cheers like everyone else...but when we play the Hey Song, instead of saying 'Hey, go eagles!' We say, "HEY! GET OFF THE SHED!" Pretty sweet.

yeah i guess you are right, we always think it's kind of dumb but we still do it.
but we have a cheer that we are always proud of...
THE BEER SONG!
we do an accent tap, [^---][^---][^--][^--][^-][^-], then we just say ''BEER'' we do it twice.

Yeah, we have our drum cheers. We can't do one anymore though, because it's inappropriate..psh. Our other one is REALLY inappropriate.
First one, the one we can't do anymore, is called Dansville Sucks. We usually play Dansville's football team, and we have a whole cadence for them. I'll have to type it phoenetically, but it goes something like: Dut-digga-digga-dugga-dut-dut-dut, Dut-digga-digga-dugga Dansville Sucks! We like saying the Dansville sucks part. blaugh
Then, we have the bass drum cheer. We take our three bass drums, and the players of those drums hold them up. Then, the section leader gets to pretty much play a tribal song. It goes: -crazy bass stuff- My balls rattle! -more crazy bass stuff- It feels good! -more crazy bass stuff- Do it one more time! -same thing, faster- My balls rattle! -faster- It feels good! -all of the crazy bass stuff in one- Thank you! -really loud, BOOM-
I love that! It was awesome when I was a bass player last year. Now I sit by and cheer, because I'm a snarey.
People that aren't in the drumline make me mad with these, though. They think that just because they -like- the drumline, they're in it. ..Y'know.. good for them for loving us, but I hate it when people like the trombonists get to hold the drums in the drum cheers. If you're not a drummer, you're not in the cheer. I swear, next year.. if someone plays my snare drum that's not a drummer, I'm killing everyone. MY drum. stressed

i got a few....
I (tenor drummer) play this little sixteenth note thingy on the bottom drum for like 3 measure and then i stop for a beat and everyone in the drumline yells "OUY"
another we have is before we play the cadence we do a measure of taps and then we all chant get on the bus and hit a gawk.
and last the tenor line(my favorite) all have super hero names. Well we call our selves the quad squad... Saving the world from uptight drummers one person at a time. SO we run around before practice and find the drummers and tap them with our sticks. then we yell quad squad...AWAY. *runs away*

we have ton of cheers we even do call and response cheers with the cheerleaders *shudders* but the most annoying must be the 'perc song' our percussionists were undefeated in competition last year and everytime they would get a trophy they would kiss it and sing 'the perc song'
oooooooooooooooooo! I'm a perc your a perc we're a perc and all and when we get together we win the perc awards! Then they would each do their part of the cadience >.<

Does yelling Satan at the top of your lungs until you think your lungs bleed count as a chant? eek
If not at the pep-rallies we make a huddle of circle and are couched to the ground. We gebin to chant DLM really quietly and get louder and raise up into a mosh pit.

the drumline had this thing last year before we marched up.....hard to explain....cant really remember it anyway. sweatdrop
they have other ones up in the stands, but i don't tend to pay attention to them ((i have a lot of beef with a lot of the people in drumline.....))
i do like how they add insults to the end of the cheer we have to do with the cheerleaders.....

of coarse you have to love the insult of the cheerleaders. I mean what fun would football games be if you couldn't watch knuckle heads beat the pudding out of each other and make fun of the dumb blondes while playing music. Its the best part about marching season if you ask me.
