Following his normal routine, Sumati was taking his morning stroll in the jungle. It was his way of getting charged up for the day ahead. Sometimes, like today, he'd go as far as the border of his home.
He wasn't looking for anyone, or anything, in practicular, just passing by. He walked at a slow pace, which was rather unusual for the hyperactive cheetah. Rather, he was enjoying the song of the birds, up high in the trees, and the soothing sound of the water of the numerous springs the jungle held. So entranced by those sounds, he barely noticed where he was going, relying more on his ears and sense of smell than on his eyes.
And it took him by surprise when a soft breeze blew an unfamiliar smell his way. He wasn't expecting to meet anyone this early in the morning. He halted and tried to locate this other early bird.

"Ow....Ow.....Ow.......Ow......OW!!!!" each word came out just after a small smack or thud. Finally the little female cheetah fell into the open area gasping for air.
"Owwie owwie owwie!" She whined out moving her paws to rub her nose. Her eyes where starting to quickly fail her during the day now witch it scared her. At first she just couldn't see certain colors now a few times a week all she could see where blurs.
She took a a deep breath before standing up and shaking herself off. "Mmm...Now...where am I?" She said softly before looking around her still just seeing blurs. She blinked her eyes trying to get images to appear more clear.
She then sniffed the air a little as she began to back up her tail moving between her legs. She grew scared with from this new scent.
"He...hello?" She spoke out.

Sumati edged backwards as the noise came closer. He couldn't tell if it was a large animal but he didn't want to take any chances. He was surprised when a female cheetah, around his age probably, entered the clearing. 'Was she making all that noise?' He wondered.
Remembering his manners he stepped forward again to greet her. Strangely enough she didn't seem to notice him. He stood still for a few moments wondering what to do. It was an unfamiliar situation for him. He wondered if something was wrong with her eyes or she was just ignoring him. Those suspicions were quickly swept away as she spoke. 'There's definitely something wrong with her eyes.'
"Hi." He spoke and stepped towards her slowly not wanting to scare her or anything. He figured there was a chance she would see him better if he was closer. "Are you okay?"

She blinked a few times before letting out a small laugh. "Phff! Sure I'm fine." She said as she sat down pawing at the air like her running into things were nothing to worry about. She then chuckled a little before taking a deep breath.
"Just seeing how sturdy the tree was that's all." She said as she put her paw out to pat the tree but it never connected as she reached farther but still nothing as she fell over onto her side with a hesitant laugh. She jumped up almost right back into place but sadly when she did so her head connected with a low tree branch as it snapped and fell on her she covered her head and screamed out.
"No not the tree rain!" She yelled before going silent just feeling the one branch before it landed with a small thunk beside her. "Well...that was...eventful." She said before she laid out on the jungle floor panting a little.
"To much work need rest." She muttered out.
