Ibtisam was trying to meet more of the Achana members. She'd met quite a few during her time here but had become more and more focused on Toh Ni and Huang as the weeks and days went by. The ruling pair had held her heart and it was only once she'd been assured she held theirs in return, become the third part of a trio of mates, that she'd turned her eyes outwards again. The Achana family was bigger than just her own mates! Time for her to find more of their brothers and sisters. In her own simple logical way, she'd decided who she should know better first. Isikali was her dear friend but her three young sons she didn't know so well yet. She'd helped babysit them once or twice but beyond knowing their names and watching them play for a while...It made sense to her anyway, as she sought out the small cheetahs.

Sumati was having a rather normal day. He had played tag with a few of the other youths in the Achana and later had visited his favourite spot in the jungle. He had shown the spring only to his leopard friend Lulua, and it still bothered him a little that someone else knew of his secret get-away spot. But considering that she was a rogue, there wasn't much of a chance of anyone learning that bit of information from her.
Rested from his morning of running around chasing his friends, Sumati was aimlessly wondering around. He didn't have anything special in mind, he wasn't feeling especially creative today. That is why he was very happy when he spotted Ibitsam. He didn't know her very well, even though she had babysat them a couple of times. He hadn't seen her for a while, but he remembered her as a very pleasant lioness. He headed towards to her, calling her name:
"Hi, Ibtisam! Nice to see you!"

"Heya Sumati! Nice to see you too. Having a good day?" Sam greeted him enthusiastically as she always greeted everyone, believing that everyone deserved at least a smile and a cheery hello. The cublike lioness, for Sumati, smiled warmly. He looked bigger every day, the young cheetah. And she'd been hoping to find him or his brothers and here he was after just a little bit of searching. Now that was good luck. Huzzah!

"Yep. Nothing out of the ordinary." Sumati replied with a smile. "Everything's okay, just playing with the guys and wandering here and there." It was great being a kid. No responsibilities, just having fun all day.
"How about you? I haven't seen you for a while, what have you been up to?" He asked casually. "If it's okay to ask." He quickly added, not wanting to sound like he was being nosy. He did like to know what was going on with his friends, but he knew when to stop.

"Having lots of fun I hope." She said, thinking how easy and fun life had been as a cub. Of course for her life was still simple and sweet, the few complications good - but she did have more work to do! Hunting as well as playing.
"I've been spending so much time with Toh Ni and Huang....my dear mates." Sam said with a grin. Oh she loved them both, truly! It was her pleasure to bring a bit more joy to their lives and considering they ran this place, she figured they well deserved it. "When you're older, you'll know how wonderful it is."

"Every day is a new adventure!" Sumati grinned thinking how he and the other cubs loved to play in the jungle and imagine they were a part of their favourite stories and legends. There was never a dull moment.
Sumati was surprised about this new information, but happy for her none the less. "I didn't know you were mates." He didn't even know people had more than one mate. But considering how young he was it was no wonder.
"I hope I will. And I wish you and your mates stay this happy always." He gave her his warmest smile. Everyone deserved to be happy, especially someone as nice as Toh Ni, Huang and Sam.

"Thankyou. I'll certaintly do my best to make sure our leaders stay happy always." There were those who won the favour of their rulers for selfish reasons, for higher ranks and nobler stations in life - but while Sam's reason was just a touch selfish (that it broke her to see either leotah or lion sad, she hated being sad herself and she knew she could cheer them) it had not crossed her mind that it might have changed her rank. It hadn't even been mentioned.
"I love how in the Achana we can all just get on with each other. Now, speaking of adventures, wanna see a really cool place? It's mine. I thought I might give it to you and you can share it with your brothers if you want." She chirped.

"I'm sure you will. Hey, don't forget to make yourself happy, too." Sumati winked at her. His first impression of her from his early days was correct. She was a good soul, all smiles and positive attitude.
"I can't imagine it any other way." Sumati admitted. They were all one big family here. He hadn't the slightest how life was beyond the borders of the Achana, though he realised not all creatures were that friendly.
"Cool!" He said excitedly."I'm in! Lead the way."

"I'm nearly always happy. And okay...tag!" Sam bapped him lightly on his shoulder and dashed away from the younger cat playfully, leading through the trees. While she was born a rogue on the edge of the Pridelands, she had the very best teachers in junglelore, and she was good at getting around. But she made sure her cheetah friend wouldn't end up too far behind - while speedy, the cheetahs had it the toughest in the thick undergrowth after all!
She stopped by some vine and moss covered rocks, turning to meet him, like a cub at play.

"Good for y- Hey!" Sumati laughed and dashed after her. "I'm gonna get you!" He maneuvered between large roots and thick plant life. Having grown up in the jungle he was better than other cheetah at navigating trough it, but he still couldn't use his full potential here.
He made a brief pause a few feet away from Sam, enough to make a nice jump, and launched himself at her.

With a giggle and a grin, Sam happily went with his pounce. A little playfight never did anyone any harm and Sam, for all her experiences, had yet to see a real fight truth be told. Even when Huang had 'fought' off that poor friendly Alamar fellow when she'd last been in season, he'd just done it by beating him with determination and a game of pawstones not a real fight. Not that then her then-friend had 'won' anything himself so to speak afterwards.
"I give in, I give in!" She cried, after a while. "Wanna see the secret now?"

Sumati backed down from their playfight panting, but happy. he had a feeling she let him wind and it wouldn't be a surprise if it was indeed that way. However, being the boy that he was, he would never admit that a girl had beaten him. Never mind that she was older and bigger.
"Yes!" He grinned. "I can't wait." He said, jumping up and down. The chase and play-fighting had gotten him a little hyped up.

Sam stood back and, raising her eyebrows as if to say 'cool, huh?' she pulled back the vines from a small enterence. In the mossy rock there was a tunnel, going some way into the earth. Because of how all the rocks were piled, held together by the moss and tree roots, shafts of golden sunlight could be seen every now and then along the tunnel. She let the vines fall back and because of what kind of vine they were, they were so thick and smelt so strongly of greenery that you'd never even know the tunnel was there.
"It ends someway in, in a round dry-den. I don't need it since I tree with my mates but I thought you youngsters might like it as a sort of club house. We adults will have to know where it is but I'm sure no one'd come down unless they really needed to."

Sumati was grinning so widely, he looked like his birthday had come early. "How did you find this place?" He asked and stuck his head in the vines to get a better look at the tunnel. "It's perfect!" His voice was muffled from the vines. "I have to show this to Bhek and Jaali!" He traced every inch of the tunnel with his eyes, talking more to himself than to Sam.
The cheetah pulled his head back and looked at the older lioness with a curious smile. "No, really, how did you find it? I must have been here a thousand times and I didn't even think there might be something there." He motioned towards the vines with his head.

"I may have accidentally tumbled into it. Or I may have been so smart I noticed it when no one else did." She joked, not feeling that embarrassed to admit that she had literally stumbled onto a great find here. Sometimes luck threw you something good like a free meal or a good den. And if you had to trip over your own tail to get it, eh....Sam wasn't one to complain. She just smiled as she watched the cheetah look into his tunnel.
"I even have a spare fur you can have. Shall I do fetch it while you explore inside?"
