Emma kissed her mother and father good-bye as she climbed on her personal tour bus. She looked out the window as tears started to flow down her cheeks. She had never left the town she was born in and now she was going on tour with some big name rock band. She waved until she couldn't wave anymore. She saw her parents walk back into house as she left the street which she had always lived on. The tears started to flow more freely now. Her parents had gotten her two going away presents...a black zune with all her favorite songs on it and a cell phone so that she could text her friends and call anyone she wanted. She curled up in her seat and instantly fell asleep. It was a fitful sleep and she realized that she had a bed in the back of her tour bus. She got up from her seat and collapsed on the bed.

Emma woke up as she heard car horns honking in the long tunnel from Jersey to New York City. She hadn't known that she had slept that long. Tennessee was a long ways from Jersey. She looked down at her phone and saw a few text messages from friends wishing her the best of luck and if she came to Tennessee to do a concert that she would stay with them. Emma smiled and texted back that she would give them free tickets to see the show backstage of course. Her friends replied back with sounds good and wished her luck again. They were in school at this hour so they couldn't really spend a lot of time texting her. Emma looked out the window when the tears started to flow down her rosy cheeks. She didn't know what this tour would be like. All she knew was she missed home already and wanted to go back. She hadn't been out of her home state much. When they got through the tunnel, she looked at the city. It was huge. She was sure to get lost in the city. The bus pulled up in front of a big arena and her driver told her this was where the concert would be tonight and that she was the opening act. Emma pulled herself together and asked where they could get something to eat. The driver smiled and took her to a local bagel shop. He got out and ordered her food and brought it back to her. Emma gobbled up the bagel and thanked her driver. The driver told her to get some sleep in the back that it would be a long night. Emma cuddled up in the back with a stuffed animal her friends had gotten for her.

Emma's manager came to her a few hours later and told her the show should start soon. He handed her an outfit and told her this was what she was wearing tonight. It was a bit more revealing than her last one, but reluctantly Emma put it on. It was a nice fit and it did show her assets off. Emma smiled and hurried out of the bus. She could see the fans already gathering. They weren't for her though. She was just the opening act. They were here to see The Green Hair Boys. She couldn't believe she was opening up for the most popular rock band of her generation. Emma looked to find her manager and he quickly found her. He ushered her to the stage and told her to knock em dead. Emma smiled as she started to sing her favorite song that she had wrote herself. At first it was timid and she knew no one could hear her. As the fans got riled up more, she became more confident and her voice came out. The entire crowd hushed as they awaited her next notes coming from her. The crowd couldn't believe that she was a seventeen year old girl from Tennessee nonetheless. Emma relished in her moment.

Emma was on cloud nine. The concert was a huge success even The Green Hair Boys said so. She was so happy. Her dream was finally coming true. She hoped on her bus and saw the note. She read it and smiled. She collapsed on her bed and smiled the biggest smile she ever did smile. She called her parents and friends. They congratulated her and told her that they had watched the concert on television. Emma said good-bye and instantly fell asleep.

Emma awoken the next day on the road. She went up to the front and found the note. She smiled at the note and sat down to have her breakfast. Emma had eggs, sausage, and biscuits with gravy...her absolute favorite breakfast of all time.

The tour bus pulled up to their next concert. Emma was excited. She wondered if she would receive another note. She had gotten two in one day. This mystery guy had her interest, but she had to focus on her career first. Guys would come and go on the tour or so her friends had told her. She was famous now...guys were going to start liking her. She walked into her dressing room and found yet another note. She read it and prepared for the show to start. The show started and Emma sung her heart out. The audience cheered the entire time. Emma bowed at the end and headed backstage. To her surprise, some of her friends were awaiting her backstage. Emma ran up to them and hugged them all in one hug. Emma couldn't wait to tell them about the mystery guy. Emma brought them to her dressing room while she changed into something comfortable. While in the dressing room, Emma confessed to them t hat she had a secret admirer. Her friends giggled and said during the summer they're going to come on tour with her if she liked. Emma looked at t hem and said they'd be great unless my mystery guy is with me. They laughed some more and her friends got off the bus. Emma laid down in the back and went to sleep. The tour bus started up and headed to their next destination which was two days away from this one.
