he had been in the hospital because of a third heart attack, he had a tripple bypass surgery, but they were only able to do two, he had hypothermia. after he got out of the hospital, he was transfered to a nurcing home, where they changed his pills, and his diabeties insulin. i know that he is doing better, and will always be with me, even though he will not be with me phisically.

Oh, cool m, I am so sorry. Baruch Dayan ha-emet (blessed is the true Judge, the traditional thing to say upon hearing very bad news). We're all here for you at this hard time, and please remember to also look to your network of real-life friends and family for support.

I also highly recommend, if you hadn't already planned to do so, saying kaddish for your father daily, at least for the first week or month; the tradition is to do it for eleven months after the death of a near relative. Since it is only said with a minyan (ten adult Jewish males, at minimum), you'll be surrounded by other people who know what you're going through and want to help. You can ask a rabbi or anyone else to help you learn the prayer if you don't know it, and it will be a credit to you and to your father's memory.

May you be comforted with all the mourners of Israel. I wish I knew something else to say that would ease the ache in your heart right now, but death leaves us all uselessly mute. But know that I am so very sorry for your loss, and I know I'm not the only one here who mourns with you.

תנחומיי

I'm sure your father is in a better place now. Like Divash said, try saying kaddish for your father's memory. And remember that in Judaism, death is not a tradegy but a part of Life, and the good will be rewarded by Hashem as He sees fit.

i appretiate it. i did say a kadish for my dad. i said it on two saturdays ago, at the temple that we go to. i never knew i was supposed to say it every day. we are actually in a conservative temple. our temple is also very far away from us, so we can not always get to it. it is around 40 minutes away. we live in a neighberhood that has very few jewish people.
