First off, I refuse to put this in the Chatterbox / Humor sub-forum for 2 reasons: 1) This is in no way humorous (unless you consider the fact that the man's dog was hungry for "Buttocks" 2) Everyone needs to know about this BS. TL;DR "An Arizona man who has waged a 10-year campaign to stop a flood of illegal immigrants from crossing his property is being sued by 16 Mexican nationals who accuse him of conspiring to violate their civil rights when he stopped them at gunpoint on his ranch on the U.S.-Mexico border." There are thousands of people like him in the same boat within the first 100 miles of the border in AZ. Yet the Border Patrol is more interested in violating the rights of people trying to defend their property rights and not have to deal with the ongoing flood of illegals who crash through their ranches and yards.
I believe the charges will be tossed out once it reaches a judge who won't put up with their s**t as well.
What civil rights? Question one: What country are you currently a citizen of? Question two: How did you enter the United States? Question three: Do you believe that the rights afforded to United States citizens should be afforded to someone who was neither born in the US, nor enter the country legally?
It's a slam dunk.

I'm with Floyd. Just because they're filing suit doesn't mean they'll win. The judge will throw the case out and laugh at those 16 idiots.
Now if they manage to win, I'll get pissed. Until then, it's not a big deal.

This is ******** ridiculous. The dude's in the right; they're on HIS property. From what it sounds like, he could counter-sue them for damages. And it sounds like those damn immigrants just want a quick fix of cash. To quote my character from the play I was in, "the whole thing's absurd, completely absurd!"

I was talking about this with my mom today.
Reminds me of that guy that broke in to someone's house, tripped on the stairs and broke something, and sued the house owner. Or what Sidal did with his airsoft revolver.
I would have just waited until they got closer to the house and shot at them. They are probably being defended by some ACLU zombies (if you've seen American Carol, you know what I mean)
My border control plan would be to execute the coyotes and anyone carrying firearms or drugs on site in front of the Mexicans. Then escort them back across the border at gun point, shooting anyone that tries to run.
Or, form a special division of the Army similar to the one in Battlefield: Bad Company and give their families citizenship

Inquisitor Brock You have the right to stop anyone short of a cop from stepping on your property. Unless he has a warrant or is in hot pursuit, you can stop him too. Also, you guys are forgetting that even non-citizens have HUMAN rights. I do, however, happen to know that if this guy had wanted to, there's PLENTY of desert to bury ten years' worth of illegals in. Being as they were CRIMINALS under a citizens' arrest though, I believe his conduct was completely within his rights. If you run from a cop with a K-9 unit, what's he gonna do, look at you and say "whups, he's gone." or sic the ******** dog on your 'buttocks'? Putting them in Mexican prisons, even if you COULD wrangle a deal with Mexico, is a death sentence in and of itself. You can't keep them in our prisons, they're foreign nationals and we're already overcrowded anyway. We can't support 15 MILLION additions to the prison system. Chucking them back over the border is the only thing we CAN do. Okay, I guess we could keep them in our prisons because they broke our laws, but still... FIFTEEN MILLION. Needs a bit more than Tent City. Personally, I think they need to change the citizenship requirements so that in order to be born a US citizen, your parents have to have a legal reason to be in the country at the time of your birth, whether it be a vacation, a student visa, or a legal immigrant who is either working on or has obtained citizenship. Anchor babies piss me off.

But they would probably just figure out a way to jump those fences anyway...
