And I can't help w/ the issue because I am so boring this winter. Nothing going on for me but filing personal paperwork and balancing my checkbook.

So why are you plumb out of ideas?

I too have been boring. x) Yet now I should start to have something interesting to gibber again. Illustration assignments and so on - subject: drinking songs. biggrin
PostPosted: Thu Feb 12, 2009 3:30 pm

I'm sorry I've been boring too. crying It's been kind of hard to spend much time here, since I'm still staying at my brother's and I don't get to use the computer as much as I'm used to.

That should change soon, though, as I'm looking for my own place. 3nodding

Hund, you get to illustrate drinking songs?? I totally want to see that!

I also want to see illustrated drinking songs. Oh! And are you taking requests? If so, I think one of The Night Patty Murphey Died would be fun/gross. lol

Tris, I was thinking of you this afternoon and interested in an update on your Mom's health.

My Dad's 2-year anniversary of his cancer removal check-up shows absolutely no re-growth and completely normal and healthy organs in his whole abdomen. Woot! biggrin That is a relief!!!

Ok. Well. Happy Friday everyone! This one's a big one! heart heart heart

Hey Trisquit! What is it like staying at your brother's? Is he married w/ a family or a more convenient bachelor? What I'm getting at is: are there rug-rats (aka nieces & nephews) around to distract you from us? wink I don't mean that in a guilt-inducing way. I mean: "Gosh it's fun to hang out w/ loved ones!"

Can you tell that my nephew hasn't had much time for me this month?!? xp biggrin

I definitely have less time for Gaia when I'm at my folks' house. When I'm home I can do what I want. That's ok. When I'm home they are harder to talk to ~ given that I use my cell phone's free long-distance for any conversations.

& Schutzhund, what is your current living situation?

There is tens of songs, easily over fifty. I think I'll do something like 20 pics. Luckily size is small. Its published by Helsinki University's Humanist faculty. Most of songs have rearranged lyrics that they've made over the years. I think its better for now not to take any requests, there is so much work already. biggrin

My work will be paid in tequila shots. wink

onecoolmule, I live together with my spouse and our cat. My twin and younger brother live in same city too.

Sharnie1 Congrats! I know how big relief that is for a family.

Eirwyn has been very busy with Graphics Design classes this semester--she has:
--Graphics Design II (with a lab class)
--Computer Graphics II (which is learning about Photoshop)
--Typography
--Illustration

And the first class on that list just began a new project...design a logo for a real client! They have a non-profit organization to help promote with a handsome logo. smile

On top of that, Eirwyn has been sick this week. So this is the first time in over a week Whatsit & I will be let out to have a bit of fun.

I started working on the comic again... It's slow going right now, but I'll work as hard as I can to finish it before the summer. hehe... Christmas in JUNE! teehee...

@Sharnie: Glad to hear about your dad! That's awesome news. Did he have to go through chemo/radiation, or did surgery take care of it?

Mom's doing okay. I have to take her to Portland on Monday for a minor surgery on her arm for carpal tunnel. She still needs a somewhat major back surgery, but that won't happen for at least another year, until her hip is completely healed from the hip replacement. We'll all be glad when the darn surgeries are finished with; she's had like 4 of them in the past 3 years. >.<

@onecoolmule: My brother is married with a 1 year old son. (and two dogs and a cat...and fish and turtles...lol) I LOVE my nephew, he's so adorable, and I'm always glad to be the free babysitter when they need one. xD Other than that, though, I really need my own personal space. It is cool to be with loved ones, but I miss the freedoms of having my own place. And I'm sure they're ready for me to be out of their hair as well. sweatdrop

I am glad about my Dad's report!!! He did not have chemo. Not even the little "chips" that they sometimes use. It was just on his kidney. They took the whole kidney, however, because they could tell that it wrapped around, but they couldn't see (beforehand) how far. Turned out that it shocked even the surgeon but its size. But it was all out safely, arthroscopically (which means super small therefore less complications and less chance for infection and easier healing), without leaving any traces behind. That's why this report was clean. biggrin heart

@ Schutzhund: I completely forgot to ask for a report on your Mom's heart. And did I know you are a twin?!? I can't believe I would have forgotten about that! My sister and I are not twins, but we look so much alike that people often think we are. In fact, one of my college friends finally broke down and asked why I kept a fancy picture of myself next to my bed. This he asked after knowing me for several months! Uhhh! Not a picture of me; that's my sister! Phewww! At least he asked so that I could deny being so vain!!! lol Does your spouse play on Gaia?

@ Sir Oscar the Bold & Doctor_Whatsit & Eirwyn: Sorry you haven't been feeling well!!! I send you hugs and chicken soup!!!!

@ Gallo: Two words: NO GUILT!!!!! Love you much!!!!! biggrin biggrin biggrin

Ok. Time for more Valentines!

I just wanted to post something because there hasn't been anything new on the main forum page since like, a week ago. Sheesh!

However, I don't really have much to say, so...I'll just say I heart y'all! Cuz I do! =D

lol LOL biggrin Right back @ you, Trisquit!!! And "Ditto" to all you all. . .

So, how are you doing? What keeps you busy?!?

Oh! & why did my Zombie ('08 ) skin all of a sudden start looking grey instead of green?!? Maybe I am just overtired . . . or maybe I really am in the process of decomposing! Ewww!!! Gross!!!

Your skin looks green to me, Sharnie. o_O Maybe your monitor settings were tweaked?

What's keeping me busy right now is work, and making the 200 mile trip to Portland (and back again) on my days off to see my mom. It's about a 4 hour drive each way, if I speed (and I always do xD) She gets a pacemaker on Monday, and if that goes well, it's the end of her surgeries for a while. We hope. THEN I should be able to focus on moving out of this house.

After I get my taxes done and my refund cashed, I ought to have enough for my own place, and maybe even some new furniture if I'm lucky! I don't even have a TV! Or a bed! D:
