The moon was full in the sky, it was a red one for some reason, she had never seen a red moon before it was quite an amazing sight. She wondered what made it go such a odd colour. It made the whole land for some reason feel cold. The sky was a crimson colour but thankfully the stars were clearer than they had ever been not a cloud in the sky. The grass was tall and it scraped the legs of the Angeni up to her knees. She was far from a short mare only a little bit smaller than her mother but she felt she still had some inches yo grow until she was fully. She made her way over to her lake, she loved that place but for some reason tonight it felt alien to her. She looked into the black waters and her reflection seemed to glow in it, like the suns rays were shinning on her body. Was she really an angel? she wondered their was still so much about her family and her heritage she wanted to learn about but as it stood she knew near nothing about it. She only knew it was big but if that was so why did she not know anyone else who was appart of it was that just chance. She smiled and slowly shook her head at the thought her locks gently swaying back and forth as she did so. It was cold out but their was no wind it was a peacful night... a beautiful one f you ignored the atmosphere the trees where bare and black because of the winter weather. It was quite creepy but she found herself more curious than scared. She had nothing to dear... god was looking over her afterall.

Cloven hooves seemed to fall idle upon the ground, treading through the tall grass as its dew, soaken blades brushed against him. The chilling sensation alongside nights brisk cold was strangely comforting although a blood red moon adorned alongside a darkened canvas tapestry seemed to stir about a more eerie feeling; an unsettling feeling that churned within the pit of his stomach. The stallion furrowed his brows, exhaling deeply from his nostrils while a wreath of mist lingered in the air before disappating into nothingness. Silently, in the back of his mind, images of the past seemed to come and go- awakening and fleeting quickly while some, as tainted and dark as they were, continued to gnaw at his mind unceasingly. Unfortunately it was that the pains of the past, his foalhood and even months long gone, still chained themselves to his memories. Like his family, Ezrie's own past was something that was complicated, to say the least and even still there remained skeletons locked away.
To think that he could have beheld such a different life than the one he was living if he would have accepted his fathers own proposal for him to join alongside him. The thought had occured more than once with trying to assume who, or even what, he would have become yet there was always a realization that such a thing was impossible, and useless, to ever decipher. With having rid of the demon, that inner darkness inside of him long ago, it was as if he had taken a breath of fresh air- Ezriel had found himself anew and reborn into the world that he had so vigilantly shunned away with a resentful and distained attitude. Yet with rejecting his fathers invitation he had only invited trouble to come further when he had fallen for the fallen Angeni, Nimue.
A simple run in had blossomed into ritual meetings under moonlight and small feelings transformed into sensual and deepend affections for the rather strange, confused mare. She was beautiful, no doubt, but she, in a similiar way like his father, was cursed. But these feelings, these affections were also felt by his own father towards the same mare unknowingly or well, that was before Reaper was the first to know of Nimue and Ezriel. Such was the case with jealousy and despise that the two stallions fought, father against son, for the heart of a mare whose heart remained broken. In the end, Ezriel had lost and was left barely alive- a show that the cursed one, his own father, would not kill his own son. So it was that Reaper's dream of offspring, a bloodline unlike another other, was brought to pass; fallen Angeni's had brought three destructive souls as a testament to the Gods for show and display- a firsthand display of what chaos and misery would plauge the lands that they were condemned to. In the wake of such torment and unbearable loss, the thought of his love with his father of all creatures, led him to give himself away- no, he had conned another mare into being with him which had resulted in unexpected foals. If anything such an act only brought him more shame, deeper anger to take root within his heart and the awakening of an inner darkness long thought to be vanquished. Yet through these trials, these hardships and being separated and even exiled from acknowledgement from his family, he had found his way out of the darkness.
Nimue, his lover, returned to him at last and for once the two were able to express the feelings that, for so long, had been condemned to be repressed. It wasn't long before that Ezriel and Nimue were parents although this time the foals they created were their own flesh and blood- a new feat and a first after having to wait for so long. It was strange to think that he had three daughters, three wonderful girls that were now grown up and were soon to consider finding a suitable stallion to start their own family with. The realization of such a thing felt surreal but it was so- his little girls weren't so little anymore. At the same time Cassiel, his daughter from he and Eponine, now had her own family and Rue, his son, was- well, Rue was still very much Rue.
Time was fleeting wasn't it? It was changing and no matter how badly one desired a moment to stall, such a thing never would come true. It was impossible- a feat which no one could control and at the same time caused each individual to cherish what they had while it lasted. Nothing would be the same, Ezriel thought to himself silently. His whole life was sure to be radically different than the one which he was currently living yet it was one which he would never change nor wish it was any different.
Life was just damn-tastic.
Crimson locks of mane cascaded down toward the ground and through the tall grass as the mutant wandered deeper into the valley. His darkened, almost voidless orbs narrowed slightly while his spaded and spiked tail swayed ever so gently behind him. Adorned upon the spikes were fruits, apples and assortments of other round, fleshy treates which his spikes seemed adaquet for carting around. The need to scower the ground for fallen fruits was a daily ritual, something that Nimue often requested which Ezriel simply obliged to. Not only that but returning back to his mate often lead to unsspected surprises and new inventions such as making hats out of birds with her own horn and even creating strange objects made from bones, feathers and whatever else her mind seemed to construe as proper building material. To say the least, Nimue could appear as one who wasn't all there to the general public but Ezriel himself knew otherwise. Behind that bone mask she wore, there was a mare who he loved, a mare who he would protect unceasingly and an individual of whom he would gladly spend the rest of his life with. That was the Nimue he knew.
Wrinkling his darkened muzzle as his large form meandered closer toward the lake, there was a strange sensation- a smell, one that was unfamiliar, which lingered within the air. The stallion knitted his brows slightly as his pace seemed to slow upon catching sight of what appeared to be another in the distance. Nostrils flared slightly as he intook the scent; strange as it was it seemed ever so faintly familiar yet upon approaching closer he hadn't had the slightest idea of why. For the moment, Ezriel shrugged off the feeling. From what he could see without encouching too close, it was a female- or to be more correct it was a female Angeni. Still there was nothing which rang a bell nor the faintest chord of familiarity.
He could only reason that he was mistaken, something which did happen from time to time. She seemed almost at peace, awestruck by the night or sunken within the confines of her own mind, Ezriel figured. Void of any tension, malice or even foreboding feelings which would have been detected within the surrounding, there was no reason to proceed.
But should he at least acknowledge her? He wasn't sure.
Ezriel himself still remained somewhat reserved, taking care of what he neded to and tending to things of upmost importance to him rather than meddling in the affairs of others. He wasn't extroverted like Nimue nor had the desire to shout a greeting to everyone or anything that passed by. As it seemed that the mare seemed so engrossed in the night, the stallion wouldn't be the one to interrupt her from her train of thoughts. Passing by her, he glanced if only for a moment as he flicked his tail which, as luck would have it, seemed to be a bit too potent as an apple suddenly flew in the direction of the lake and landed with a 'plop' and a small splash.
The sudden realization caused the stallions ears to pin against his head while jowls gritted together. Damnit! This was not what he had intended! Stalling in place, the large stallion stared outward and dared not look back. He was tied in a decision whether to simply just say nothing or keep walking- not paying any attention whatsoever and trying to act as if nothing had happened. Those fish late at night were hellions with jumping about and spalshing, certainly one would reason that it was a fish. But if she had seen it happen-
Pawing at the ground with a restless, cloven hoof, the stallion took a step forward- a small one at first before taking another one.
He only hoped that she wouldn't have even noticed. Small talk wasn't his specialty and even so genuine conversations with others still evaded him- remnants of cold distain and a reserved nature still lingered within him and were prone, once in a while, to surface.
The apple bobbed within the water as if taunting him- mocking him as the moon seemed to cause its sleek shine to luster. Unable to keep from looking, the stallion glanced over in its direction as a small grumble muttered from out of his maw.
"Damnit..."

Terentia was still in a daze, it was funny when she faded into her own world, she was oblivious to everthing and everyone around her. She wondered why the sky was such an off colour. It reminded her of her mothers locks. Was it odd that for some reason this cold night reminded her of her mother. Whenever she was around her mother all she felt was a warmth that was unignorable. Her mother was the most caring and loving person she knew and she had been constantly told she had grown to be alot like her. She felt this was wrong she did not comapre to her mother in any way. Terentia knew she had inherited alot of her father in her personality, she had gotten his confedence and bravery aswell as his determined nature and stubboness. This was the reason that she could never be as pure as Taharial. She is a true angel and Terentia was proud... honnered to be her daughter.
At that moment she heard a splashing noise and it seemed to echo through her mind shattering her thoughts, like the apple caused ripples in the water. Her dark orbs widdened as she looked around to see where it had rolled from and leaving the other way she saw a stalion but she did not get a good enough glimpse to see who or even what he looked like properly. She was not used to meeting others and for some reason this make did not seem like he wanted to stick around. It was a shame really Terentia hated being on her own, she could not stand being away from her family and was actually starting to feel a little lonly. It was because of the environmnet she was brought up in. Her parents and siblings were constantly with her through foolhood and chased after her if she got too far way. She loved to play even as an adult that aspect of her personality had not changed.
Her gaze went back to the apple in the water as she leaned down trying to grab it, however it was proving hard for her go get a hold of it because it just kept bobbing. She looked at it deciding to give it one last try but managed to just push the fruit further into the black waters until she could not even reach it with her mouth anymore. She was being extra careful not to break the apples skin, it was not hers, that was the reason she was trying t get it. With a small sigh she sat up and looked either way before she closed her eyes. A soft white light engulfed her body, soon two leg stood on the edge of the lake instead of four. She had always had the ability to change into a human her mother taught her but because she was half mutant aswell as angeni she could not stay like this for long.
Her two pale feet stepped in the water as she edged closer to the apple grabbing it with her hands, these hands where useful much more so for a mouth. These humans were indeed proving to be interesting creatures to her. The water soaked into her long hair and white clothes. A smile came onto her lips as she climbed out running in the direction of the stalion who was not hard to see. She felt herself tumble slightly not used to her knew legs yet abviously. She gasped as she tried to catch the fruit. For a moment she looked like she was juggling with it but luckily she did not let it hit the floor. She let out a sigh of relief before the patter of two hooved turned into the trotting of four. She was no longer running she was just quickly moving in the others direction.
The snow white angeni soon caught up to him, starting to think this might of been a bad idea, he was a handsome male but somehow he looked sinister. Her mother had told her not to judge people and she was not intending too. She just smiled putting the apple that she had tried so hard to get by his feet to return it, she smiled and looked up at him she was not expecting a thank you or anything she just hoped this would be a offer of friendship. For some reason this stalion seemed familiar to her but she did not know why. That was a question that might soon be answered...

It would seem that his supossed stare lingered longer than he intended as he watched the mare suddenly jolted out from the wakes of silents thoughts, or so he analyzed. It was when it seemed the eyes of the mare had caught his own, Ezriel looked elsewhere if only for a moment, snorting slightly as if to shirk off any desire for interaction while thick, crimson locks wisped about- swaying slightly to and fro as a gentle breeze filtered through them. Although he could easily be seen as rough around the edges, Ezriel did have a heart and wasn't ruthlessly cruel or savage like others but unfortunately such a stereotype was easy to cast over one whose tail and face were construed with black tipped spikes. Such pre-notions and ideas still lived on and were often brought to accusations just as they were in his foal days when it came to Meera, Dante and himself and, perhaps, it was that such views held by others never would cease. But did he give a damn? Hell no. Individuals could think what they want or even say what they wanted to say- rest assured the stallion had heard all possible comments that ones logic could muster. Ezriel wasn't all that bad; although the shards of remnant cold and reserved nature still embedded themselves within him, the stallion had a good head on his shoulders as well as a conscience.
Sullen, near voidless orbs looked back with curiosity. What was she doing? Trying to retrieve the apple that he had so gracefully flung from his tail into the lake? Ezriels brows furrowed slightly at her determination yet it was rather strange. Granted that there were individuals who seemed too innocent and kind for their own good he hadn't expected this one, this mare, to actually attempt to retrieve what he had lost. But, on the other hoof, perhaps it was instinct that was embedded within the Angeni nature. Being half Angeni, the idea of something such as that lodged within himself was strange if not amusing to think that of all Ageni he had perhaps inherited it from Reaper. Before his father was cursed and transformed into what he lived to be, there was a belief that behind the many spikes and spines that rose from out of his flesh, the scars that littered his body and the blood that seemd to weep from each spike, there was a nature- or perhaps it was better to say that there was innocents if only consumed by the hate and rapture that filled his fathers soul.
He had a right to show agression towards the Gods for what they did to him yet, at the same time, wouldn't a prolonging lust for hate and destruction ultimately come to bite an individual in the a** later on? It was a vicious, repetitious cycle that seemed would never be broken. Although exiled from out of his fathers own existance and acknowledgment, Ezriel perhaps would have the damn maturity to break it sooner or later. Whether his father would accept it or reject it, Ezriel wasn't too sure. It was, in all likelyhood, that such an act was to be rejected but hell, he could only try.
Snorting as yet a puff of mist disappated into the air as he focused once again, Ezriel's eyes found themselves to widen. Did- did that mare just suddenly become a two-legger? His jowls clenched slightly before his brows furrowed, knitting together with a complete loss as the now pale face stepped into the water and retrieved the apple, of all things. The stalion stood there, somewhat bewildered and speechless as the mare ran in his direction. That desire to just walk away was strong, nearly tugging at his mane for him to up and walk away but his hooves felt as if they were, for now, cemented and rooted to the ground underhoof. Watching as the Angeni approached and placed the apple by his feet, Ezriel flicked his ears slightly down towards the fleshy, red orb.
"You didn't have to do that, you know," he commented, somewhat low. It was slightly rough around the edges yet far from anything that could be depicted as hostile or brutal- his voice was deep although with a smoothness about it and, at the moment, somewhat contemplative of what had just happened.
Behind him, his spiked tail along with the fruit that skewed through some of the spikes, slithered around his body to the front as a spike plunged itself into the apple and slowly, if not delicately, retreated back behind him. Voidless orbs of black leveled with those of the female- perhaps interestingly enough she seemed void of pupils much like himself which seemed strange. Granted, it wasn't the lack or appearance of eyes that were strange but rather it was that the mare before him bore the same trait. Suspicions seemed to rise somewhat as a front, cloven hoof pawed at the ground while his mind seemed to rummage in thought.
"Thanks."
For the moment he wasn't sure what or how exactly to say it. It was peculiar, truly, but it seemed logical in a way to himself. But at the same time he wouldn't want to ruffle any feathers if anything came out from his mouth. Perhaps she'd say something than leaving this rather strange air between them- although it wasn't bad, it was simply that Ezriel himself wasn't quite the talkative one but it seemed either the female wasn't or perhaps she was somewhat apprehensive given his appearance which such a reaction wasn't a first, mind you.
"I take it your new around here? Can't say that I've seen you around." It was somewhat of a start but a start none the less yet an honest question- he and Nimue knew the area like the pack of their hooves and were familiar or at least know of those who often traversed through the land frequently. But the mare Angeni was unfamiliar to him even though at the back of his mind he swore that there was something about her that struck a familiar chord.
Ezriel wrinkled his muzzle slightly. "You're not related to 'the trio' are you?"

"I know I didnt not have to but I dont know, something told me that it might be a good idea. Things happen for a reason and sometimes you need to just go with it." she smiled politly giving the stalion a small bow in greeting and respet he seemed to be older than her how much she did not know but she felt as if he demanded her respect. Then again everyone did everything and everyone had something admirable about them, everyone special in there own way so using that logic everything needed to be appretiated in her young eyes at least. If that was naive she would not know till she had expereienced life a little more. She looked up into his voids with a gentle glimmer to hers he seemed to intise her attention as much as the night did just a few moments before, he did indeed seem like he fitted in with nature here. His thanks made her chuckle sweetly. At least he was polite, or so it seemed.
"Yes I am new around her, I have only just become big enough to wonder the lands on my own, I however still think I am not yet old enough to travel too far from my old home. I am a little lost to be honnest and I was a little scared by this strange new land... but not anymore! even though you do not know me the fact that at least for now I am not on my own. It makes me happy." she stated and smiled tilting her head the other way to let her locks fall once again, she liked her hair and the fact she had got so many traits from both her parents but they were troublesome at times, she knew he had voids aswell as her but it never clicked to link that fact. It was not because she was stupid she just hadnt met enough people to know how uncommon it was.
"I am sorry I do not know who you are talking about." she stated a clueless look hitting her face she had never heard that expression before even though she had not been tol anything about her family beyond her parents, she wanted to ask but she felt like if they wanted her to know they would tell her. She had never met any other members of her family she just knew it was meant to be big but if that was the case why is it they had never come to see her as a foal?... maybe they were just too busy. "My mothers name is Taharial and my father Joseph thats all I know. she stated with a small smile as she nodded at him hoping that helped him in the question he was trying to ask her.

Crimson brows furrowed slightly while the stallion was left, if only for a moment, to think as he pursed his lips. Things happened for a reason? Yes, or well- to a certain degree of truth perhaps. Things often seemed to happen for a reason but whether it was all entwined with fate, destny or ones own uknown journey seemed sketchy although at the same time it was something that seemed to settle easily with the stallion. Fate itself was a tricky concept. Was it star crossed signs and two results that were bound to happen? One could never be sure. "Things don't have to happen for a reason," he commented, knitting his brows slightly while his spaded, spiked tail swayed behind him. "The world, as well as the Gods, can do whatever the hell they please and whether its cursing you sorely, taking away your lover or striking you down to the point you plead to take your final breath there will always be something else nipping at your heels. But the longer you try and connect the dots with every occurance more you'll root yourself in the past. If you root yourself in the past you'll become resistant, hardened and blindsighted to whatever good is standing right in front of your eyes."
It seemed a bit of a stretch for Ezriel to even believe that things happened for a reason but although he had experienced such things in his past which were connected and led up to the stallion which he had become as well as where he currently was in life it was as if there was some small sliver of him which both believed such a concept. Being one who wouldn't quite admit it to a stranger, the stallion simply stood there for a moment as his lips pursed once again with a small thought.
"Through hell or high water, if you don't survive whatever damn scenario the world pulls you through then you're only a target for more of a beating. It's do or die."
His thoughts had drifted, distracting themselves from the many unanswered and rather puzzling questions that seemed to claw at the back of his mind- seeking restitution and a completion which even a small sliver of an answer could settle well with what he sought. But for now that was unimportant; it would seem that his curiosity was right. This Angeni was a newcomber. It was interesting, really. There had been so few Angeni who wandered through these parts that it not only seemed strange but seemed to cause a slight tense feeling to course down his back, adrenaline coursing ever so slightly with a minute alarm. Ezriel pushed those feelings aside, stuffing them into the darkened closets of his mind rather than letting them be burdensome at an unnecessary time. As the mare answered with slight oblivion and puzzlement pertaining to the trio, Ezriel couldn't help but sigh softly while a small, ever slight, smile slipped across his lips if only for a moment. He couldn't quite imagine any of the trio with a lover, let alone a daughter, so such a finding was quite a relief. Granted, it wasn't his dislike of the trio but it was moreso knowing that sooner or later the trio would certainly attract a wider audience or even followers due to their deeds and rather rogue behavior. The idea of more individuals traversing through the valley where for so long he and Nimue had made it their home was unsettling. Ezriel was the type who liked to be left alone to do whatever he pleased while accompanied by his own family and his mate. Although he was sure that sooner or later the trio would interrupt such moments with ease and begin some deepened argument and philisophical debate.
"If you stick along here long you'll come to know who they are," Ezriel replied while a slightly deep chuckle rose from his chest. "I only assumed since the trio are three Angeni brothers that you might be tied to them given your lineage but seeing no serpent tail, smoke or strange horn it seems that question was already answered." Had he been paying a bit more attention then it would have been clear that she was in no way tied to them but, still, he couldn't help but ask. "Their names are Raiju, Kidono and Duzi- you'll run into them sooner or later." Pertaining to the trio, there wasn't much else to tell or say. Ezriel wouldn't ruin the surprise for her- no, she'd have to learn on her own and meet the trio herself. No doubt would either three of the brothers be interested yet having to cause a stir seemed as if it was engraved within the instincts. They were interesting, a bit unique truthfully, yet each of the three were distinct. How? Again, a surprise that was waiting to be found.
The stallion quirked a brow upward as he pursed his lips. Her mother and father's name? Not that he had asked for it but he was somewhat at a loss.
"Can't say I know them," the stallion commented. There were too many names and faces to put together and with new individuals and foreigners coming and going it was hard to even be able to recognize anyone or even keep names and faces straight. "Its hard to be sure if you know anyone unless their family line is so damn big that you can't be mistaken for certain traits or appearances which are prevalent."
