The G.F.G.L. is the largest genetic filing of all known setinent races in all the universe. However, some data has been lost due to recent Space Pirate attacks, so we are currently repairing this section. However, please feel free to look at the data that is still here. We only keep records on races that are actually around, and races of myth are not archived. These include the human invented Vampires for example, however there are races out there ( maybe, as I we have stated the archives are damaged) that have similar qualities:
Humans- A Simian race that originates from the planet Earth. Lacking any sort of physical defenses, The humans must rely on their intelligence and Technology in order to survive. Brave and Loyal, they are harder to be corrupted by the now extinct Phazon, but are easily corrupted by power and wealth.
Space Pirates- - info of space pirates derived from games and metroid wiki -
"A race that is completely subordinate to a powerful master. Just like worker bees that obey and follow their queen because of a hierarchy. They're a smart species." - Mother Brain
- Origin: from the Space Pirate Homeworld ( We have yet to find out it's official name).
Appearance: Their species has a wide range of morphological variations. In most appearences, the Pirates are seen to be digitigrades, with two toes. They have been seen to have lobster-like claws in some appearances, but ordinary three-fingered hands at other times. Even the arrangement of these fingers varies between two fingers and a thumb to one finger and two thumbs.
Abilities and Traits: Space Pirates have been seen as being able to cling to ceilings to ambush unwary prey and crawl through spaces where Samus would need to use her Morph Ball. They also seem to move faster than the average human as well as being physically stronger than the average human. An important trait of the Space Pirates which has led to several problems for them is their avarice of power and technology. They have been known to tamper with their own genome, as well as other creatures, to create stronger versions of the original, evidenced by the use of Phazon to create the Elite Pirates, Phazon Elite, Omega Pirate, and Berserker Knights and Lords. They also experiment with foreign technology. Successful experiments include the Beam Troopers that utilize Samus's beam weaponry and the use of Federation weaponry on the Elite Pirates. Unsuccessful experiments include the attempt to reverse-engineer Samus's Morph Ball ability, which caused several disfigurations.
Society: Space Pirates, although often vicious and cold hearted, have been known to keep pets, such as gronkats, olbaps, and even Metroids (despite warnings that Metroids are not to be kept as such). This is shown on a Pirate Data scan in Metroid Prime, where they had to dispose of such pets due to phazon madness. There's also a scannable warning to troops that soldiers caught using containment pods for "recreational uses" will be punished.
The pirates are merciless to those who break their rules. There are many posted warnings threatening execution for various reasons, and disloyal militia often end up killed and eaten by their superiors. Several Pirate scan data entries reveal that when a Pirate does not follow orders they are "promply shot." However, they do appear to allow free speech, as in the Prime games (especially Echoes), there are scannable terminals in which Space Pirates have expressed criticism of High Command or Science Team.
They are fairly tall creatures in comparison to many other sentient organisms, and seem biased against shorter beings, going so far as to attempt to murder a young human slave simply for being too short. They also tend to zealously support any causes that will strengthen their race and organization, regardless of cost. They are often, however, quick to panic and flee when things go awry, though also have a high sense of honor, even going so far as commiting suicide once failing a mission. They have high levels of alkaloids in their systems, and that it can be used to track and find them. This may also be a defensive evolutionary attribute, considering that their Homeworld is always showered by Acid Rain.
Technology: Space Pirates have been shown to use various forms of technology. In Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 2: Echoes the space pirates are shown to utilize standard mechanical technology. They have been known to steal technology of other races evidenced by scans taken in Prime that refer to stolen plasma cannons and the turrets in Corruption that are said to be of Federation design which have been modified. By Corruption the space pirates seem to have adopted organic technology as well evidenced by their ships that appear to have flesh on and inside of them and the "eyes" that watch you if you enter the Pirate boarding craft on the GFS Olympus. Space pirates also use genetic tampering to enhance themselves as seen in Prime with the Elite Troopers, Phazon Elite, and the Omega Pirate and in Corruption with the new Hypermode Pirates and the Berserker Knights and Lords.
Luminoth: -indepth info from Metroid Wiki-
"Through vigilance and strength, we create peace." -Luminoth Creed
The Luminoth, like the Chozo, are a technologically advanced race of moth-like beings who have an intense spiritual fixation with light. They are the last of the known Higher races, as both the Chozo and Alimbics are now likely extinct, the former assumed to have nothing more than an Ethereal state of being in the world, the latter being wiped out by Gorea with horrifying speed and are nothing more than telepathic essences now.
According to Luminoth Lore, they were apparently "born between the stars," and were searching for a home planet for a very long time. On their travels for searching for such a planet, they encountered such peoples as the Chozo, and possibly exchanged technologies. In fact, based on circumstantial in-game evidence, it is speculated that the Screw Attack may have been of Luminoth design, which the Chozo then brought to some of their worlds. They finally found Aether, and it was a wonderful oasis to them. They colonized the planet, and made it their own in just a short time.
The Luminoth lived in peace on Aether, until a mysterious meteorite crashed onto their planet which carried extremely high amounts of Phazon. Dark Samus arrived much later to the planet, most likely because it had a need to feed on the Phazon which impacted the planet much earlier. The explosive impact of the meteorite literally tore the planet in two, creating a second Aether, known as Dark Aether. On that planet, the Ing thrived. It seems that all of the Phazon from the impacted meteorite transferred only to the dark version of Aether, as it doesn't seem to appear in Light Aether. When the Ing discovered portals that took them to Aether, they began invading Luminoth territory by possessing several creatures (including Luminoth soldiers and technology themselves). After a near seventy-year-long bitter war of attrition, they had defeated the Luminoth, who retreated into the Great Temple and into stasis tubes upon the order of U-Mos. However, U-Mos stayed awake to fight and pray for salvation.
It was he who guided Samus Aran to power generators located throughout Aether and Dark Aether. Once restoring power to the Luminoth, they were able to defeat the Ing and Dark Samus. Today, the Luminoth live in peace on Aether. It is revealed during the events of Metroid Prime 3: Corruption that the Galactic Federation visited the Luminoth on Aether and helped them clean up the remaining Space Pirate technology and that is when the Galactic Federation discovered Phazon and first began the Phazon Enhancement Device program.
The Luminoth are known to make use of a peculiar three-dimensional written language.
Add-in: Since Aether's Stabilization, The Luminoth have reawakened, and have a treaty with the Galactic Federation.
Brryonians: - obtained from Metroid Wiki, Verified ffrom reading through data scans of MP:3. Race is unplayable due to de-evolution -
The Bryyonians were inhabitants of the planet Bryyo, featured in Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. Little is known of the Bryyonians. At some point, a philosophical rift grew within the Bryyonians, between the "Old Ways" of magic, and the "New Ways" of science. War ravaged the planet, as the primitive tribes of Bryyo hunted down the Lords of Science. These science lords attempted to use Mogenars to defend themselves, but it was not enough. At some point the last Science Lord befriended a young girl of the old tribes. Together, in an attempt to bring a balance to the two philosophies, they left Lore entries similar to the Chozo Lore from Metroid Prime across the planet. Certain references in the last of these lores left behind seem to indicate that this Science Lord and the girl were hunted down by the primitive tribes when an explosion occured at the laboratory. At the time Metroid Prime 3 takes place, Bryyo is mostly deserted with a few roaming tribes of old Bryyonians. They have devolved into the Reptilicus species which is hostile to anyone but each other.
Some Bryyonians have an innate ability to teleport, and most weild a fire whip as their primary melee weapon. It is unknown if this whip is made through their 'magic' or is technological. They also have a ranged attack similar to a chakram.
Chozo: A now extinct race of Bird-like beings, they were far more technologically advanced and intellectually advanced than any other beings in the world, save for maybe the Luminoth and Alimbic. The adoptive parents of Samus Aran and the makers of the Power Suit, they have since disappeared as have the Alimbic. Explorers of the universe and beings of peace, they traveled the universe, seeking and trading knowledge with other beings such as the Luminoth, Alimbic, Bryyonians, and many other setinent beings.
Rumor has it that they had built many power suits in Skytown, located on Elysia, however it is doubted any of them remain intact or usable.
Alimbic: Older, Higher Beings like the Chozo and Luminoth: they have ( like the Chozo) disappeared from this world since their destruction at the hands of Gorea. They used to be a peaceful race, until they were attacked by an unknown race ( maybe the space pirates, it is as stated, unknown), but since that attack built powerful weapons, including bio-weaponry...but Gorea had in the end defeated them.
Aftermath: The Ultimate Power, Gorea's signal to lure victims to unlock it from the Alimbic Cluster, was defeated, and the octoliths and the Omega Cannon, are safely locked away in the highest security of the Galactic Federation. Our thanks go out to Samus Aran.
Phrygisians: The native creatures of the planet Phrygis. They are similar to the Vhozon, in so far as they can also manipulate ice, and are similar in appearance. They can manipulate ice to an extent of being able to use it as a method of flight. The bounty hunter Rundas is a notable Phrygisian, who grew up in the ice mines of Bes III. Assuming all Phrygisains look similar, based on the appearance of Rundas they have long limbs that end in three claws. Their heads are an oval shape and two small dots resembling eyes can be seen. They have small torsos with their long legs ending in flat feet.
Vhozon: - Find an Image Noxus for a picture of Vhozon-
The Vhozons are race of highly intelligent beings who are known for being famous peacekeepers. The Vhozons have high self-esteem and think of many others as being unworthy or criminal. However, Vhozons have contributed much to galactic society. One Vhozon is Noxus, from Vho who appears in Metroid Prime Hunters. They most likely have highly insulated skin, as their homeworld, Vho, is subject to sub-zero environments. An evolutionary adaptation of this species is the Vhoscythe, a spinning secondary form used to keep warm, as well as being used as a weapon.
Diamont: The Diamont were an ancient silicon-based species that looked like rocks in fused with diamonds, hence the name. For unknown reasons they went extinct, and the only remaining Diamont is Spire, a bounty hunter who appears in Metroid Prime Hunters. In fact, the reason that Spire seeks the "Ultimate Power" is because he wishes to learn about the fate of the Diamont species, which can be shown as a caring or curious race. Diamonts have the ability to curl up into a giant boulder to scale walls and attack enemies with flaming plates that can be extended.
Kriken: The Kriken are a ruthless insectoid race of alien beings whom everyone attempts to escape from at first sight. The Kriken have a distinct body style, as their heads seem to be bound to their bodies by no visible connection. They also have a unique crimson-red skin coloring, and apparently have some sort of biological stealth system that causes their bodies to become transparent. This cloaking mechanism is very convenient, as the Kriken race has very fragile limbs. The Kriken run a huge Empire and when one of their species becomes of full age, he/she must set out to conquer a suitable planet for their race to consume as a rite of passage; those who conquer more valuable planets gain more prestige within the Kriken empire and thus are considered heroes, but technology may also be acceptable for hero status. Trace, a Kriken bounty hunter, appears in Metroid Prime Hunters, seeking the Ultimate Power that Gorea used to tempt all the bounty hunters in the game, as means to conquer a good planet with more ease.
The Kriken are a hated enemy of the Galactic Federation, almost as much as the Space Pirates. Any found dead is good news for they may have been scouting for a new planet to conquer.
Shuzoku: - Taken form Metroid Wiki. It should be stated that they have only been seen in the Manga-
The Shuzoku race consists of elf-like humanoids with pointy ears. They are discriminated against by the rest of the Galactic Federation, and, according to a captured Space Pirate, were responsible for the "Species War". Kreatz is the only known member of this species.
Enoemea: An Enoema is an alien species which the Bounty Hunter Kanden was a part of before his genetic enhancements. The Enoema homeworld is currently unknown. Thus far, the only mention of the Enoema race is in Metroid Prime Hunters.
Since Kanden is the only Enoema encountered in the Metroid games, and he has been tampered with genetically, it is unknown whether or not his appearance is typical for the Enoema species as a whole.
The Ing: The Dark counterparts of the Luminoth, The Ing are a warring, ferocious race of beings native to Dark Aether, and are the arch-nemeses of the Luminoth. During the Golden Age of the Luminoth, a stellar object (now revealed as a Leviathan) struck Aether with such great force that it caused a rift in space and time, creating Dark Aether and giving birth to the Ing. After having fought the Luminoth for decades of war, they were on the verge of defeating them, having stolen all but one of their planetary energies, and with all but one of the Luminoth in stasis tubes in the Great Temple. However, after Samus Aran came to Aether, she eliminated their kind by destroying Dark Aether. Since their dark-aligned bodies could not stand Aether's different atmosphere, they were left without a dimension to reside in and collapsed with their dimension.
It is easy to say that the Ing are destroyed due to the destruction of Dark Aether.
X-Parasite: A parasite harbored by the Galactic Federation to study and hopefully use in the war against the space pirates, it was capable of infesting and taking control of living beings, and the Bounty Hunter's Power Suit, due to the chozo technology in it, which were in some cases semi-organic and still had some of Samus' DNA in it. The bounty Hunter went against orders and sent the BLS crashing into the planet below, and we do not yet know of the Parasite survived or not.
It should be noted that the Ing and X-parasite were similar, but the Ing could infest machines which the X wasn't able to, and the ing could infest Metroids, the predators of the X.
