Song birds chirped a sweet melody, the song drifting through the warm air with a relaxing note, on the other hand, a not so relaxed little filly adventurously made her way down by a gentle flowing stream.
The sounds of lapping water crashing lightly against rocks which were heard vaguely, but the sparkling liquid was cool against skin as it lifted into the breeze and splashed against a silky, ivory coat.
"What a lovely warm day! A peeerfect day to search the lands!" sung Neria, a self proclaimed mini princess on such travels to find a prince. This wasn't abnormal, the mutant alicorn usually searched everyday, even nights she would if it wasnt for having to return home so early.
Stopping to observe the emerald glistening lands, she wondered where to go next, the forest where she had come had no signs of anything princely at all! With enthused eyes, she looked down into the small stream that had a reflection staring back rather intently.
"Soon" she smiled, asif to re-assure, dipping a dry muzzle in the stream lightly to quench bubbling thirst.

(( I'll stick his foal tag in later, have to upload it first XD))
Wisp made a mini loop, having finally managed to get off the ground, bobbing far in enough in the air for room for a loop. His small butterfly wings seemed to blur as he beat them frantically but in the end gravity and inexperience won out, and he fell in a tangle of legs on the grass.
Once he'd worked out which leg went where, and was upright he decided to stay on the ground for a while and wandered off in the direction of the stream he had caught sight of when he was performing his aerial acrobatics. He stopped a way from the water though, pausing to look at the other foal. He'd not seen anybody other than his own family so far, and was unsure for a moment. The foal didn't seem like a flutter eating monster after watching for a while and so he went right on over, standing across the stream from the foal.

[No worries ^_^]
Neria had no idea of anyone's presence near by, her mind was focused elsewhere, in the dream world many visited daily, there princes and princesses pranced around happily and others who bowed the royals like jesters made their way around the dancing couples entertaining them; The water, two sky blue orbs set upon was blunt until a golden hoof pushed its way down into the liquid contents, letting the ripples waddle away from the object to safety, a curious, complex expression followed them as the flly tilted her head to the side, letting out a small sigh, jumping up into an upright position and stomping an eager foot down once more.
With a girlish chuckle, her gaze set upon the other at the other side of the stream. "Thats it! Enough time has been wasted I have to continue" She smiled widely... Then the realization hit, and a blush filled her cheeks wildly.
"O-oh! I had no idea anyone else was here! Pardon me, I usually get swept away from reality"
The figure was a colt, and he didn't look much older. So, not so much threatening with his pastel blues and greens that enriched the beautiful visible markings, she took light steps over the stones, almost slipping on one slanted stone, but gained balance, trying too look as elegant as possible. At last two blue orbs fixed on him and light steps took Neria just a polite distance away, bowing her head in respect, the two black-tipped head wings spread out, hanging low like they were also gesturing a bow, before returning back to normal.
"Hello, My name is Neria. May I... Ask of your own?" a soft, but happy smile lit the lips of the filly, glad to finally have company.

The filly (for that was what Wisp realised she was now he was closer), didn't seem to notice him right away, and he wondered if he should cough, or speak or something. He flapped his wings slowly, pondering this deep conundrum. He was saved from having to make a decision, or speak the first word as she finally noticed him, and he gave a smile, his head bobbing a little as he greeted her.
'That's okay,' he replied, his voice quite lilting and high because of his youth. He looked at the filly..Neria as she said, quite unabashedly, curious about the small set of wings that were set behind her ears. That was quite odd - did her head fly as well?
'Wisp,' he replied, realising that time had passed since she asked his name, and he'd still been staring.

The colt looked distracted, like it was behind her that was more important? She kept a smile, and let the name swim in thought before she give a light chuckle. She had decided he was odd! He was too blunt to be a prince... or so she thought, coming to that conclusion.
'Ah!' sprang the filly's mind, watching where his gaze led, then laughed to filter the never ending silence.
"These? Aren't they great! A stranger once called me an eagle, a bit rude to address a -" she paused, maybe she shouldn't tell him if he wasn't of that nature? It would be awfully embarrassing.
The little one gave a cough, then spoke again, whilst swiftly turning to walk along the the waters edge. "You have a wonderful name Wisp, want to join me?" she asked, eying the contents of the water. ' If anything, at least he will be able to help me on my travels'

The filly seemed very mercurial in temprement to him; in fact she reminded him a great deal of his mother, seemingly unable to be fixated on one topic for any length of time. Maybe all fillies were like that though? He didn't know as he'd only got brothers.
'Well eagles are good birds aren't they?' he offered, before letting loose a chuckle as she suddenly changed the subject. He, after all, looked a great deal like a butterfly and wouldn't mind the comparison in the least bit.
'Thanks, my mother named me it.' he glanced at the water that she was eyeing. 'Join you doing what?' he asked.

"Hmm I never thought of it that way!" she chuckled, flicking the two orbs back to him. Perhaps being like mother natures creation wasn't a bad thing at all. Nature was beautiful... 'Was that an indirect comment?' She blushed a little at that thought; So this colt did speak good sense after all. She perked both ears, questionably before a set of chuckles escaped the little filly's lungs.
"Silly! Joining me on an adventure! I'm trying to find something, it'll be fun! I could use the help" she sighed, lightly. "So far, I haven't had any luck, which is a pity really" with a very dramatic aura, the filly almost pulled off looking disappointed before springing instantaneously back into a motivational stance, grinning wildly whilst trotting on the spot. She had gain such technique from her father. He always seemed to do it so it couldt of been a bad thing.

It was the first time Wisp had taken the time to notice it, but the filly had what he thought very strange eyes. They seemed almost black more than any colour, though he could see blue as well. They gave off kind of an endless feeling.
Silly? It was a good thing he was too pleasant to take offence at every offhand remark. He wasn't a psychic foal, so could have had no idea what she meant by 'joining' her.
'Adventure? Isn't that something you do when you grow up..don't we just 'play'? he replied in a slightly cheeky fashion.

Neria paused and brought her gaze back to his, turning her head so the sleek bangs of black and red whisked around her neck. "Just... Play?" the words swirled around her mind, and she had never thought about 'just playing' it had always had to have some interesting spark or wasn't it just pointless? Her head tilted and she laughed a little. "An adventure is fun! Isn't that just as good as playing?" she asked it, also questioning the meaning.
As a curious foal she looked over him one more time and turned letting the long tail sway left to right making crisscrosss shadows along the moist terrain. "So are you coming with me?" she smiled sweetly, peering through the curtain of strands with one skyblue orb.

Wisp wondered what was wrong with 'just playing'? After all, he had the most fun when he played hide and seek with his mum amongst the flowers..being able to shrink down certainly had its advantages!
'I suppose,' he nodded, not wanting to argue with the filly. Besides, it might very well be fun. 'Where are we going then?'

That was a good question, where were they supposed to go? It was a funny thing, an adventure, you had no boundaries and an endless canvas to explore however it wasn't as easy as to just think that. Scanning the area, an endless landscape of tree's and soft flowing water ran through like an easy route to follow, but she didnt want an easy route. That would be no fun. Then there was a small entrance, through a bramble bush. Sure there were thorns, berries and they wouldn't come out of this completely clean.
"Lets go through there!" Throwing her head aside, signaling the dark whole in the midst of an endless flurry of leaves, she flashed a small testing smile. Would he follow through there with her? If a girl could do it, he should make an easy task of it.
"So, tell me a little about yourself?" it was any sort of distraction whilst approaching the small death trap, with its twisted vines and poisonous berries, of course the berries were harmless and quite delicious in its nutritious juices but, ones mind had to think outside the box. She pulled up a leg, pressing hard against one of the vines so it was pinned lifelessly to the floor; otherwise, she was actually curious of this stranger.

And after all that it, she seemed to not know where their adventure was even to start. He didn't say anything though, merely watching as she looked around the immediate area. He looked at her briefly when she had decided on their route, and sized up the opening, eyes taking in the thorns. He would have to shrink if they were going through there, not because he was scared of pain but because his mother had told him that a torn wing would set back his flying lessons, and he wasn't about to damage the delicate membrane for anything.
'Okay,' he said, as they approached the twisting branches of the thorny bush. 'What did you want to know?' he replied as he tapped into the power that enabled his kind to alter their size and slowly shrunk, his winglets whirring as he hovered a small distance from the ground.
