The room had gone black. No. Blacker than black. It was darkness. There was nothing. Joshua shivered, he didn't know where he was. He'd never been in such a place.
The scene was slowly changing. A field was appearing; full of flowers. The night sky held a yellow moon and blue glowing stars. The flowers seemed to be slowly opening. "Welcome," They were saying. "Welcome!"
Okay, talking flowers.. So maybe he wasn't on Gaia. The boy looked up to see something huge; something golden fly over head.

The ground felt soft beneath her paws and the flowers chorused cheery greetings. Galleai recognized the feel of this dreamer, she had been in his dreams before. Fairy-tales, she recalled as her tail twitched slowly and her little pink nose scented the breeze.
It had been a long time since she'd seen this dreamer but it had been so nice last time... "Hello?" Galleai called out eagerly, padding through the field of flowers.

Joshua thought he recgonized a voice amoung those of the flowers. He hadn't heard from Galleai in a long time; though he had kept the memory in a safe place in his heart. "Galleai?" He asked, trying to catch a glimse of familar form of the large white cat. He walked through the field, looking for his friend.
When he caught sight of her, his face broke into a bright smile. "It is you!" He said, happily. "I knew I'd see you again!" In his delight at seeing his friend, he almost missed the golden dragon landing in the middle of the field.

Galleai was romping playfully towards Josh and purring with pleasure when the golden dragon landed. All her hair stood up and her tail puffed to twice it's normal size. She hissed a little. Realistically she knew that a dragon was no danger, dreamer's dragons tended to be benign more often than not. But it didn't mean the sight didn't give her goosebumps.

Joshua turned to look at what his friend was upset about. "Wow, a dragon!" He said excitedly. He'd always wanted to see a dragon. "Do you think it's a nice one?" He started heading towards it.
The dragon moved her giant head, so her green eyes were looking at Galleai. "There's no need to fear, little one." She said, in a musical voice. She didn't seem to be moving her lips; she just spoke. "I have been sent here to find you,"

"Oh!" Gal said, hiding behind Josh's legs and peeking out at the beautiful creature. It looked like they were in for another adventure! "Find us for what?"

The dragon gave a gentle laugh. "You will see," She said, looking at the two. She moved her leg so Joshua could climb onto her back.
Josh smiled. "I've read stories like this," He told Galleai, mounting on the dragon's back as well as he could. The dragon was so huge that Joshua seemed tiny in comparison.

"Hmmm..." Galleai said, twitching her tail. She didn't think she could sit the dragon's back very well as a cat. So she was suddenly a girl and clambering up behind Josh. As often happens in dreams, her shape-change just seemed to be a part of the fabric and nothing exactly out of the ordinary. Putting her hands on Josh's shoulders to help her hang on, she grinned. "Are we going on an adventure, then?"

Joshua blinked in surprise at Galleai's change. Though, compared to the dragon he was sitting on, that seemed perfectly natural. He looked over his shoulder to smile at his friend. "We're going on another one," He said, taking hold of the dragon's spines in front of him.
The dragon took off, being careful not fly too fast as to scare the young ones. It landed carefully in what looked like the courtyard of a castle.

Galleai had clutched Joshua tightly for the brief flight, not wanting to fall off. Even though she knew she could fly herself in the dreamlands if she wanted to, she'd still rather not fall and ruin the feel of the dream. Josh's last dream had been so much fun, she was pretty certain this one would be as well.
"It's pretty!" She exclaimed, peering around the courtyard from atop the dragon's back. Gal wasn't quite sure what the best way of sliding down to the ground would be.

Josh slid down the dragon's tail like a slide, and looked at himself. His clothing had changed. Instead of the Cars pajamas he'd been wearing, he was dressed like a prince. He smiled, and looked up at Galleai.
"Need help?" He asked her. The dragon put her head to the ground, making her neck like a staircase.
"Just be careful around the eyes," She told Gall.

As Gal took Josh's hand her plain white nightgown transformed into the gown of a princess, all purples and blues and whites. She smiled brightly at him as she descended from the dragon and looked around. "Oh, this is going to be fun, I think." She said, winking at the dragon.

The dragon returned Gal's wink, before taking off. "Take care, little ones." She flew towards the sun.
Joshua smiled at Galleai, "You look.. beautiful," He said, hesitantly, looking around the courtyard. "I don't know any of these people. Do you?"

Blushing a little at the compliment, Gal shook her head. "I don't know any of them. "Do you know what we're supposed to do? I wonder if it's another curse." She peered about the courtyard. Their arrival on dragonback hadn't gone unnoticed and people were starting to approach, some of them staring up into the sky at the quickly dissapearing speck that had been the dragon.

Josh nodded, "Maybe." He said, looking at the people approaching. "Maybe they know what we're supposed to do?" But the people were staring. "Prince, Princess!" They were saying. "You've finally returned!"
They took the two children by the hands, and led them inside the castle. Joshua turned to give Galleai a confused look.
