Didn't exactly answer my question. When you breed in hopes for alts, can it be two non-alts? An alt+non-alt? Or does it just have to be two alts?
For example:
I just breed three pairs of non-alt black dragons. Could by chance one of those eggs be an alt?
While it is possible to get an alt from an alt breeding, the first alts were from pink and purple mothers and black or vine fathers. In response to your example, any of those eggs could be an alt. You won't know until they hatch. Since you can only keep one from each breeding, most of us hope for single egg clutches so we don't have to choose which one to keep. If you have multiple eggs from a single breeding, remember to choose one before the first hour is up. If you don't, the new procedure will abandon them all for you.
