Savith sat on that flat rock between the pool at the base of the waterfall and the ocean, in the shade of the cliff. The top part of his uniform, which had been cut free some time ago, sat folded by his side. A length of silvery rope lay coiled on his other side, the waterfall side of the span of flat rock. His legs were slightly splayed, and he sat hunched over, fiddling with something silvery bright and made of metal. An errant curl danced in the seawind in the middle of his forehead as he worked. Between his ankles, sat his backpack; the top flap was open and its contents sorted through. A black leather trifold case sat on the very top, opened to expose tiny bits of the bright metal, of varying lengths and shapes.

Dancer could for some reason not stand to see Savith sit alone. She felt if he was alone chances were good he was beating himself up over something from his past. She had been good in not using her powers so often as was asked of her and felt some pestering of Savith would be a nice reward. "Cool breezes to you our Chief." Her tone happy as she giggled softly.

"Clear skies," Savith replied cordially without looking up from his work. The shiny, brightmetal talon whip lay, quite literally, in pieces on the stone between his thighs and knees. He was holding the still closed claws with one hand, holding the opened handle still, while with the other, he contined pulling out parts and setting them aside.

"Taking good care of your weapon are you?" She came to plop across the pool from him. She didn't want to be a bother. At least not close enough that he could reach her. "I made a spear but weapons aren't my skill so it flys poorly and sticks only now and then." Again she chuckled. She was feeling in a silly and happy way. It showed all about her.

Savith seemed to be struggling with a particularly stubborn part, as evidenced by the skipping pauses in his speech, "I'm trying, to get it, to work, again. Ah!" There's a sharp click, the sound of metal scraping on metal, as Savith reacts his right hand from whatever he was working on, bringing it up and out sharply. He peers at the weapon, as one would a ill-behaved pet before he lifts his gaze to the freed part. He holds it up to the sunlight where it gleams with the brightmetal blue-silver light.
The piece of metal is flat, about half as wide as Savith's thinnest finger, and half again as long. It's rather flat, and seems like it should have been straight and smooth, but as Savith holds it up, it's clearly twisted and bent out of shape.
As Savith peers at it, a frown blossoms to his face and he mutters, "Owl pellets."

"The bright metal comes from the ground does it not?" The tiger moving to lay in the pool of water while lapping at it. Dancer chuckles more watching him. Happy to be with her kitty again. "It is rock that is shaped to be like that right?" She threw pebles in the water. "Couldn't Autumn's Joy do something with it?"

"Possibly," the glider replied, setting the broken piece down while drifting the tool kit to his other hand. "And I don't know how it's made. Only eight of these were made, by a Master Weapon maker. I've heard of him, heard the sounds of what I assume is his craft, and his laughter on occasion, aimed for My Lor- mmm.... Anyway, it's metal, that's all I know. If it can be shaped, Joy's welcome to that piece, to try to repair it. Otherwise..."
He pulls out a replacement, "I'd better not break that again. Ever." He glances over at Dancer finally.

"I've heard stories that rocks made the bright metal. I don't know how either I just figured it must be rock shapers." She shrugged a bit s her eyes came up from the water to look at him. "Fathom gets little rocks from the water that they call pearls. They say it is made by some underwater creature but they don't really look like rocks." A little wave of her hand as if to be rid of the thought and she was on to something else. "Did it take a long time to learn to use the weapon?" Her face wrinkling up a bit with a question. "What did you call it again?"

"Not so long," he begins, eyes returning to his weapon to make the needed repairs. But he pauses and glances over again. "I suppose, it would have seemed a life time, to you," he comments with a shrug.
"I was very old when I started my training," he says in a reminiscent sort of tone. "At least, old in terms of when I should have started. My Brothers, nearly all of them started as children. I was already grown when Voll Called for me. I had to work so much harder, I think, than the rest. But it didn't bother me. I had very little else to offer the Mountain, giving that all I could do was fly, like the rest."

And Savith made her laugh softly. "You think you had little to offer because all you could do was fly? I couldn't even do that, but look at us both. You have been named Chief by all here and hold great responsibility in that. I... I am a healer now and also hold a great responsibility in being so. You and I it would seem have come far from where we started." Her eyes held the smile that showed on her face. She knew he would find some way to bash the compliment. It was his way.

A half grin and a shrug heralded the monotone, "I guess," of a reply.
The grin faded as he continued putting his weapon back together.
"Out for a swim," he asks after a brief pause, and to change the subject.

"Did you want to swim?" She smiled brightly. "You know it wouldn't hurt you to make great effort to visit my Fishy's home." Here she chuckled. She knew Savith wasn't a strong swimmer and it was much easier for Crosscurrent to visit them then the other way around.

Savith flicks a glance over, eyes narrowed. "No, I was asking if you were out for a swim," he clarifies with a touch of chill to his voice. Let's not talk about swimming.

Dancer couldn't help but giggle at his look and tone. "Oh, well I visit Crosscurrent when I can or if he hasn't shown up in the passing of a day." She sighs softly as her mind drifts to the Fishy. "If the sun makes it through the sky and I do not see or hear from him I start pestering him. I'm sure that gives you a bit of relief." She gives him a wink. "I enjoy the water though and what I have found there."

Savith just nods, brows raises in a 'what? this is my believing you face' sort of expression, eyes turning back to his work. Click,snap, click, tink.
