It had only been a couple days since Antoinette was sent to the temple. After leaving she was still in amazement over the gift she had been given. This gift, which she held tightly in her hand, was a small key as she sat on the ground in her plain outfit, consisting of a white dress and makeshift brown shoes. The key was beautiful from all angles with its elaborate heart shape design and pink ribbons. Antoinette had held it up to her face for hours, but found no imperfections. She knew little of what a God was, but the one who had made this key had to be special to make such a beautiful object.

But once the amusement the key held faded, Antoinette began to feel uneasy. For what little she knew of emotions, the one she was beginning to know unwillingly was consuming her happiness. She was beginning to feel a bit lonely. She hadn’t met any of the other tabula. Being born as a single and not a group she was desperate for attention. Her affectionate side was dying to latch onto the nearest person. But as she examined her surrounds she saw no one and anything remotely close to resembling a tabula such as herself. Antoinette sighed and began once again to find joy in staring at her key and remembering her visit to the temple, which brought a smile to her face.

Theron didn't really even bother to acknowledge the other Tabula as he stepped outside into the cooler air. He was dressed in nothing but a pseudo-satin robe, the cloth drawn snug to his waist but the upper half allowed to hang very loosely around his chest. The gaping hollow over where a heart would be was clearly visible, humming with soft blue light from the shard hovering there. Also visible was the elegant key tied to his neck of a similar shade by a tight ribbon. Everything matched.

Under one arm he carried a long, flat, smooth piece of wood and some scraps of paper, in the other hand a cup of rattling art utensils. Antoinette was ignored for the better part as the male made his way to the nearby fountain and began to set things down. He had been sketching inside for a while until things didn't look so crude, but now he rather craved the fresh air.

Still smiling at her key, Antoinette suddenly noticed from a distance something walking. The figure never got close to her, be she watched as it walked past her and to a nearby fountain. Her head slowly moved up in interest to the figure. Staring at it for a while, she finally got off the ground and strolled over to it. She kept herself at a slow but fast pace, not wanting to seem too eager. In her mind she knew what exactly this figure was. It was another Tabula just like her. Perhaps one older than her, if so, she could learn new things about this Locke and the key see what given. Maybe it knew about the key.
“H…h…hello.” Antoinette said meekly as she stood near the Tabula. Then at that very second Antoinette’s eyes caught hold off the gaping hole in the Tabula’s chest. It keep her in awe.

The voice did not make him pause as he continued to arrange his things. In fact, he seemed not to hear at all. Then, turning about, his pale blue eyes connected with hers with frigid scrutiny. The male's form moved easily backward until he had sat himself on the lip of the fountain, his gaze never leaving her even though it gave her form a quick once-over.

The Tabula he'd seen before, it seemed, wished for something of him. Theron tipped his head back slightly. "Hello," He greeted in return, casual and somehow distant. "You are...?"

Antoinette once again remained in her calm state. “Me? I’m Antoinette.” She smiled as she kept eye contact with the other Tabula. It seemed to be the thing to do; the other had his eyes locked on her also. Even with a nice greeting Antoinette didn’t feel as though he was welcomed to see her. It was more as she interrupter him, but this wouldn’t bother her any. She wanted to make as many acquaintances as possible.

“So…who are you, friend? You're a Tabula just like me right? Where are the others?” Antoinette's voice was enthusiastic but not overwhelming.

"I'm not your friend, Antoinette." Theron told her with a soft sort of matter-of-fact nature that it was biting. Still, he remained quite serene. "I am Theron. And I am not responsible for anyone other than myself. I don't care about the others."

With that, he seemed to be done with her, looking back at his papers and beginning to pull the board onto his lap. "You may go."

Antoinette giggled to herself as she watched the typical upset child phase into a bitter state. She assumed everyone else probably saw him as the mean one around. He was practically the same age as her as well, but with such an immature attitude he could be called a child. Antoinette kept her mouth shut for a moment but in her mind thoughts raced back and forth. Stepping toward him, she held her hands together calmly and spoke softly.

"Hathor said this once before to me...it's okay. He told me others would not accept my affection or interest. I understand that your rasa makes you a mean boy."

She stared at the ground innocently, her cheeks flushed with anxiety. She expected him to either yell at her or just say something else mean. He was becoming quite predicatble actually.

"Don't be insufferable," He returned passively, eyes raising to look past her, to the scenery. He blindly chose a thin piece of charcoal and began to sketch. The tree, stripped of its varying coat of leaves began to form, gnarled branches reaching for the tops of the paper but never did manage to touch. It was Antoinette who was the simple one to him, oh so content just to sit around and gawk or bother someone who was clearly content without her. She was stupid because she kept persisting. But she wasn't as annoying as some of the other females he had met. Not yet.

"What do you want from me, such a mean boy?" Theron would implore when he was beginning to detail in the fine lines of bark.
