Alright, this will be a simple Role Play based off of my story, The Eve of Eternity, so I'll explain the rules here.

Rules:

You may NOT use an existing character from the story line, but I may use those characters (though rarely if ever) to make small appearances now and then.

The time setting is current in relation to the story line thus far, which means you may create a character using a Martial Sorcerer theme. In addition to this theme, there is also a default theme for the following:

Swordsman: Master of sword play, utilizes some martial arts in combat, but prefers to rely on a weapon, usually a sword. A swordsman is a common appearance in the world, and thus they do not have any knowledge of magic.

Bowman: Master of archery, utilizes a bow for long range combat, and a short sword for close range. Prefers to fight at a distance when possible, as they are limited in close range combat. A bowman is a common appearance in the world, and thus they do not have any knowledge of magic.

Knight: Master of all weaponry and mounted combat, also specializes in the use of heavy armor. Knights are sworn to protect, and thus cannot stray from helping someone in need. While knights also tend to be common appearances in the world, it is not unusual to see a knight cast a spell or two. However, they do not have the skill required to become Martial Sorcerers and thus have limited knowledge of magic, if any.


Sorcerer: These Magic users are the most common form of magical users in the world. It takes a dedicated mind, a lot of intelligence, and a disciplined spirit to become a Sorcerer. Sorcerers tend to have a very large arsenal of spells at their disposal, but because of the time it takes for them to cast one they will usually be very vulnerable to attacks. Because of this, Sorcerers are usually accompanied by another person, or a group, of close combat, mid-range, or even long range fighters. Utilizing this strategy, the Sorcerer is capable of getting off powerful spells while their partners protect them and keep the enemy at bay. They have the same elements as Martial Sorcerers.

Martial Sorcerers:A Martial Sorcerer is a person who is fully capable of using Magic. Since using magic sometimes takes a considerable amount of time, effort, and concentration, these breeds of sorcerers have taken a different approach to fighting. While they are very much capable of going head-to-head with other Sorcerers, they are also well equipped with weapons, or with Martial Arts knowledge. They can be seen using anything from a Bow, to a Spear or anything in between. They mainly specialize in magic that supports their own ability to fight, but it is very common for them to have an arsenal of high level spells at their disposal.

Air : Presumed to be the strongest of the four Inner elements. Those who carry the ability to control Air magic have a deep history behind their lineage, and are usually the children of nobles, royalty, or esteemed sorcerers. There are very few in existence that are known. Air sorcerers have control over Wind, but they also control the skies and all that happens. This means they also have control over lightning, but with the aid of a water sorcerer they can create heavy storms.

Fire: Fire is the most common of the four Inner elements. Those carrying the ability to control fire magic have parents or descendants that were/are middle class in the social ranking system. Fire sorcerers tend to seek out Air sorcerers, as the combination of air and fire can be tremendously powerful. While this element is very easy to control, it still requires certain conditions to be met, such as an area that is not heavily moist, fogged, or misted with water. The common Fire Sorcerer is only capable of using fire magic when something is lit on fire, but the advanced users can create fire with a simple motion of snapping their fingers.

Water: Water is the next common of the four Inner elements. Those carrying the ability to control fire magic belong to the upper middle class social ranks, and are usually very intelligent. Like Fire, Water sorcerers can tend to seek out Air sorcerers, as the combination of water and fire can also be tremendously powerful (Ex: A hurricane). Water requires very little conditions to be met, these requirements being: Moisture in the air, sweat on a person's body, saliva in the mouth, or a droplet of rain. Even the smallest amount of water can be turned into an ocean, but such techniques require an advanced level of skill. The most common water sorcerers can create 20 liters of water from 1 fluid ounce of water. Most water created by Water Sorcerers is considered to be 'pure water' and thus, it does not conduct an electric current. A skilled sorcerer, however, can 'pollute' the water they create and mix the environment with it so that it can conduct electricity. This action is usually only done when combining magic with an Air sorcerer.

Earth: Earth is almost as rare as Air magic, and those who use it belong to the upper class social rank such as nobles, aristocrats, big time business owners, or well-known merchants. Earth magic boasts a near 'impenetrable' defensive capability. As even the most common earth sorcerer knows how to shield himself using his environment, they can be very tough to deal with. When dealing with an advanced earth user, most tend to choose the easy option and simply run away. Most Earth Sorcerers tend to wear a thin, but very dense, layer of magical armor around their skin. Because the armor usually matches, or acts as, their natural skin color, is it very difficult to spot an Earth user by sight. These users tend to be lone wolfs, but occasionally they group up with others who user Earth magic.

Brief History:
Deckard is an orphaned child, given away almost immediately after birth. He is chivalrous, yet he often plays joke on people or hides the truth from them until a specific moment so that he may surprise them. He fights for the weak, and also to avenge his village. He is currently journeying to save his best friend, Estelle.

Estellise:
Age: 22
Gender: Female
Brief History:
Estellise is the best friend of Deckard since they were kids. The two of them have been together since then although she has since disappeared on the fateful night of their village's raid by Toren's bandits. There is not much known about her past other than her being around Deckard, the only ones who knew anything of it are long since thought to be dead.

Kaneas:
Age:22
Gender: Male
Brief History:
Kaneas is a mysterious man with an even more mysterious past. Kaneas is a user of Air magic, and was hired to protect Deckard around the same time that Toren was hired to kill him. Kaneas doesn't show any signs of being evil, but his true nature is still unclear. He seems to know about Deckard's past, which makes him one of the only living people who does. He is currently training Deckard, even though they are the same age.

Toren Falsted:

Gender: Male
Brief History:
The bandit "King". Toren is a user of Earth magic, but he has a very unusual speed despite his physique. There is not much that is truly known about Toren's past, other than his powers and ruthless nature to kill. Toren stands a full 6 feet tall, weighs 225 lbs and is mostly muscle. He always wears leather breast plate and wields a wide long sword that is 5 feet long for just the blade.



I don't expect this thread to become overly large right off the bat, but it should at least give some of us something to do.

**Update**

This thread isn't only JUST an RP thread. I'm using this RP to allow others to potentially become a part of the actually story. So if for some reason your role playing just happens to be very good, and you do get a chance to get a few posts where Deckard or Kaneas themselves enter (courtesy of me of course) then you may very well end up being a character within the story. Just remember that in order to be a character in the story, you will need a detail character background, otherwise it's rather difficult to add you to the existing storyline.

Thelmios:

Known to many as the "Bandit City", Thelmios is a city filled with thieves, murderers, assassins, and every other type of criminal. Thelmios is quite large, its city containing over 50,000 residents with each of them being a criminal of some sort. To most people, even going near Thelmios is something completely unheard of or out of the question to do. There aren't many people or adventurers that travel to Thelmios, unless they have a death wish or are a part of the city's society.

Beythemisia:

The grand and marvelous Capital City of the Silver Legion, the civilization boasting the largest Empire in the world. Beythemisia is home to over 750,000 residents, including a large number of nobles and aristocrats. Beythemisia is so incredibly large that it is divided into what the city calls "Sectors". There are 20 sectors in all, and each sector is given a number and a ruling Magistrate. The sectors are numbered in accordance to the number of people who reside there,the ranks and number of nobles who reside there, and the political power and magical power that their Magistrate holds. Many would disagree with the current logic of this idea, stating that the system is "Out of Date" and that the ruling Magistrates are not numbered according to how powerful they are, magical or otherwise. While all of these nobles are ruling Magistrates of Beythemisia, it is common for those from other sectors to not know who the other Magistrates are, especially by appearance. Because each sector is treated like its own city, there is not much taught in schools about the other ruling Magistrates from other sectors. This sometimes leads to sticky situations when some of the less kind Magistrates take walks in neighboring sectors to see how they are doing and they are often not immediately recognized by their social status.

Brief History:

Fenix is an only child, or rather he recently became an only child and succeeded his parents and brother's status. The mysterious death of his brother was never investigated, but there are many rumors that Fenix killed him in cold blood. Fenix normally acts like any other person would act by being considerate and kind, but under this facade he hides an evil demeanor known only by his family and friends. Fenix has shady dealings throughout Beythemisia, which involves drug trafficking, slave trading, and many other things. He is corrupt to the core, and will generally stop at nothing to get whatever he wants. While his element is not considered "normal" for a person of his social status to have, he controls it quite well. Among his peers, the other Magistrates, he is considered an "outsider" because he is only a half-blood noble and not a full blood.

Fenix was the Magistrate of Sector 14, the part of Beythemisia which is known to be the most corrupt, evil, and shady part of the grand city. Fenix has no mercy in killing anyone who threatens him, and he also will not hesitate to exercise his power to throw someone in jail --provided that the person in question doesn't have more social power than he--. Sector 14 is where the most notorious criminals gather to make dealings in the Black Market, and many of them are directly in contact with Fenix himself.

She is very impulsive, and ignorant of what her actions or words might spark in others.

Generally a follower, she is also a leader sometimes whenever she feels the current leader isn't doing a good enough job. She likes to be on the front line of everything, presumably because she enjoys being first.

Tarren is often mistaken for Toren, which he thoroughly despise and quickly rebukes. He is very thin, but isn't as weak as he actually might appear. Tarren is a ladies man, and flirts constantly with anyone who he might think he has a chance with. He is the fifth Magistrate of Beythemisia as well as another one of Firomis' allies.

Brief History:

Damian is the sixth Magistrate of Beythemisia and another ally of Firomis. Damian is another mysterious person, similar to Karen in that he rarely speaks unless spoken to. He tends to try and become a shield for his allies in battle, in order to assure that no one gets injured at all and tends to overwork himself constantly because of it. He shows genuine care for all of his friends, and they usually show care for him as well. He has a very gentle and loving personality, even though he is quiet.

Void Liters:

The term void liter is derived from people who are capable of using magic. Inside each and every user of magic is a 'void-like' container which stores that person's reserves of magic. A person can have a high volume of void liters, and still be a weak magic user, however. Void Liters only represent the amount of magic you have available to you each day that you have fully rested. Magic Potency Level is what determines how powerful a user of magic is, so one must take both VL and MPL into consideration when determining the power of another magic user.

Magic Potency Level:

Magic Potency Level is determined by how a magic user casts his or her spells, how much efficiency training they have undergone, and how much VL per spell that they put into each spell. Generally, a person with a high VL is likely to have a high MPL also, but if they lack experience with magic efficiency the MPL is lost in the transfer of VLs. To explain this better look at this example:

Caster 1 has 75,000 VL
Caster 2 has 50,000 VL

Caster 1 has undergone very little Magic Efficiency training, and thus 50% of all his MPL is halved.
Caster 2 has undergone lots of Magic Efficiency training and thus gains a 50% boost to his spells.

Therefore, Caster 1 has a maximum MPL of 37,500, while Caster 2 has a maximum of 75,000.

Firomis leaves the Caine residence, deciding to head down the the local market to buy food for the day. As he comes to the gate, he looks back at the mansion before resuming his walk towards the market. Upon arriving at the market he begins to look around, trying to decide what to buy.
He begins buying a few vegetables, fruits, and some fresh meats for cooking later that evening. As he looks around once more, he notices that the market place was unusually emptier than normal. He then realizes that today wasn't a holiday, so something must have been going on in the city to make the market place empty.

A young girl runs inside the market. She leans against the wall, trying to even her breathing. Kristin looks up at a young man inside the shop. With some quick movements of her hands, she tries to fix her clothes and hair, feeling a little embarassed on the way she looked at that moment. Having to run away from people always made her look messy afterwards.

(No problem)

"I am not running away from anything", she says. "And if i was, why would I tell you?", she never did like having to open up to other people, especially to people she didnt even know.

"Caine?", she had heard the name before. Maybe he could actually help her. "Well then, Mister Caine, I am Kristin. If you could just tell the people coming this way that I am not here, then i would be grateful to you" she added, trying to hide the slightest sade of red on her cheeks and hid behind table with fruits on it.

A few people, holding swords, run inside the market.
"Have you seen a girl coming past here?" said a man, while looking around.

( im used to having to wait untill my character is accepted before i roleplay. Thats the only reason why i didn't post.)

Ramas walks into the market looking for food. He just managed to get paid and hadn't eaten in days. He sees one of his former employers guards question a man about a girl. What the hell is that fool doing? Doesn't he know swords aren't allowed out of their sheaths here? "Jakar what are you doing here? Don't you have some business with your noble?"
