Eiry arrived on the back of Isi's scooter, almost more than ready to devour the whole of Maevin's lawn. He hadn't been eating in such a long while and the small feast that Isi had brought for Eiry the day of his recovery was hardly enough to satisfy the insatiable appetite of a death-eater on a diet. So, as soon as Isi slowed down enough for Eiry to glide off of the back of his scooter, he did so, and with his characteristic glee, Eiry descended upon the garden, spreading greenery and blooming flowers everywhere he went. Behind him, a moody guardian glared balefully at the Maevin mansion.
"I'm going to find something that requires my whole attention," he said underneath his breath as he dug into his backpack, searching out some of the garden trimming tools that he had brought. He was going to get them ready for Eiry to use. Glancing over his shoulder at his flouncing raevan as he passed from bush to bush, bringing them to life with the single inhale and roll of his shoulders, Isikoro called out, "Eirdirsceol! Only eat the front yard if you must! Be careful, I don't want you over eating and getting sick afterwords!"
He knew that now that he had yelled out to his frei that the monstrosity that was Lillian Maevin would be coming out to greet them, and Isi gave a sigh, wishing he could hide himself within his backpack so he didn't have to put up with that stubborn girl.

Just as Isi suspected, in no time the familiar creak of the Maevin's front door sounded. The loud cry of the wood sliced into the chilly air. Even though winter's place upon the earth was descending, it's cold silence still hung over the shoulder's of the inhabitant of the island.
Soon upon the porch was Lillian. Her eyes scanning the front yard until she spotted Isi squatting over his book-bag. The lass's fists clenched as a scowl formed over her cherry red lips. At least she had grown used to their comings. Even though she detested seeing the scraggily boy, she had no one to blame but herself. After all, she was the one who hired Isi and his raevan. There was no reason to complain for something she created.
"Hello Isi." The teen called as she leaned against the porch railing, her fingers drumming against the wood, paint chips falling off as she did so. "How are you today? It's been a while."
As Eiry breezed through the yard a grey figure was made clear once green returned to the dead land. There, sitting amongst the bushes was the children's guardian, Iorek. The large raevan's clawed hand was tending to a small bush, his large fingers lifting up each and every branch to check for buds. If spring was on it's way, Tyson had told him that small green buds could be found upon the branches. Out of curiosity, Iorek couldn't help but check and see. The raevan had no clue that the gardeners had returned to his home. He had grown so used to their presence that no longer did his nerves p***k and his body ache at the thought of the intruders. Instead, they sat as well on his mind as Lil and Tyson did.

Isi's movements stiffened as he dug into his backpack, paused for the split moment that he heard Lillian's footsteps clunk against the wood of their porch. Then he heard her speak, a question that Isi would be forced to answer. He wanted to keep this strictly on business, and ignoring her wouldn't be very business-like. As much as he wanted to, just keep his back turned and pretend like he didn't hear her, Isi found himself making a sound.
"Fffffff....Fine. I'm doing fine," he replied in a strained voice, he glanced over his shoulder, giving a forced smile in her direction, "Apologies for missing our other dates," he said, obviously meaning the dates he was supposed to come with Eiry to work on their garden. For the past couple months, he wasn't able to make it to any of his client's houses because of Eiry's depression. "Eiry wasn't doing too well."
Eiry kept an ear open to their conversation as he floated by, sucking in the death from the bushes and plants that lined the walk to the porch. His pointed ears perked when he heard the word "dates" and without a hitch, Eiry's keen mind when into motion.
Dates...Valentine's Day...Kiss...
Of course, Eiry didn't know much about the holiday, but he had learned enough from Riv to figure out what had to happen. Questions were asked when Riv was prepping for Aphismet's own Valentine's day surprise, and Eiry had to wonder why Isi wasn't getting ready to celebrate too. Well, Eiry thought with a false sense of duty, he would just have to plan Isi's demise...holiday...Himself. But he would need a partner in crime.
Eiry turned towards a familiar looking hulk of grey near the bushes on the other side of the lawn and a devious smile slipped over his face.
"Iorek!"
Flitting over to the other raevan, Eiry slipped his arm onto his and gave a big convincing grin, "Iorek, samehearted friend! Does Lady Lil have a date this heart day? Valentine's?"

Lillian watched the other with keen eyes; studying how his back stiffened and the rest of his body froze when her voice reached his ears. Even now, after not having seen him in a few months, she could tell he still detested hearing her voice. For many Lillian knew she'd be angered by such a sight, but Isi was different. A thrilled shiver ran down her spine as she made her way down the steps of the old creaky porch. It was too much fun teasing the younger teenager. He was like the mouse, and she the cat.
With arms folded and resting upon her chest, Lil made her way over to Isi. "It's alright. Like usual we let winter take it's course. Nothing to really worry about." She shrugged casually and looked Isi up and down, questioning if he had grown taller or not. "I assume he's feeling better now? He seems to be in a better mood anyways."
Iorek's long ears twitched as they caught the name before his brain could register it. The large raevan lifted up his head and looked in the direction it was coming from. But before he could utter a hello he was taken in against the other raevan.
The gargoyle's nose twitched at the smell of moisture, death, and something sweet that hung over Eiry's skin. A gentle smile fell upon his lips as his bright green eyes graced over Eiry's happy face. "Ah, Eiry. Hello. You have been gone so long. I've missed you." A deep chuckle escaped his throat as he situated himself so he could better float but still be grasped by his friend. It certainly had been a long time since they were able to hug and whatnot. Yet it was not time to ask for where he had been, it seemed that there were other things to discuss now. His visible brow arched in question as the older frei asked about his guardian.
"Valentine's? You mean Valentine's day? The day of red and heart candy?" The frei tilted his head to the side and raised one of his large hands to tap at his chin. He had heard about the coming day from the children and also from magazines. The day of love. When one would give their sweetheart what they desired. For a few moments he wracked his mind for an answer, but nothing came up from the murky gloom. "No...I don't think Lily does. A date is another person, yes? If so, no. Not at all. Why do you ask?"

Isi inwardly groaned as Lillian walked closer, trying to keep his back to her so he didn't have to face that smug face of hers and deal with her condescending statements. He pretended to have his attention completely absorbed in rummaging through the contents of his backpack, and only barely twisted himself around to give her answers that rudimentary politeness business required for him to give. Besides, it wasn't like she really cared what he had to say. She was just killing time, like Isi was, while Eiry dined on the dead in the front yard.
"Thanks," he said, wishing at the same time that he could dive into the backpack at that exact moment, or that Eiry would waltz over, full from dead cellulose souls. "Yes, he is. All back to normal. But it was trying for a time. The important thing is that he's happy."
Isi frowned as he heard himself talk. He thought he sounded like a character from a child's picture book.
"So, how's Iorek?"
"I've missed you as well!"
The minty raevan squeezed the rock hard arm of his fellow companion as hard as his lithe arms could squeeze, before he leaned in close and laid his head on Iorek's shoulder. He kept up his smooth facade, giving his grin as sweetly as he can. He had to make sure that he convinced Iorek to join his plan! He needed an inside on Lillian's side! A partner who has the same goal as he! And Iorek was just the raevan he needed.
"Yes," Eiry exclaimed happily at the stony raevan's description of the pink swathed holiday, "That day. It is not uncommon knowledge that Isi has not a date as well. Listen listen! We cannot tarry-dally, we must make a good Valentine's! Of pinkhearts and nothingsweets! ...Sweetnothings. Your Lily and my Isi. You do not want them sadface on a happyday? Right?"

Lillian eyed Isi with distaste as the lad pretended to search through his bag. She knew he was merely stalling, bidding his precious time before he had to cast his eyes upon her. Why he avoided her eyes she didn't know. Sure they didn't like each other but what a juvenile way of showing it. The 'I won't look at you' treatment really brought her back to grade school.
Honestly, she merely hung around him because he was stuck gardening at her house. If she hadn't employed them, Lillian certainly wold not be speaking to the brat. No one would. He was such a immature grump! Of course it was so late now to really fire him. Besides, Aphi must have been happy that Isi's little business actually had someone to work for.
"Ah..that's good. I'm glad he's happy again." Lillian's eyes rose away from glaring a hole in Isi's back to watching the raevans. She couldn't hear what they were saying, but they certainly were chatting about something interesting. "Oh, Reks has been good. He and Ty are getting along much better. The guy has taken a great interest in Tyson's comic books and has brought the little guy back into the right frame of mind."
Iorek chuckled, his laughter deep and rocky, as Eiry held onto him. He had no idea what Eiry was planning. Slowly, long arms with large pieces of rock embedded in them wrapped around Eiry. The cold hands squeezed the green frei close to his chest. A huge deserved another hug, and he did give the best hugs in the world.
A faint sound that resembled a heart beat creaked against the shifting rock as Iorek adjusted his grip.
"Tarry..dally?" The gargoyle arched a brow, but listened carefully to the rest of Eiry's fluttering words. "Lily and...Isi? Well...I-I do not wish for her to be unhappy, no sadface, but...Don't they dislike one another?" The young raevan turned to look at the scene before him. Lily and Isi looked positively chilling beside one another. It was absolutely frightening. "Look at them..Lily is very unhappy in his presence."

Giving a pleading look to the heavens above him, Isi made a face of woe, squeezing his features tight as if in that precise moment he were asking the gods to take pity upon him, wishing, with every fiber in his being that this nosy dim-witted two-toothed flat-chested hairball of a girl would be ripped up from the earth by some supernatural force and thrown to the distant edge of the world, far, far away from him.
Eiry gestured with the roll of his shoulder back at the two teenagers. He crawled up Iorek's large chest and grinned two inches away from the other raevan's stony cheek, "Look, look," he piped in a whisper, "Look!" With the flutter of his one wing, Eiry made sure that his companion was watching their guardians, before he continued, checking constantly with the peripherals of his vision as he spoke, "You see...Look! Lily is very unhappy because Isi does not look at her! Does not make eye at her! And look now! Isi is unhappy because he is shy. He is in pain, looksee! He is in pain because he does not know what to say."
Isi, quickly wiping off his heavens-beseeching expression lest the she-demon catch a glimpse of it, managed to throw together a sentence, "Me too," he said stiffly, "Oh, really? That's good. Good. I'm glad that they are. Comic books, you say? Very interesting. That'll be sure to give him some interesting ideas. He hasn't tried to throw any heavy cars or washing machines around has he?" Oh, what he would say to make conversation that distracted her away from his case.
Eiry continued reporting on Isi's behavior, decoding each movement, each gesture, roll of the eyes, angry puff and sag of the shoulders, he twisted it all around in that cleverquick brain of his and spun silky words of romance, "You see now, Isi is not sure if what he said is right. He doesn't know what he can say to make her happy or what to say that would speaktrue his heartfeelings! And Lily wants him to say it, but she can't come out and say that, not unless she wants to frightflight Isi away. We must help them, Reks." Eiry took this moment to slide off of Iorek's shoulder and hold him tight by each shoulder, "Yes! This is a must-do! Valentine's day! We shall bring them one to one! Yes? Yes?!"
A nod...A nod is all Eiry needed, and his plan would be good as set in stone.

"Ah...." The stone raevan moved back to adjust to Eiry's change in position. His fists clenched with uncertainty against the warm breath against his cheek. The puffs that washed over his "flesh" was moist and smelled of mint, similar to those long and stretchy strands the children called "gum".
Obedient as a dog, when Eiry made a motion for them to look, Iorek turned his vibrant eyes onto the two. The raevan's orbs narrowed as Eiry's voice wove a tale that would only create terrible mischief. Yet the younger lad did not realize this. Oh no...he gobbled up every word. His arched brows arched and drew together with concern. Lily was unhappy? All because of that boy named Isi? He didn't want Lily to be sad...he never wanted her to be sad.
Lillian smiled at Isi's question with great pride. "He's lifted a car off the ground a few times and has lifted up a washing machine to help me clean. But nah, he hasn't thrown anything yet." A smirked fell across her lips. "Sorry, but it doesn't look like you'll be rid of me just yet due to a freak accident concerning my raevan."
Help: That word made Iorek's ears shoot up straight and his torso lift higher in the air. "O-Of course! I'll do anything to help Lily and her friend, Isi!" He burst with a quick nod of the head unknowingly releasing the mint beast into the elements of his home life. "But...." His voice broke in half, scattering his confidence, "What exactly...are we going to do? What are heartfeelings...and why does Lily want to hear them...and how do we bring them one to one?" There was just so much to gather! Iorek didn't know where to start or how to handle it. Eiry was holding that beacon which would guide him to saving the pair...but he was blinded by the beacon's light to realize the mess that would soon unfold.

Isi nodded to everything Lillian was saying, quietly taking in what she was telling him. He thought that the grey raevan had looked very strong, but he had no idea that Iorek would be so strong as to lift cars and washing machines. That was incredible and in fact, Isi thought that it was fascinating, however, he did not want Lillian to see that he was impressed. He nodded at her, making his bangs bounce upon his head before he said, "Really now? That's quite a feat. I hope he doesn't get into trouble with that ability. Like someone else I know..." he glanced over to his raevan and frowned a bit. The two frei, locked underneath each other's arms, were looking at them. Isi huffed and watched as they noticed him, smiled, and turned aside. They were up to something, Isi knew. He could tell whenever his frei was up to something. The problem was, though, that he never really was quite sure what exactly they were up to.
...Which left him in a very precarious position, indeed.
Swinging Reks towards a particularly interesting young sapling, Eiry dodged his guardian's suspicious grey eyes. He gave a chuckle, patting Iorek heartily on the back. "Good, good!" he piped happily.
Inwardly, Eiry's mind was aflame with excitement. His companion in crime was so easy to manipulate, it was amazing! A perfect tool for what Eiry wished to accomplish: Total mayhem. Of course, he did have some good intentions. He did want Isi to have a date on Valentine's day.
...So if this was the only conceivable way for Isi to get with a girl on the most romantic day of the year...Then so be it.
Eiry grinned widely at Reks, "Spirit, you have, and more heart still! You swear for a good cause, my heartfriend. Come, listen listen. Don't listen to me, listen. We must bring them to a special place, a park, a hike, a pond with statues or something. There, we can take away their jackets, so that they close huddle. Then, when they're close enough, we can release jars of fireflies, beautiful they will fly! Heartfeelings will blossom and Isi and Lil will be one to one at merrylast!" Eiry slid away from Reks, raising a brow at him. His grey face was bright with enthusiasm. "Yes yes?"
