Vincent was bored. He had just gotten his father to agree to take him to the park. In the cold. Where apparently no one was brave enough to venture. Where were all the kids? He didn't see 'Zuba or her family, and-- well, 'Zuba was pretty much the only person he knew.

Joshua was home sick. With a cold. Again. So Vinny was out of luck. He had no one to play with. Ben wouldn't play with him--

The man was too busy reading one of Thali's short stories. Thali resented the fact that she was stuck at home with a sick child; so she set Ben to critique her work.

What a surprise. Once again, Noah had left Aludra with a babysitter. When would that man learn that such a choice of actions was not a good idea? Somehow, Aludra had gone through the process of having his babysitter -a man with a name impossibly long and not at all possible to pronounce- alter a prince's costume he'd made however long ago to fit the boy, as well as allow him to have a small, well-painted wooden sword, that appeared as though it could almost be real. The little boy was letting his tail flick back and forth as he walked through the little park happily, swishing the sword back and forth, though he didn't appear to be pretending to fight any things, as many children would do.

That was when he caught sight of something -or, someone- that made his jaw drop. Only for a moment, of course, before he let the fake sword drop and immediately ran up to the other boy, red-rimmed eyes wide in wonder as he stared up at the other. Two, two, gold headwings, and scaly skin that actually looked somewhat consistent, and a tail, with SPIKES on the end of it?! How could someone so awesome even EXIST?!

Nouă, the babysitter who had been following the child around, couldn't help but laugh weakly at his overly-close observation of a child who looked remarkably like Aludra himself. He picked up the abandoned sword, and took a few steps back, sitting on a nearby bench and watching the two kids with a wary eye.

Vinny was also staring, in careful curiousity. Why was this boy looking at him so strangely? Was his shirt on backwards? Was his hair uncombed? Did he have something in his teeth? He felt rather self-conscience. "Hi," He said cheerily, he thought he should be polite, at least. The boy had to be younger than he was. Maybe they could be friends.

"My name's Vincent; you can call me Vinny, if you want to be friends. What's your name?" He paused, "I like your outfit," It reminded him of his brother, in a way. Princely.

Aludra blinked abruptly when the boy actually spoke, as though he was under the impression that he was something like the statues in the museum, there only to be admired and looked at, but couldn't talk or move or anything of the like. Of course, upon the conscious realization that this boy was not a statue, the Greed demon's face brightened quite a bit, his tail lifting up from where it had been dragging on the ground and started wagging back and forth, similar to what their dog did when she was happy.

"Vinnnnny?" the little boy questioned, irritated at himself when he was unable to say the name smoothly. He pointed at the other boy in a curious manner, tipping his head. "Vin okay?" he asked, as that was a much easier nickname to utter from his mouth, whereas the other name seemed to not want to get finished when he tried to say it. He swayed on his feet excitedly, liking the fact that the boy was friendly, which was very much a good thing, as he was also very pretty, having many different features that Aludra couldn't help but envy. Oh- right, he almost forgot!!

"'Ludra!" he stated happily, pointing to himself and nodding a couple times. Standing on tiptoe, he gently tapped the little gem in the center of the bigger boy's forehead. "Is pretty," he commented, before gesturing toward the wings that the boy had on either side of his head, the wings on his own ankles fluttering a bit at the similarity in build, though not in colour. "Like 'Zuba's, but two. Lucky," he stated simply, nodding a few more times, before looking down at his outfit and smiling slightly, his gaze once again shifting to Vincent. "Thanks. Friend made for 'Ludra. Happy with," he said, nodding once more. That was certainly saying something; it was rare that Aludra was actually happy and content with something that had been given to him; usually he wanted more. Or just something 'better'.

Vinny smiled and nodded, "Vin's okay," He said. He was pleased to meet someone new, even if they were younger than he was. The boy seemed friendly, he acted somewhat like Joshua. Bouncy. Vinny liked that.

The older boy blinked slightly. He'd never been told that anything on him was pretty. "Um. Thank you.. Uh, Ludra." He said, he didn't really know what to say. He was modest to a fault. He'd never considered the jewel pretty. He'd always assumed it was something that made him strange. "I like your hair, it's a nice color." He said pleasantly. It was a nice color, Vinny was slightly envious. "You know 'Zuba?" He asked, with a tilt of his head.

If the boy knew 'Zuba, then he knew Ludra would be a good friend.

Aludra frowned a bit at the comment about his hair, fiddling with the tip of one of the bubblegum pink strands. He shrugged. "Not like much. People think 'Ludra's girl; pink pretty on girls, not 'Ludra," he said, shrugging the compliment off. He didn't really like that all too much. He'd rather have hair like Wincent's, that was of a more boyish colour, at least. Or, maybe he just liked admiring others' hair colour on them, instead.

"Yeah, know 'Zuba. Friend of 'Ludra's and 'Dhara's, is 'Ludra's sister," he explained, nodding a few times at that and smiling a bit. He pointed to the other boy. "Know 'Zuba?"

Vinny shrugged. "My mom doesn't like pink, but I'd bet she'd like you." He told his new friend. It was true; Thali liked everyone. "Maybe you can come to my house sometime, and play." He suggested. He paused, thinking of 'Zuba. 'Ludra spoke like her. He wondered why..

"I haven't met anyone named 'Dhara," Vinny said, "Is she nice?" Another person he would have to meet. "'Zuba's my friend too. Did she teach you any games?"

Aludra shrugged at the thought of the other boy's mother liking him. He wasn't completely sure about that- both Adhara and Noah were always paranoid when he went over to other peoples' houses, because he had a bad habit of taking their stuff. Like, all the time. Which was probably a bad thing; at least he'd gotten out of habit of carrying that halo around with him. Well, not carrying it; it was currently was tied to the belt around the waist of his fnacy clothes.

"Would be nice," he stated in reply to going to the other boy's house. "'Dhara very nice. Ask 'Zuba 'bout," he stated, nodding a few times. He'd prefer the other girl tell about his sister: She'd known the other girl for longer, after all, and would probably be able to explain about her a lot better. He tipped his head curiously. "Games? No, no games."

"I will," Nodded Vinny, smiling. He paused, so 'Zuba hadn't taught her friend any games? Surprising. That had been one of the first things she'd told him about.

"Do you want to play something?" The older boy asked, looking at Aludra. "My brother Joshua's taught me some fun games. Like tag, hide-n-seek.." He named some of the games he thought the younger boy would know.

"'Course!!" Aludra exclaimed brightly at the mention of games, swishing his tail around a bit, smiling happily. He gestured toward the slight man who had brought him to the park that day; he was probably in his early thirties, but he still had the build and appearance of a teenager, not including being covered in wounds and bruises and other such things. "Hide'n'seek. Want Nou', too?" he asked. The man would play with them, definitely, and Aludra usually thought hide and seek was more fun when more people were playing.

Vinny nodded. "Sure," He said, "It's always more fun to play hide-n-seek with more than two people." He looked at the man curiously. He looked about his uncle's age. "Maybe he wants to be it first?" He suggested, before pausing. "Or do you want to be it?"

Aludra laughed a bit at the idea of being it and shook his head. "Not it," he said, nodding a few times. He didn't like being it; after all, he managed to practically blend into the background when he really needed to; it was also good for his temper, given he used the time to calm himself down as much as he could, to the point that his breathing could barely be heard.

"Nou'!" he called, and the man looked up from -sewing?- and rolled his eyes, walking over and dropping down on his knees with a smile to both the boys. "Need anything, Aludra?" he asked, ever the servant to the 'prince', though Aludra honestly preferred fancying himself no more than a knight. Aludra pointed up to the man. "Hide'n'seek. Nou' is it," he said, grinning. Nouă merely smiled and nodded a bit, before sitting cross-legged and covering his eyes.

"Twenty, nineteen, eighteen, seventeen, sixteen..."

Vinny grinned, and took off to hide behind the brightly colored slide. It was side enough that it could keep even his tail from being seen, as long as they didn't look behind the slide. He sat cross legged, hoping he wouldn't be found. He listened as the man called Nou counted.
PostPosted: Thu Feb 19, 2009 9:33 pm

Aludra looked around for a moment, tapping his lips momentarily before running a quick, wide circle around the man who was counting, before darting behind a rather wide tree, pressing himself against it and flattening his tail, smiling a bit to himself, before steadying his breathing softly. Sometimes, he wished that he could become invisible. If only he could become invisible... Great thoughts when playing hide and seek, actually. Especially given they made him feel as though he was, in fact, completely invisible.

"Three, two, one, zero! Ready or not, here I come!!" he shouted, dropping his hands from his eyes and standing up, spinning three quick circles so even if he did notice the kids, it would take him a while to realize what he was seeing. He stumbled around a bit, searching for some sign of either child, bright blue eyes darting either direction. Aludra would probably be hiding in something like-coloured. The other boy... he wasn't completely sure...

Vinny watched as Nou stumbled. He had to resist a giggle; always his weakness when playing hide-n-seek. He knew he'd be found first; he probably wasn't as good at hide-n-seek as Aludra. He frowned slightly, but then it turned into a smile.

If he wasn't as good as Aludra, maybe the boy would teach him?
