Romans 1:16
"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek."

Ok, throughout our lives Satan tempts us to try to make us turn our beliefs, one of the ways he tempts us is by making obstacles. And they are different for everybody, but they could be similar. What are some ways that we are tempted?

Justification. If you don't watch yourself, you'll justify yourself right into the bad place.

I think procrastination, especially with repentance. If you wait to long before you go to fix your sins, it may be too late.

yeah. and also people you come in contact with, and peer presure.
now most of the times you can't just say ok i'm done and then move on. you have to work on getting over these temptations and sins. how are some ways that you have overcome these temptations?

Through prayer and scripture study. For me, it helps the most to be on my knees asking for the strength to overcome whatever it is that I'm fighting against. The process can be slow and hard, but it's well worth it in the end.

Sheer grit. Just making a resolution to never fall prey to temptation again and sticking to it through thick and thin.

I think both those ways work well, especially if you combine them.
okay, here is a situation. tell me what you would do if you were in this situation.
you are talking with a friend and you say what your religion is and then your friend goes all serious and says "I hate Mormons"... what would you do.

I'd say, "I'm sorry to hear that. What happened to make you hate us so?" and then go from there.

I'd remind them that hatred leads to the Dark Side.

ok, this really happened to me. I just looked at my friend and said uh thanks, but I am mormon and i'm not changing. she didn't like mormons because she lived in Salt Lake for a while and her family was like the only family in her area that wasn't mormon and so she said that the other people didn't really like her, and then she asked me if I cared that she wasn't mormon and I said no, I've known this whole year that you weren't mormon and i've still been your friend and she didn't know what to say after that.
