My friend jokes that I look like an older worn out version of Jin. We were going to do a mockumentary about it.

It's a very well done movie. It might have took ten years to make it final but it is definitely one of my favorites.

So I did some searching an the rumor is 2011 is when the movie is suppose to come out. Jim Henson Studios announced it in 2005. Its called the "The Power of the Dark Crystal".

I loved this movie as a kid! I'm glad Jim Henson's son will be producing it xp I'll have to check it out on youtube

I don't think the movie needs a sequel. I adore Henderson's productions, but I'd rather see a newly imagined universe than something that might not measure up the original.
As an aside, does everyone else feel totally devoid of ideas because the media pushes so many remakes on us? I personally feel that as a species, we've really run out of steam in the past five or so years. At least, looking at the film industry...

remakes should be left to die their just a movie that good that a corp wants to make a quick easy money and if it ends up in a fail which it might or might not just having to wait seeing from other remakes they usually don't end up so well but i hope it does good

Hopefully it will be good, though I think they will be lossing some of the feel of the origional by using CG instead of stop-action animation.

heart the dark crystal is 1 of my favorite movies. hopefully his son will do his dad's memory justice.
