So, I don't have the money to buy a corset with steel boning, and I don't have the time to make one right now. I bought an underbust corset with plastic boning a while back, and now I was wondering if I could replace the plastic boning with steel boning. I have people that could help me do it, but I just wanted to know if it'd be safe to the corset. Thank you ^_^

if they know what they are doing your corset should be fine. Though normally depending the maker a plastic boned corset is made for well.. plastic boning. so just be careful when wearing it and maybe re enforce where teh tips are. make sure teh boning doesnt slide back and forth along the casing because when it does it starts wearing away the fabric. i learned that doing renaissance festivals. with the constant movement of the steel boning (granted the boning was hand made but what ever. I love that boning)
